@hidden crane do you have any advice for when it stucks at a given percent on downloading? So far, I followed the steps +roaming folder clean-up for anything related to intrepid/apoc. Also, I did a ccleaner clean-up for the registries

sometimes it freezes the download to install files, so if it is under 10 min it's ok, any longer can be a problem

Do we have to re download the client etc I tried to log in to the same launcher as last test and it just says Authentication failed in top right hand corner. If i put wrong username or password it says that instead so im assuming my website user and pasword should still work on this iteration.

For some of my friends they have no Video Options, so their frames are too low to play. There is only Window Mode, Display Resolution and Frame Rate limit.

Make sure game is closed
Open start menu, type RUN, type in %localappdata%, navigate to this: \AppData\Local\APOC\Saved\Config\WindowsClient
And then delete this: https://i.imgur.com/SKHwk3G.png
(The game will auto generate a new one when you launch)

many ppls just try this If your video settings are not showing up, follow these steps:
Make sure game is closed
Open start menu, type RUN, type in %localappdata%, navigate to this: \AppData\Local\APOC\Saved\Config\WindowsClient
And then delete this: https://i.imgur.com/SKHwk3G.png
(The game will auto generate a new one when you launch)

Tbh I couldn't find it, but I remember deleting it long ago. However, I followed all the listed steps. I am trying of hours to install the game and it gets stuck everytime. If I log out, it gets unstuck and downloads to 40%, after that if I log out in order to unstuck it, the game will crash at launch

Make sure game is closed -> Open start menu, type RUN, type in %localappdata%, navigate to this: \AppData\Local\APOC\Saved\Config\WindowsClient
And then delete this: https://i.imgur.com/SKHwk3G.png (The game will auto generate a new one when you launch)

I downloaded Ashes of Creation via Stam.
When I start the game then the Launcher openes and downloaded some files.
Now the "Spielen" (Play) button is available and I clicked it.
I logged in with my Ashes of Creation Account but after that I get the following error message:

I started the Launcher again ans selected to check all installed files.
All files were up-to-date so I clicked "Spielen".
But here I have the same problem again.

I guess the reason is that my Ashes of Creation Account is protected with 2FA.
In the game I can login using my username and my password.
The 2FA code is not requred.

I live in Germany, so Ashes of Creation is also installed in German language.

#

If this is an issue with 2FA, then you should show a message that 2FA is currently not supported by the game.
If it is an issue with the servers, please show a message explaining that the reason is the servers.
The "your game is out of date" is not useful here an causes support issues.

@plucky pawn I used the launcher from last night to install the game on my C: drive which played just fine. I go to launch today, it needs to be patched, so I let it patch. The path hasn't been changed. I've been on "scanning files" for over 30 minutes. I already checked resource manager and I/O usage, APOC is only reading/writing to log files and nothing else. This is on the website version of the game, not the Steam version

I think at this point I would likely recommend restarting the client, and running it as administrator this time when you do 😄 (Right click > run as administrator)

@plucky pawn The window is active and there is no prompt anywhere. I did indeed run it as administrator as I'm usually worried something like this would happen, but it seems to not have mattered. I'll restart the client and try again after I bump that thread with some details. It just looks like sometimes the client doesn't set a flag correctly, or the call to actually start the scanning/downloading processes don't take place

Spoke to soon 😂 I restarted and patched successfully. I restarted again to confirm the patch, and got stuck in the loop again. Restarted a 3rd time and now I'm finally in the game. I really don't know what causes it to be that inconsistent

Nope, I made to be sure I completely wiped %appdata%, install directories, and purged my registry completely of anything intrepid studios related. Like I mentioned, things worked fine last night. Well, fine in the sense that I could play several matches in before needing to restart the client or crashing etc. I don't remember having this looping issue yesterday but I might have and just looked past it 🤔

We don't have dates for Castle Siege and Horde mode yet - Castle Siege is 100v100 pvp with objectives to attack/defend a castle - Horde mode is PvE team defense against attacking waves of monsters

@tribal patio You'll be able to keep the appearances that are unlocked now, you just need to find a valid thing in the MMO to apply the cosmetic to, for example you need to actually have a gliding mount to apply the dawnbreaker skin. The Transmog system has been described as an account inventory that you can move things out of (and back) into cosmetic slots.

@opal prism depends on how you got your A1 pack - KS/SS packs did not come with embers, only the pre-order packs came with embers

So i cant update for the patch and I dont really know what to do. It starts off scanning and it tells me to check the logs. So I did but all I can really understand is that my client isnt up to date. Ive tried using the remove option and reinstalling already

@tawny bluff dont, its not an issue on your end. if you read the logs, it has issues talking to the server on their end.

For those experiencing "Patch Failed, check logs" it seems to be a widespread issue for those using the intrepid client. For now please use the steam launcher or wait for an update, we're letting the devs know asap!
