@late escarp Code 3 errors can be caused by a variety of issues, but seem to most often be a 'corrupt data' issue. Make sure your always running the AoC client as an administrator. Running old versions of the launcher / attempting to install with an old version of the client installed / installing with old App data can cause Code 3 errors. These might also occur if the launcher is interrupted partway through downloading or for some other reason.
Troubleshooting suggestions:

1. Completely close client and launcher, restart as admin and hope for best - If this doesn't work proceed to 2
2. Restart your computer / restart launcher / attempt to start client - This might trigger launcher into performing a successful repair, if this doesn't work proceed to 3
3. Perform a clean uninstall of both the client and the launcher, redownload the newest version of launcher, if at some point in setup it doesn't ask you for the location to install game into your uninstall probably wasn't 'clean' - Don't install into a root directory (install into a folder)
4. If that doesn't work you might have a non-corruption related issue

If your going from 100% to 0% with Code 3's probably best to jump to trying a clean install

(unless when it goes to 0% it acts like it's downloading very fast)

The cosmetics used during testing are for just that.....testing, and depending on people various packages will make an appearance in live or not. The download restarting at 65% is odd - is your hard drive filling? / Maybe your antivirus is kicking in at exactly that point

Code 3 errors can be caused by a variety of issues, but seem to most often be a 'corrupt data' issue. Make sure your always running the AoC client as an administrator. Running old versions of the launcher / attempting to install with an old version of the client installed / installing with old App data can cause Code 3 errors. These might also occur if the launcher is interrupted partway through downloading or for some other reason.
Troubleshooting suggestions:

1. Completely close client and launcher, restart as admin and hope for best - If this doesn't work proceed to 2
2. Restart your computer / restart launcher / attempt to start client - This might trigger launcher into performing a successful repair, if this doesn't work proceed to 3
3. Perform a clean uninstall of both the client and the launcher, redownload the newest version of launcher, if at some point in setup it doesn't ask you for the location to install game into your uninstall probably wasn't 'clean' - Don't install into a root directory (install into a folder)
4. If that doesn't work you might have a non-corruption related issue

"CLEAN" install
(1) Uninstall Intrepid studios launcher.
(2) Delete folders: COPY/PASTE for ease
%localappdata%/APOC <- for 0.0.4 or earlier
%localappdata%/Programs <- for 0.0.4 or earlier
%appdata%/intrepid-launcher <- for 0.0.5 and newer
%appdata%/Intrepid Studios Launcher <- for 0.0.5 and newer
These folders might be in both local and roaming app data
(3) Delete folder with Game Files. (the location you installed the game last time)
(4) Download and install client from the newest email.
(5) Use username and password supplied.

@warped thicket I'm going to give an answer that may or may not answer your question - If you buy a 75$ preorder in say june, and want to upgrade to say 250$ preorder - you pay the difference, you get the cosmetics of first month at tiers you already had and only gain the high tier cosmetics (not the low tier ones) of the new package

Code 3 has something to do with data corruption.
Running as Administrator usually fixes it. Somestimes also a clean re-install. Make sure your Antivirus is disable/exception, same for Firewall.

Even if you have put them on "safe" sometimes Intrepids emails get flagged and put other places. They do a big batch email and many programs think it is spam or phishing. Check everywhere, make sure you are looking at the email linked to your Ashes account. All the basic stuff. There was a guy a couple days ago pitching a fit that he "never got any emails beyond the first one!", they escalated, took the time to look his stuff up, and he had been sent multiple emails.
