Why not make BR mode into a deathmatch mode (ala CSGO)? You get weapons preloaded and just go around and slaughter each other. Reset the map and kills every 30 minutes and go again instead. Although it would be a bit of a hassle to make the game joinable while it is going on.
Or more like Quake.. Weapons around the map respawn and people just murder one another.

I wouldn't worry this early on in testing, since Intrepid are likely more worried about testing core features and mechanics before they get to work on things like armor models :D

After this last testing phase, I did a clean install of OS to test compatibility with Ashes on the next testing period. Downloaded client again no problem, but install button is unclickable. Does this happen between tests? Will they have a new client for each one?

@empty girder games usually not installable between tests, but I think it would normally let you click install and give an error - There's a separate unable to click install problem affecting people on certain resolutions, you might be able to press tab until install is highlighted and then hit enter

What is the system requirements recommended and minimal for AOC?

@crystal beacon AoC doesn't have set minimum requirements yet - Here are some personally suggested minimums (These are mainly applicable to the current BR testing) - Windows 10, older versions may or may not work, with I think not being more common, a GTX 960, anecdotally some people with lower cards have been able to run the game but the 960 is what Jeffrey once said in an interview (Intrepid seems to be going with that not having been an official statement) - AoC seems to use about 8 gigs of RAM on it's own atm so between the RAM your GPU provides and available system memory will need that much - installing the game onto an SSD seems to help so something like 16 gigs (currently just for the BR) available on that

There are also non-combat pets, as original Kickstarters will be given a small kitten or puppy so there's most likely more beyond that

You will be able to tame almost everything with the exception of boss mobs. Taming larger/higher level mobs may be part of the artisan tree. Cosmetic pets can be acquired in game and give no bonuses. (no loot pets). There are also combat pets that can be acquired in game, and just like mounts and mules will have skins available from the store and in game to also change their appearance. Please realized that combat pets does not mean the WoW system of battle pets, but pets that will assist in combat.

Maybe someone her can answer this. I know certain regions of the game will have more prominent or specific types of dominant weather for their region, like longer winter's in the north. Has there been any mention of catastrophic weather events that would change the world for a short period of time? I was just curious because it would be really cool to see a region/world event where a hurricane floods an area or an unexpexted blizzard drops tons of snow and completely changes things like trade routes, monster, dungeons...etc.
I know there will be world events that change the world dynamics...I was just wondering if they would or could be weather related

Will bards be able to play music? Like street performances or something? If so, I really hope there's Midi Controller support and the ability to play multiple notes at once (aka chords). Games like GW2 and FFXIV allow it's players to play instruments but there are very limited options for complex song playing, it would be incredible if this could be further realized in AoC.

- Do we know if there will be one-handed viability as in without a shield or dual-wielding, without missing out on optimization due to extra stats or dmg from our offhand?
I always liked the spellsword gameplay with sword and spell but it seems we won't really have a "spell" in our off-hand, although it's possible we may be able to have sword and spellbook which would satisfy me enough 😃 But typically most games where you can just use one hand, it's way more optimal to have a shield or a second weapon or else you're missing out on more stats or dps. Any info is much appreciated, thanks!

If Scythes were added (At this point they dont seem to be a thing) its quite easy to implement given the versatility of the engine.

Raffles aren’t in effect atm the only raffle we know of is Alpha0 which has passed and Beta0( if it becomes a thing)

Will you be able to basic attack while on your mounts? I know you wont be able to use class abilities while mounted but what about your basic regular attack with bows/melee weapons.

yeah I saw the mounts would come with abilities "subject to change" but I don't think that the left mouse button attack should be removed as melee and archery while mounted is not out of the realm of possibilities.

So after the launcher finished patching, i hit launch to see if I could at least see a loading screen or character screen or something and it didnt work, so i reloaded the launcher and tried again and it launched the game, and I got to see the quick intro and hear the music, saw the character screen and got so excited. Shuffled through the armory to see if anything was available, nothing much was and so I messed around with video settings then got off and powered down my computer so I could get ready for work, but as my computer shut down I got an anti cheat window saying I did something. Question is, how boned am I? I know the servers were down but im an old wow player and I appreciated the old log in screens and thought ashes had something similar, did I violate a code? D:

After changing graphic settings nothing happens and everything still looks visually in the game like set to "ultra" no matter which settings I set... My PC (i5-4460 + GTX 960 4GB) generates only around 25fps ingame so it's completely unplayable for me... Is there any way for the change of settings to actually give some effect and increase the number of fps ingame or that thing is still unfinished and at the moment (with no NDA limitations) everyone is forced to play on ultra settings to see or show the world (on Twitch streams / YouTube videos etc.) how beautiful the Ashes of Creation looks like?

@cinder granite To be specific, the initial plan was for next weekend to have all players able to play the BR. But do keep in mind this is specifically meant to break things so they can go fix them. There is absolutely no requirement or promise of gameplay involved. Just us trying to break it as much as possible before launch.

They tend not to delete threads unless they break TOS, they do move them. The forums are buggy, and sometimes it will hold posts in a queue. If you keep hitting submit, you will occasionally get multiples.
