oh sorry.. it's milling. Missed that. So far all my professions were able to be leveled further after upgrading the certificate. Haven't had any issues with it yet except visually the lock being still there after getting the certificate.

So flax. You can grow it at a farming station (with seeds from the vendor and mulch you make) Its around, but hard to find and see. Small purple flowers. More in anvils/tropics but its harder for lower levels to get there.

Mounts/ You just have to go find huntables. They have a white cross hair over them. There are general locations. But you have to get lucky and really look often.

Flax is not really hard to find. There is plenty around. If you are only looking in the Riverlands, then yes you will not have alot of luck finding it because everyone will gather it there. You need to check outside the riverlands.

I think the estimated buyer price is taking into account the taxes that will be paid by the buyer. So It would show up as 7s on the listing, +10% tax when they actually purchase. Someone correct me if I'm wrong

Okay you are in the riverlands. Go north, go to the area that has the quest markers, and follow the quests there. At lvl 6 you will get good exp from farming mats, killing mobs, and from doing commission quests. Those are from town boards (there is also one where your quest markers are) Towns are the big flags on the map. Might be a scary run so be brave!

Around lvl 7ish, you can go to the churh of the seven stars (due north of you, see the marker? hop in a group there if you can find one.

You can also process mats to get exp.

Lots of different ways. ESP when you are wee like that.

Its not dumb at all! The prices you see in the list are not really accurate after diminishing returns happen. The more crates that go, the less they are worth. It is misleading for sure. The spread is the same, but the actual amounts are lower due to people (and bots) farming crates.

There's no trading for real money in that, so no? Moving items/equipment between your own characters is perfectly fine. There's just not a simple tool in the game yet to do it without having a friend help, or joining a guild to use guild storage.

Trading items for nothing in exchange by itself won’t get you banned. Guilds do this daily. I’ve done it a hundred times giving or receiving mats from friends in the past.

If you however trade with a known RMT player, then it might get looked at with a microscope.

Rule of thumb, if you don’t RMT, you should be fine 🙂

citizenship being account wide is intended. Not sure about the reputation tho, but that's how it is right now. Could be temporary. The old system allowed for alts to have their own citizenship, but that got abused so the changed it.

Regular client doesn't regularly wipe and has consistent progression. The focus is still on testing and you should not be trying to treat this like a finished game. Report bugs with /bug, if you find bots or weird stuff that doesn't seem like a bug come to this channel and type !cs, hit enter, go to the support page, and make a report.

PTR is a currently-in-active-testing update which needs more testing and which they want to get in player hands in a less risky environment, which if things work out, will lead eventually to things being added to the regular client. Gear/boost vendors are frequent, as are wipes. Testing often has specific focuses.

I have been reporting the same players for several weeks due to clear and repeated use of speed hacks, yet no action appears to have been taken. These players are openly exploiting the game and providing visible evidence of cheating in real time.

At this moment, three members of a guild named “Ash Blessing” are actively speed hacking on the Pelune EU server. If an administrator were to log into this server, the issue would be immediately obvious without the need for extensive investigation.

This situation is extremely frustrating for legitimate players. When people pay for a game, they expect the developers and administrators to actively enforce the rules and maintain fair gameplay. Allowing cheaters to continue unchecked significantly damages the experience and discourages honest players from continuing to play.

I respectfully request that this issue be reviewed seriously and that appropriate action be taken to remove players who are exploiting the game. Consistent enforcement against cheating is essential to preserving the integrity and enjoyment of the game for the wider community.

I've only done one, but there's no spot on the ground that you have to "find" or interact with. Just walk around in the area that the map shows and spam use your excavation kit. The game is very grindy in its current state, there are a lack of quests at the moment which only bring you to level 6-7 and will have to level the rest by finding groups to farm mobs or gathering/crafting.

One thing I would say to you coming in as a new player is that it’s in a very buggy and unfinished state right now and many gameplay loops are not fleshed out/finished/ or even in the game yet so expect the unexpected but have fun with it we are all here for the ride.

