Since I was answering a question from a couple hours back I will go over it. My.com and Mail.ru offer a "free gift" if you register on their site. It doesn't say what it is. But here on this side they have confirmed it will be a cosmetic (necklace is the rumor). When Steven asked if we need to register on My.com to get the gift on our NA account, he answered that NA players don't have to and they would also get the same gift.

Good news is that if you have a package that has B1 MMO access in it you will be mostly likely getting an invite to test tomorrow. "We hope to have matches up tomorrow for most of the day, and we will be inviting Beta 1 users by email tomorrow morning to the Sunday test session"

Then there is your answer. If you dont have a package, you will wait till the 18th to participate in the open beta of Apoclypse, which is a separate and standalone testing apart from the mmo testing that will be in full swing next year.
Those that have Intrepid packages with B1 or above access to the mmo will be invited tomorrow to help test before the 18th.
B2 access should be in a couple days.
And everyone on the 18th.
Regardless of package purchase or not.

Steven typed just a while ago that tomorrows testing they are inviting B1. If you do upgrade and dont receive an email tomorrow, definitely fire off a ticket because upgrading of packages sometimes takes a bit to filter onto the master lists.

Hmmm...the estimates I have seen are putting A2 more in the region of Q2, but then again, they are just that, estimates. But yes. A2 for the mmo will come after A1 mmo and has nothing to do with APOC.

They have mentioned that they are thinking of a separate server that would allow limited progression to try out the game, but would have no connection to the live servers. This way people would have no reason to create multiple throwaway bot accounts to spam and use as gold farm laundering mules. Never mentioned again beyond that one time, but if you are looking for something where you try out the game to level 20, then sub to keep progression, most likely will be disappointed. As soon as they allow free trails then the bot war truly begins.

There was a separate account login website we had to use to test the account registering process in game.
Just registering on the ashes website was not the same thing. You got there via an email sent out by intrepid

Question: is there the possibility to change the 2nd Class Archetype, or once it's chosen, there is no way you can change that? In case you can change it, is it like something you can change whenever you want for free (or close to it), or is the change something pretty expensive, making it like you're not suppose to change 2nd Archetype often?

You can change it, but it will be time consuming to do so, hence you cannot do it "on the fly"

You would be able to play the APOC as soon as later today once the purchase is registered and you are on the master list. The MMO B1 testing is estimated for Q4 2019
With no package you will be able to play APOC on Dec 18th.
Realize that servers up time is spotty atm. It is NOT a 24/7 availability atm.

Well, interesting is I have followed the instruction, but when I closed my launcher what was on 77% and open it again it was 2,6% and go downloading.
The probelm is my repair buttons on launcher and instaler don't work. and I have a pretty shitty dowaloding, and it gonna get me about 13 hours dowloading. What I am doing wrong ?

Completed all of the new instructions. I am still not able to create an account, says "email address not available", I am using the email address where all Intrepid emails are being sent. I purchased a Founders Pack last summer and have never been able to test. oh well.

actually ranks might be the wrong thing to describe it, the spells had individually assigned points that upgraded their effects, but there wasn't downranking as I recall

Update: For those individuals who have recently upgraded to Alpha 1 Backer status and are seeking Alpha permissions, support tickets will not need to be placed for that access to be established. Alerting is set up on Intrepid's side to add new users after the upgrade has been processed.

APOC is a combination of 3 game modes used to test the action side of combat of the MMO ashes of Creation, that being said the game modes include BR Castle Siege and Horde mode @gleaming iron as well as many other testing features like server stability and so on.

@uneven wind Cleric is a healing class, if you take it as your primary, then you get to be a healer overall. If you choose is as secondary at any other class, youll get to heal only yourself.

Anyone talking about a launcher is likely an Alpha One backer who has access to the test going on right now.

With the way the servers are set up for games currently, if you are in queue for longer than 10 minutes, you are most likely bugged. Reset and try again. Keep an eye out for messages in server status for specific instructions because sometimes only certain options are being tested and turned on.

