@tight gale Could you find out if any consideration has been given to applying an opacity adjustment to the bulwark ability (floaty red brick wall) based on whose wall it is? If your teammate puts down a wall, it should give you a tactical advantage beyond just blocking movement. By being able to see through it slightly rather than completely obscuring you from friendly players on the other side, it would allow for your team to react in a way that the other team would be unaware of since they wouldn't be able to see through it. It would also give an immediate indication to both teams if the wall was placed by their teammate or the opposing team.

(Mostly because my current one is very outdated and it can't run AoC :( a game I really look forward to playing), So when looking at parts I wanted to pick them out to be able to run AoC on the highest quality. Hacking, no one can tell you what specs will let you run the MMO on max yet. Maybe Unreal Engine 4’s specs might say what’s optimal. I don’t think you’ll need anything more than a 1080 however. Someone may wish to comment further!

Since the creation of my account, I'm not receiving any e-mails from the website, forgot password and can't reset it (still logged into browser). In september I could send them an e-mail and they manually provided me a reset link last year, but don't seem to get a response anymore. Any other e-mail gets through though.
Anyone else had this problem?
I get it takes time to go through tickets, don't mind that. Just think it is weird I'm not getting the automated e-mails through.
I own the domain for the e-mail of my accountaccount, so already checked all that (spam filtering turned off completely)
last summer I had same problem, and they had to manually reset it. I do get the emails inviting for beta, just not for password reset 😒

@tulip hatch Thank you for the info. For example, ESO uses a similar augment system but is EXTREMELY limited in actually build theory crafting. Really you are just minorly tweaking the same moves. Do we expect this to be that kind of streamline process or will there be more of an actual skill tree to further augment your playstyle other than some skill augments?
Really wondering if this game is more theorycrafting friendly, I.E. Path of Exile or vanilla WoW or more Streamlined like ESO, current wow or really most MMORPGs this day?
System sounds very very similar to ESO so far, which 'sounds' like there is lots to do but in reality there isn't ways to truly optimize. Slightly different ways to play, but no way to optimize the same build.
::;An example would be are most Rogue/Summoners going to be similar to eachother. How you customize is by going rogue/tank instead. Or will Rogue/Summoner then have its own ways to differentiate?

If you think instant teleportation and a charge that takes time to move you around and probably gets stopped very easily are the same, then we can't really help you here.
No class is locked in terms of weapons and armor types. You can wear and wield whatever you want. You will have a variety of passive and active skills to choose but you won't be able to take every single skill that is available to you. Rogue/Mage and Warrior/Mage will have different augments. You will have 4-5 augments for each skill from for your primary class once you get your secondary. You can also get augments from horizontal progression like professions, religion, societal structures, quests and so on.
There is quite a lot of customization and differentiation in all of that above.@slender lake

Well, if you expect to have a single augment that changes a build.. I doubt any game has that. From what i've heard augments can range from changing the skill (the charge example) to changing its elemental alignment (cold to fire damage, light to dark, etc.)

Rightnow i registered on the homepage and it says that the name i choose to register on the homepage will be the one people will see ingame.
So here my question:
When someone buy's the "VOYAGER PLUS PRE-ORDER PACK" you can reserve a name...
But if the name i chose was already taken on the homepage, so would be the name i want to reserve (as it is the same). Does that "reserve a name" of that package reffer to the full-game release after its alpha version or how do i take this with reserving a name ?

Its not only a BR the Apocalypse model has a Castle Siege mode and a Horde Mode for additional testing for the MMORPG, mass castle battles and mob AI
The battle royal is the first of the 3 modes to test combat.
Theres only a small portion of the Dev team working on the BR according to intrepid, all assets (such as architecture ) carry over to the mmorpg so it wastes no resources in that regard.

@simple ether i did want to follow up the question about APOC vs MMO development. There is no formal statement made my IS about this? They have stated that APOC is now a stand alone product. And that statement says resources are shared not majorly dedicated to the MMO over APOC. While conversations with content creators is great, is there an official written statement by the company concerning this? I think the best phasing of this questions would be along the lines of: Are the development resources that are no longer exclusively dedicated to the MMO, but to APOC the BR, effecting the delivery date expectations of the MMO already set by the studio? While I do have faith that things are on track, having an official statement would be reassuring to myself, and i'm sure to others in the community. And even if there are slightly delays caused by APOC improvements that go into the MMO have these been expressed?

@sudden kernel sorry to bug you about this but can i get a thumbs up or down on my account being upgraded to PI? its been 2 months since I purchased the upgrade. It's reflected on the account but the stuff that comes with it that is available now is still locked to me. I am so grateful for the hard work Intrepid is putting into the game. I am, however, a bit worried at how much effort is being put into the PvP portion of the game. I have only seen updates regarding Apocalypse, and not the base game. Is the base game put on hold to cater to PvPers?

@crystal beacon Hey there, the Alpha 0 version of the game was tested back in December 2017. It contained plenty of PvE elements, basic nodes etc.
Technically speaking, we've already tested out tab-target, 4 classes, various skills etc. Furthermore, the 3rd chapter of Apocalypse is a PvE mode known as Horde mode which we'll be seeing in the upcoming months.
In the image below - Castle Siege/Horde dates have been changed, but the information remains the same.

Only flying mount are dragons which have a timed lifespan. They drop from world bosses and events very rarely. Also mayors of cities will have access to a dragon, but it will have a long cool down after use. I doubt this is a flyable one unless it’s a cosmetic for a rare dragon drop.

BR mode is about testing "action combat mechanics"
hybrid means combination of action combat and tab target (at least in that case)
I don't think you can reliably compare it to other games
the only thing they have revealed so far is that you will be able to pick skills that lead more into one direction tab target or action combat but will never be able to go 100% on one side

@upper knoll @soft herald Okay general advice, make sure your logging in with your usernames and not your emails, make sure you've logged into the website at least once before trying to login to the launcher post account migration. If you've just created the accounts it seems to take a few minutes from account registration until the credentials are accessible by the launcher

@plucky pawn I opened a support ticket during 1/12 open beta about my items (white plate armor, and white cloak) not showing up in my inventory from the very first open beta on December. I sent in a support ticket with my username along with the receipt numbers for all transactions and have still not heard anything. I do however....have my wildfire gryphons. Not sure why some items transferred and others didn’t. Any help would be appreciated.

Was able to get around the error 500 issue, went directly to the install folder and ran the Launch_Ashes application, it loaded the game directly without the launcher and im in game. Actually nah it just put me to a character select style screen but then couldnt connect to the game
