@silent dew We know that the base to form is 5 people. There are member caps that can be reached and the guild has to "skill up" to unlock different guild perk trees. One of those trees can increase the member cap to 300 (number given for now). Guilds that go for cap, will be missing out on perks in other guild skill trees that may be more attractive.

Stage of completion? Little confused by that one. Cosmetics are unique to the pack level and month that they are in. If you didn't purchase them in the month that they were offered you missed out. There is no "I bought my pack so I get everything that came before." or I guess you could mean, when did they change last. Which was on 2nd of November and if they are back on track to the stated plan, should switch Dec 2nd to whatever next months is.

@primal trail They have already given a timeline for cosmetic implementation and testing. There will be limited cosmetic testing in A1 early next year to make sure that skin application and technical stuff like that works. First they need to activate account integration which is what they are working on currently. There will be further cosmetic implementation in A2. Getting the core systems for the game running is more important at the moment than showing you actual in game models of skins. You won't be able to use them all until release anyways, so there is no rush. Like many other things from the Kickstarter and since, it is a leap of faith that they will deliver on their promises. If that is a non-starter for you, no one is making you spend anything.

They didn't say that they don't look at other applications, but that they preferred local talent. Which makes sense, unpaid interns need a place to live in sunny SoCal, and San Diego ain't cheap.

My launcher keeps starting the DL over. I downloaded the full game over night and then got error code 3. So I closed out of everything and opened it again and it started downloading from the beginning again. I got to 27% and it then reset itself to 0% again. Anybody hear of this problem?

How much/little focus will there be on -roleplaying aspects- of the game. I understand that roleplayers are a minority amongst the whole gaming community, but I still think they hold a significant amount.
Has there ever been any mentions of acknowledging roleplaying mechanics in the game or is that perhaps not a focus in this point of development?
Im simply asking because there's been MMO's which are considered good, but lack nearly any RP mechanics. Gw2 for example.
Once Gw2 added SHARDING which merged all players together, roleplayers had no way of finding their own roleplaying shard and thus scattered.
A near perfect RP mmo would probably be FFXIV with housing, insane amount of emotes, looking at people you target, changing sitting positions etc.

Create a new account under a new e-mail address. Buy the pledge package there. Give said account + e-mail adress to the person you want to gift it
Done. (Make sure to put yourself in as referrer so that's put to good use as well)

Use whatever feels good in your hands, cause you will be holding it for hours at a time. I just use a standard Xbox one. UE4 has controller support built in. I was able to use it for movement and jumping in A0, and can use it the same for regular attacks, lunging, and movement in the BR. If I want to use a special ability on a weapon I still have to hit the key on the keyboard atm, but once they work out the kinks on keybinding should be able to bind those just fine. The mmo portion all comes down to how many active skills we have in the UI, and that debate has raged back and forth across forums and discord, since they haven't given a definitive answer yet.

Does Intrepid have any specific protocol for the inevitable server load that will occur with initial release? With almost any MMO I've played, the release day is pretty much a wash with available servers filling to the brim quickly and ensuing hot fixes. Sometimes effectively locking people out for days.

After each mode is implemented players will be given access in waves. Which means that it will begin with people who have A1 (based on hierarchy in there) and then go down to A2 and so on in terms of backers.

I have read that based on the size of guilds, they can focus on a different aspect. for example small guilds can give their members a buff to make them stronger or you can go a different route with no buffs and have a very large number of people in your guilds. Hi, I received an alpha account and it says download client (which I did) and says I'm supposedly able to downaod and install the game but not to play during off alpha test.
However once the launcher starts and i use the pro died credentials I only receive "you are not authorized to access the service"

I'd take myself the liberty to assume that they wouldn't have built an engine from scratch if that wasn't necessary to facilitate physics based combat in large scale pvp. So I'd say it's unlikely for ashes as their focus goes towards other things

Let's wait for the siege mode for now, as it will at least have basic classes implemented.

I think that a completely ridiculous combination will never be truely viable.
However, i think that you can create your preferred playstyle by choosing the right combination of classes + the right race augments + the right weapon + the right other augments.
You want to be a battlemage with club and shield? (Aka. Mage + Fighter/Tank) I can see that.
You want to be a Bard/Archer with a 2 handed club and cloth armor? I can't see that happening.
The class + secondary class + free weapon choice should allow you do a lot of things, as long as you don't go full retard on the concept

I currently cannot play the game without frequently stutters or spikes with an R9 280X, even at lowest settings. My average FPS is actually pretty consistent across all the settings but the spikes make it unplayable

@ionic eagle Kickstarter and backer rewards will be implemented when they have the base systems in place to support them. Right now they are working on an account integration for the website, think of your traditional thing where all your rewards and stuff are linked to your account. Once that is done all the bells and whistles like shiny forum badges and titles, name reservation, and anything else account related will be possible for them to roll out easily. At the moment it is not feasible or something that is a priority. You will get all your shinies before launch though, don't worry.

Always a hot topic - intrepids last stream showed a bit of the combination. I think everyone will have s will have skills of each type. It's been mentioned that you will be able to skill up to focus on one or the other. A bit of theory craft on hit boxes/crit rates etc but still unknown at this stage. I think the basic attack will probably be tab given the combo system will probably be reintroduced at some stage

We don't have many details yet, however apparently you will have to customize 75% of your skill and turn your build either action based or tab target based. Action based skills tend to get some extra effects like a fire arrow that draws a burning line behind it instead of just a aimed fire arrow.
That concern is the reason why they introduced Apocalypse, to test the combat, get data on it and create a balance.

The idea behind headshot in the MMORPG is that, if we do implement headshots - part of this testing is to determine if we will - but if we were to implement headshots it will be along the lines of a higher critical chance. So basically hitting a skillshot on the head will increase significantly the opportunity for that damage to be critical. Will they one-shot? Absolutely not. – Steven Sharif
Seems like that They intend to keep headshots as a replacement for the RNG factor critical strike chance (if it stays) - like he says, whether things like headshots stay will highly depend on the outcomes/data they get from the testing periodes

the fact that they plan on implementing tab target elements makes me really worried as it is really boring to tab in a combat unless there is a combo system as in BDO
