Alpha*. If youre referring to the Alpha 1 Preview then it should run from the 14th to the 21st nonstop. That being said its an Alpha and crashes/server takedowns for resets/fixes that take time to bake happen. Its more of a test than a game at this point still so temper your expectations accordingly.

As Soul said, Alpha 1 is more of a foundational skeleton to test core features. What you see in Alpha 1 will probably genuinely be very different from what AoC will look like on opening day.

Yeah the betas will be after the alphas. Think of the alphas more where they're still bringing core functions of the game to working order while the betas will be adding all the bells and whistles plus polishing

Note that Alpha 2 is intended to be the only test with 24/7 uptime, The A2 servers will continue being up during B1/B2 (which won't always be up, and work more as scheduled testing sessions) and A2 testers can choose which they want to play on at that time.

@sturdy night It can get very confusing, don't worry. Here's how it works. If you buy the $75 today you'll get the mushroom hat. On the 5th May, if you upgrade to the Alpha 1 package you will pay the difference between your pack and the alpha 1 pack, and get the May cosmetics that are part of that pack

Hello, I had a question concerning any of us that might be very interested in participating in Alpha One but don't have a cosmetic set yet and aren't too keen on getting the current one. Would there be at all a chance for people to buy a "blank" Alpha One pack where you would get Alpha One access now but sort of get a voucher to redeem against one of the future cosmetic packs?

I know it's something that hasn't been done yet, but it hasn't really been needed before since people could just wait until the pack they wanted, where as now Alpha One is tied into it also.

If I upgrade to this new $500 pack from my existing pack (which is the one that’s the next tier down with alpha 2 access) what happens in regards to the cosmetics? Do I keep the ones from my original purchase, do I get the new cosmetics or do I get to choose which set I keep
