I've probably paid more for this game than most of you in here ($1,000 backer) but I know what goes into building games and software and sometimes there's bugs on launch that you need to solve. Basicly beta is to test combat and is f2p with cash shop. The MMORPG can not be played for free and requires 15$ a month and also has a cash shop but you must repurchase anything you buy in the cash shop each month. Hope that helps

TBD weather you can buy cosmetics in the cash shop on the beta or not, but if you did spend money, chances are they will transfer over to life if you paid for them. Any earned from Beta test will be given to you on live, but are exclisivly earned from the beta only.

That's most likely why it took a while for them to come out with information.
