@sand ether 1. go to the folder it tells you about right click the .dll files -> Properties, and uncheck the 'Read Only' box near the bottom - do this for both of the files
or if 1 didn't work
2. Go to that folder. Delete the 2 .dll files and then hit repair
I have follow up advice if neither of those work

I have the Pioneer Package from Kickstarter, which grants Closed Beta access.
I have an account for the Ashes of Creation website.
I received Ashes of Creation - Apocalypse Testing Invitation email and followed the directions.
Step 1 is to click on the https://alpha1test.ashesofcreation.com/ link. When I register, it says my email address has already been used.
When I click "Forgot Username" it gives me my Ashes website one. While this account info works on the Ashes website, it does not work on the Alpha portal.
In essence, it won't let me register a new account, and it won't use my Ashes account, leaving me unable to participate.

Will there be a logout timer to prevent players from switching characters to quickly player kill someone without jeopardizing the other character’s loot?

Someone suggested on reddit that they will keep a second character logged near one farming for example. Swap characters to kill someone. Then swap back to the farming character.

Its somewhat viable but when you pk someone, you lose some stats, so you cant kill many ppl at once. So it will require a lot of work to do it

In there you can see the skins in the Legendary Path, and click then and equip them to see how they look.

That isnt confirmed, as well as the fact that you're using my.com, but you'll probably be able to make your account and download the game, but wont be able to play until you pay the subscription

Yes, there is no box cost, so there is also no plan to offer a "free month with purchase" that was the industry standard in the last decade or so. You will be able to download the client and once your subscription is active...play.

Personally Im glad they balanced things out. Tome spam in last circle was so tedious with the sound and screenshaking. If you got hit first with it you were pretty much dead

If I were in your shoes. Clean install

Step 1: Close game launcher
Step 2: Open your file explorer
Step 3: In the file explorer address bar, type %programfiles% then press enter and delete Intrepid Studios folder
Step 4: Next go to %appdata% and delete Intrepid Studios Launcher and intrepid-launcher folders
Step 5: Next go to %localappdata% and delete APOC folder
Step 6: Clean directory where you installed the game
Step 7: Download the new launcher and follow the automated download process

So , no instruction on how to play. No idea how to get anything done and when I got killed because I was trying to watch people to figure things out the game glitched and tagged me onto the guy that killed me instead of letting me sign out of the match.

Still very Alpha @sand ether we all had to learn as we go, but there are a few fan-made guides I’ve been told.

Clean install

Step 1: Close game launcher
Step 2: Open your file explorer
Step 3: In the file explorer address bar, type %programfiles% then press enter and delete Intrepid Studios folder
Step 4: Next go to %appdata% and delete Intrepid Studios Launcher and intrepid-launcher folders
Step 5: Next go to %localappdata% and delete APOC folder
Step 6: Clean directory where you installed the game
Step 7: Download the new launcher and follow the automated download process @crystal beacon

If you need to replace parts of easyanticheat, download this and place it in the easy anticheat folder generated by APOC, deleting the existing contents of that folder:

@ruby lintel red boxes mean your patcher isn't communicating properly with server - maybe it's windows defender, not running as admin, an outdated patcher, a VPN program, firewall, or antivirus

Steven's advice - If you are unable to login to the patcher, with valid credentials, delete the intrepid studios launcher and intrepid launcher folders in your %appdata% folder and run the installer again. - could help fix some red box situations depending on the underlying issue

@sturdy jackal Your beta account is your intrepid Ashes account. Not sure if you will need to setup anything. If there is an email it will probably go out on the 18th prior or on launch.
As to preload, can you elaborate?
