it actuallly depends and how the servers run there proxys there where games that were unplayable and some run just fine but with a higher ping rate.. for example i can play lol in NA with a 120 ping or so... that makes it playable but in the LAS server i go with a 38 wich makes a huge different in reacction movements

Question regarding caravan system . The intrepid team has talked about weight in a caravan being indicated somehow to show players it has a lot of goods or not ( in terms of weight ) . Question 1: will super big items like a cow ( if transported via caravan ) be shown on the caravan or just a mass that all magically falls within the caravans shelter . Question 2: does a more full caravan go faster downhill and slower uphill vs a less filled caravan ? Lol
And yes . I know that caravans will be customizable for speed etc. Let’s assume mass of cargo load is the only variable and the rest is held equal in stats .

@errant pulsar very rough recommended personally by me, definitely not official recommended minimums - A GTX 960 (weaker cards have been able to run the game, but no guarantees below that), a CPU that won't bottleneck the 960, your going to need at least 8 gigs system RAM + VRAM, game seems to benefit from being installed on an SSD, Windows 10 is strongly advised

A: Closer to FF14. We want people to have a wide range of view, especially since our battles will be very large. We want people to be able to visually access their surroundings.

@ember fractal The correspondence/copies/receipts/screenshots of any and all tickets to Intrepid will help in order to prove your attempts to reconcile with the vendor (Intrepid). Your next step after collecting that stuff will be to contact the payment processor you made the purchase(s) with. If you used PayPal, you can launch a ticket with them, send them copies of your attempts to contact Intrepid without response, and PayPal will attempt to get Intrepid to reply. If/when they do not, you generally automatically get your refund. Nothing is ever certain, though.
If not PayPal, contact the bank of the card you used to make the purchase and tell them you'd like to initiate a chargeback on the purchase(s), make sure to explain why (not as described, not timely, etc) and stress you have the correspondence/information if they need it. They will generally reverse the charge/look into it.
In addition, for each chargeback, Intrepid generally suffers a $20-$25 fee on top of the refund. This can serve as added incentive to get a company to comply with a refund if deserved.

@nimble blaze Yes, there was some issue with the website data migration. They needed to focus on fixing the issue before going full live again on APOC. Only weekend testing for a bit, then full Live again. Not too far out though!

So i was expecting the possibility to download the open beta before the servers actually go live, are there no option for that? I've installed the launcher, and when trying to login in the top right corner im getting an error message saying the following:
"authentication failed, beta credentials not active yet"
Pretty sure i signed up for the open beta, but i tried taking the link in the link posted just now, to where you can sign up, and i get no option to sign up, so that leads me to believe ive already done so, whats going on? 😄

@minor lance Thats the error message you get because the servers are down right now. You should be able to play no problem tomorrow once the servers are up. We are all seeing that at the moment.

@cinder ridge Theres no way to refer right now. I tried to do two yesterday. I just caved and told them to sign up anyway without referring and i said i'd take the hit, but i did read somewhere you can submit a ticket. (that being said you should know CS is super slammed right now and tickets for account issues are fairly slow response times).
@minor lance Not at the moment, you can download the launcher (where you got to) but not the game. Hopefully you will be able to pre download the game a bit before server launch tomorrow . (FYI though- its not as big of a file as you'd think- it goes fairly fast with even a 20mbps down connection).

@somber obsidian sounds like multiple attempts to open the patcher, if you restart, it'll clear the processes. then just open the launcher once under admin.

@tight gale It seems you are still unable to add a referer when you create a new account. I want very much to get my friends playing in Apoc as soon as possible, but It feels wasteful knowing that if they joined later they could have been my referals. The only reason they might engage with ashes currently is also because I am making them aware of what Ashes is currently and aiming to be, and the referal program makes doing that feel rewarding. Is there any information in the company regarding when making NEW referals will be possible?