Umm...since the BR is pure PvP that might be difficult. But the screenshots are things like collect these 5 things, win X amount of matches, participate in X amount of matches. Now that may all change with the new levelling and exp system, but those were what were leaked last week. Some people win matches by just hiding better than others. Hope this answer helped. I guess the answer you are looking for is do you have to find a quest giver, deliver his letter to his girlfriend, and then return to him for your reward. If so, then no. The earliest you will see that type of questing is in A1 mmo testing next year.
And for the "open beta" from the 18th there will be EU and US regional servers confirmed. No other regions for Apocalypse testing have been confirmed as of right now.

the general rule of thumb is that any winged mount skin will be a gliding mount
and the skin can only be applied to such a mount

@tough elbow They havn't been released yet, about a gtx 960 (There's a report of a 950 running the alpha, but Jeffrey once said in an interview a 960 was their intended minimum), a cpu that won't bottleneck a 960, I personally recommend installing onto an SSD, The game has used as high as 8 gigs of ram earlier in testing but is currently down from that

@bright depot The packages for sale and the Apocalypse testing are two different things. You do NOT need to buy a package to participate in the "open beta" testing next week. And to answer the other part of you question, all mmo testing will be wiped. There is no advantage to testing or not that will carry over to the live servers at launch beyond cosmetics.

Since the game download is not finalized and is undergoing more builds you would just have to download it multiple times between then and now. Part of the testing involves compete uninstalls and reinstalls multiple times. We are hoping that they have those issues resolved that require full redownloads by then, but not guaranteed.

You will be able to directly trade with other people. You will NOT be able to mail items. It will be a face to face with an escrow window. They are not worried about it because they have background vendor programs that track those trades in real time and point out dodgy activity. In the case of alts there is a warehousing system planned that will allow you to transfer items to other characters on your account.

Thanks for the info guys. Also another weird question. I thought I might have heard something like this somewhere. Will there be some possible Legendary weapons/items in game? What I mean is weapons/items that have no duplicates and only one person can wield for certain events. Obviously these ones drop upon death so you have a blood path of people constantly searching for the wielder to get the weapon/item whether to hold or sell to market.

Legendary weapons/items in game have been confirmed. There is no drop mechanic for them beyond the extremely rare instance where someone who was carrying a legendary went on a griefing spree, racked up a corruption score high enough, and had it drop on death.

No one keeps the legendary mounts beyond the conditions that allow them to have them. If they did, in a few years you would have several people with them, negating the whole point. Timed egg drops die in 2-4 weeks, and everything else has its conditionals.
They can only be summoned from a Royal Stable. So if killed on the battlefield during a siege, they may indeed not be able to be resummoned for the duration of the siege. No confirmation, but you can bet it won't be instant/spammable breaking the intended effect/balance.

@valid shell of you have the money to buy thale in node building i don't see how that is fair. These things won't be given for free and we will probably need to do a quest to get a buying permit similar to how the freehold will be acquired minus the buyout.
Plus. Theoretically if you have a bigger contribution to a node like the idea you gave, you will theoretically have more money. If you don't, then you should rethink your strategy if you want to be able to buy stuff.

My question is kinda over these things. Lets say there are multiple people that have the money (100 players) and there are only 10 in-node housings up for sale... What determines who's going to get it? I just don't like that mentality other games have, waiting over the NPC and spam clicking - hoping you get it first

you dont have to live in the same node as big guilds 🤷

Gear Progression: we know there is no p2w element there which is amazing, is there gonna be any "RNG" element to the gear progression? (example1 : enchanting system - resulting on RNG if you will lose your item or simply a gold sink till you get lucky . example2: doing a dungeon or a craft again and again until you "RNG" that lucky drop/proc and get that "super rare" legendary resulting on a boring repetitive cycle )

Gear Balance: How much is gear going to affect the PvP scenarios? We have seen in so many MMOs gear making players literally beyond "broken" and totally unkillable from "average geared" players resulting in players "Raid Bosses". Will a BiS geared player going to be that "raid boss" or will the skill cap of a player play a big part as well giving you a chance to at least outplay someone better geared than you?
