@stable plover Looks like he installed it on a pc without admin access or bad windows, so each time he launched the game, his PC prevented the game from accessing his Appdata files entirely, keeping him stuck on reading patch data.

i.e. replacing his %localappdata% and %appdata% folders after installation fixed it

So we cant really use this to help others

@hearty condor Try unbinding your main binding slot to nothing, then bind whatever key you want to the second slot in the right column. I've seen this resolve the issue for a number of players so far. Is not being able to bind a mouse key a known issue? I had APOC installed last December and had uninstalled it when it went offline. Now use the steam client and when loading it up, it showed my old keybinds that used mouse buttons. I hit "default" in the UI to start over but couldn't bind to a mouse button. So I went through the posted support steps to manually remove all the files in %appdata% etc but no luck.
When I try to assign a mouse button the UI does nothing until I hit ESC, then it just asks me if I really want to rebind ESC yada yada and I cancel.

I worked around it by making a new mouse profile and assigning the keys to the mouse buttons, but this seems a bit jankey so I though to ask. TIA