OK.. I heard about AOC way back when it was on KS and I kinda forgot about it until now.. Just built a beastly PC and have wanted to join a GOOD mmo that hadnt been around for awhile. ..needless to say I made my way back here.
My biggest question is I am seeing a "bundle pack" online for $75 that includes game time and bonus cosmetic items.
(keep hitting enter..) are they already selling cosmetics for this game before its even done? sounds like an H1Z1 scenario and it scares me.. will these items ONLY be available if you buy these EXCEPTIONALLY expensive bundles? Will these items be available after official launch? Its also saying that in order to buy future cosmetics you have to have been a KS backer or buy one of these bundles. I am seriously confused..
The very scare sale page on their website makes it seem like they will have monthly cosmetic packs that you can purchase starting now.... during the early access...

Yes,these cosmetics are only available if you purchase the corresponding pack. The way I understand it, once you have purchased a, pack you will then be able to buy the cosmetics as add-ons relevant to your tier for any subsequent months after. This model is really no different than most of your crowdsourced games being produced now. Most of them have bundle packs like these that offer perks only to the people who purchase them.
And these pack are no where near expensive. If you want to see expensive take a look at the pack offered by Elyria or Crowfall.

I just uninstalled the entire thing and DL from scratch. It seems to be working fine now.

Ticket responses are likely longer than the test this weekend, I'd suggest doing this first: Step 1: Close game launcher
Step 2: Open your file explorer
Step 3: In the file explorer address bar, type %programfiles% then press enter and delete Intrepid Studios folder
Step 4: Next go to %appdata% and delete Intrepid Studios Launcher and intrepid-launcher folders
Step 5: Next go to %localappdata% and delete APOC folder
Step 6: Clean directory where you installed the game
After that, use the ccleaner to clean up stuff

Yes, the only way to test the mmo before that would be to win access to an A1 key (estimated for Q2) or to buy a package with A2 access (estimated Q3)

How can I disable the animated background? I want to play something else while the game downloads, but the launcher is using 10% my GPU ( a weak 560-D ), which is making my games run much worse than it already is.

@ebon olive Currently you cannot disable it. Your games are probably lagging due to the high CPU/DISK usage while the launcher pauses to verify the files. There's no solution besides sticking it out.

@late pasture Remember login info has changed from using email addresses to actual usernames (Your old forumn display name) - usernames should be entered all lowercase and should have gone out in an email on Dec 22, If your still having issues logging in you'll probably need to fill out a support ticket on the website ---- If your account didn't already contain purchases / you just want to have fun testing you could make a new account (using a different email address and username) while waiting on the support ticket

@tranquil shore Theoretically embers that you have should be either A. From your pack B. Earned by leveling the path or C. Purchasing them directly

There is a blanket blur effect, most commonly referred to as "Filmic AA" in other games, similar effect is used in CoD: Black Ops 4.
It blurs things excessively from a distance., but also on close range
Look at your character on the lobby screen, his face is completely blurred out

@scarlet moth hm 502 should be a website error and not a game error and should be mainly resolved (you might need to clear your browser cache), 500 errors with the patcher are about your patcher not being able to communicate with the server, which is probably a firewall/VPN error of some sort (when the servers are up)

So I put in a trouble ticket (again) IF i dump the game, reload and reboot? One intermediary patch work fine, then 114 patch and went back to error 500 at launch. We'll see. Thanks.

Nope I said when slashing essence river in combat. Instead of dashing with it normal distnace game teleport me away 3-4x further and I died from fall damage.

Try entering your username in full lowercase to see if you can get it to work

even though IS wants to, the servers are hosted on AWS and limited to what amazon delivers, and they can't deliver great tickrate.
You can do so much for the performance and feeling of combat, but no amount of performance tweaking is going to fix being hit by a lower latency player when you're behind cover or fix hit registration problems
Which is problems related to tickrate and especially amazon servers, this isnt great news for me, abit saddened =/
