PTR server is only available at certain times dictated by Intrepid. Those usually coincide with their business hours and only during specific testing wanted. You can download the current client, but you won't be able to log on until they "turn it on" tomorrow.

so people are getting banned for picking up bot loot and potentially buying bot loot off the market - what is the idea behind this from a dev perspective? most bots don't get banned, but the players do..

From what I understand, they're telling folks that killing bots is perfectly fine, but to not make a habit of looting them over and over as a source of "income". Their reasoning is that a lot of the bots are tied to RMT and/or duping, and by continually looting their stuff, your character could come up in their transaction logs enough time to be "suspicious" even if you're legit. So it's mostly a warming to not become guilty by association I guess, if that makes some sense.

That’s not true. I have a friend in my guild with a vod of turning in a herioc crate he found on the ground randomly. He is now banned and the fly hacker they found out about later on is still in game speed and fly hacking

The only time VM has been blocked in recent memory was when EAC pushed an update to Steam. For most the issue was resolved in around 8 hours. If you use a VM, then you are not guaranteed access here. If you don't and are getting that error, you have a bigger problem.

The point of testing is to get as much feedback and useful info as they can while they can actively balance or tweak things to see the impact. As this is about having as many players on at a specific time, it's more of a stress test and possibly see how server workers adjust to and cope with high population concentration areas.
If having more devs available to work and test things is more important than numbers once they have enough people, then that's the call they are going to make.
For other tests, having more people and more feedback might matter more so then they do maybe do a weekend long session so more people can try things out and they look at the feedback in total come the Monday.

Do you think it’s normal that some people intentionally place crates (for example near the forge) to force PvP mode in the city?
We come just to craft, accidentally activate the crate, get flagged for PvP, and then those people kill us and loot the materials from our inventory.

I find this behavior completely unfair and against the spirit of the game. It’s clearly taking advantage of honest players.

If you're in a guild, you can transfer items through the guild bank (assuming your other character has withdraw permissions). Otherwise, you'll have to find someone trustworthy to hold onto that gear/gold while you swap to your other character. Wasting time in a queue to go from 1265 or so to 900 or so and be kicked so it then says down to 206 when try to reenter but then kicked again just seems like poor planning. If you have 1000 spots then don't invite 10,000 people. You know you don't have the spots so invite 120% or so of what you have spots for and hope to end up approximately around 100%. Be respectful of your customer's time.

If you hit C > Artisan

You will see that there is a base Gathering Quality value, then each gathering skill is tabled underneath it. Similar to the adventurer base stats, the gathering skills also use those top base stats first and stack their own stat on top of it, giving you a total quality/spoils/speed etc.. value under their own separate table.

Adventurer stats work the same way, on the main character sheet > Base are the base stat values, they are then calculated in with the physical & magical stat calculations.

ngl, after the update rollback, my mining quality also is poo. When mining the desert sandstone, all sandstone seemed to be common, when I proc'd for zinc/copper it seemed to actually roll quality. Was very weird. My mining stats for reference:

They do, it's just not obvious to you. For a game in development just banning them doesn't do anything. They will just come back and keep on botting with the difference, that their accounts are no longer known to you. You need to come up with a permanent solution. So the only logical thing you can do is create such a solution and since you know what accounts are involved in botting, you can use those to gather the data you need.
