If you want to be a skiller primarily I'd suggest researching economic nodes as they have the auction house option which will make your life easier. As to exploring the world, nothing will stop you from doing so. If you fear that someone may attack you then either hire NPC guards or player mercenaries to protect you on your travels.

I can only comment on tests out of NDA, but I have used a controller for movement and basic functions in those. UE4 has native controller support and there will be a way for you to remap keys when all is said and done.

It has been described like an account closet for mount skins, costumes, you name it. You take what you want to wear out of the closet. Put it on a character. When you want to change it, you take it off, put in closet, take out on other character and wear it. You will NOT have the same cosmetic on two characters at the same time.

They have fluctuated on allowing people to design their own tabards or select from a large variety of pre-made. (as far as I remember they were rethinking it), so your answer is yes. There will be ways for guilds to have stuff to wear that denotes their membership.

The price harmonization for other regions is a planned feature, but there are not details when or if your region may qualify. If you do select to play with a regional (cheaper) subscription, you are locked to those specific servers. Your subtime included in your package will not start till live launch after you choose to activate it.

For example l2 had baium boss whos respawn time was 4 days from the last time he was killed. But he also had -+8hour respawn window which means in total you would have had to camp him for 16hours. Yeah i understand shit can happen in development, but last stream they Said they were working on a true raid boss for the alpha. I Honestly dont know how development work, but working on that 30 days before release sounds crazy. I dont believe they need 2 months just for “polish”

Back in 2018 they stated they had over 100 employees. Does anyone know what happened since they were down to 50-60 in 2020/2021?

The framework for art is already there. They still need to implement alot of montly exclusive skins, thats just the art. I assume there is a shitton of work with quests aswell. All the ideas for the game is carefully explained by Steven for years now. I just dont understand what framework they need

Layoffs are normal in this industry. Art team makes 300 sets and goodbye. They are already stacked on art concepts that needs to be implemented.

I mean at this point with the delays, I'm 100% expecting a cyberpunk debacle, but I still remember WoW having a slew of bugs and glitches all throughout its alpha, beta, and launch. That's an unfortunate side effect of MMOs, especially ones that push the networking boundaries. There are a lot of things that can go wrong, which is what testing is for. The problem is, the gaming community is so volatile that it would takes years and years of free public PR to right any wrongs that may have been committed

all that being said, I will still back and play AoC because I believe in what it can be. I believe that if Hello Games can survive and still push for No Man's Sky years later, then pretty much any game company with the right mind set can recover from even the harshest set backs

Hey, I am wondering how extensive the naval content is going to be. I never played an MMORPG with naval content before until recently when I started playing Black Desert Online. In general it seems really interesting and fun, I've been most excited about exploring oceans and islands but BDO has let me down in that aspect sadly because the island were almost always empty or only had a few mobs on them and other than that nothing really unique making it worth my time to go out and sail for a while. So my question is: How is AoC going to deliver their ocean content? I know there's gonna be naval pvp but that's about it.

Before they had said that there might be some regression, but apparently there are some issues with downgrading to a lover level and how that would effect players housing and all the other parts.. would be rather complicated.