Player markets are localised per settlement so each settlement has its own marketplace, but plans are for player stalls, which hasn’t been implanted yet.

PvP is a bit of a mess at the moment and quite the topic here, there is a corruption system, if you do die you receive XP debt and have a 25% chance to lose or destroy your MATS not items.

Everyone’s a “non-combatant” by default, if you attack another player you become a “combatant” (purple) and if you kill a “non-combatant “ you turn corrupted, when corrupted you do have the chance to lose items as well as mats.

There is so much that this game has planned and it has a huge scope but a lot of it still needs implemented.

I would check the ashes website for more information on what is yet to come.

Press L. That is your Destiny track. Complete the tasks in there. When they complete, they look like a little treasure chest. Click it. Once you complete an entire track, you can turn it in, and get some gear.

Complete the first two (and get to lvl 5 in the process). It will give you some glint you can sell, and gear you can use.

Class? Most classes have abilities they can cast while moving, there should be minimal skills that root you to the ground while charging

Guarding is mostly for tanks, dodging should only be a thing if you are trying to solo. Some classes solo better than others. If you do a lot of solo content, consider heavy armor. Try grouping with others, and have someone tank (unless you are a tank)

if you are soloing, the idea behind mage gamestyle is to kill the mob before it gets to you. Include skills that root/slow/stun in your rotation (google for mage guides, and check recommended solo skill rotation).
Use your blink when mob gets near to you.
Use heavy armor (mages in heavy armor is a thing, and very potent)
Practice with lower level mobs until you master your location
Upgrade your weapon quality to do more dmg.
Do not use "guard" as a mage.
I highly recommend you join a group to level, as a mage you are squishy by design (the trade off being you do high dmg)

so technicly the t4 settlement only has 2 vassals so it should also be the requirement to go to t4 to have 2 vassals. only then those vassals cant go to t3 since they cant get vassals

Out southwest of Halcyon on Shol for example a bot near the bridge will leave town and mine the basalt. We can predictably place a crate in front of the bot to have him auto flag and we kill him.
The bot revives and goes right back outside and gets back at it again and again.

They've mentioned numerous time's they observing, learning and investigating, to build a more robust system to auto detect and ban bots and make it harder for bots in general.

I get it's frustrating to see in game for now, but Alpha is the best time to let this play out.

If they go round manually banning bots, 1. it's not really cost affective. 2. the bots just start again on a new account. 3. They learn absolutely 0 from the bots, their behaviours and their mechanics etc.

Just report, be patient, and hopefully something is done in the near future. If not, and it's completely left as is, ofc the game will suffer, im sure they're well aware of this.

They also cant give too much details otherwise bots stay one step ahead, they wont make it public knowledge......

I agree with action on bots and rmt, but I’m also concerned about content in general right now, you’ll be able to get a lot of tests early but once people see it’s just crafting gear for end game right now, it’ll lose players and then no one’s testing, games been a blast but I’m kind of just stuck gathering and crafting and selling and not really doing combat or having a use for that same gear yet, as a player who doesn’t know what to expect from a test as long as this years in the making I’m not sure what to expect or when to expect it. If you think they don't know or realise this, i think you underestimate them... also you have to ask yourself, why would they just let the bots go rampant, kill the game, after spending a decade developing the game and investing millions. Banning bot accts does not do anything to help prevent them. They need to patch the actual tech that is allowing them to do the botting. Right now, there is a specific exploit in the code that is allowing 3rd party software to basically give bots GM powers. Until that is patched, nothing will be fixed or stopped.

Also, bots are like bees. You want to wait and watch, and find their boss. The bots are the worker bees. Their boss is hidden, or harder to find. Those are the accounts they want to find.

Why do mules or the amount that they hold need to be modified at all? I could see the argument for there to be an adjustment to the Briarmoor <> Aven's End crate farm, but the risk/reward for traveling long distances do fluctuate by supply/demand principals in most cases. I do agree that the crate value increase % from crossing borders should vary by the mode of travel foot/mount/mule/caravan

Just go try it and find out. Make sure you check and pickup the quests from the Adventure Board (all of them that state the word 'Najash' in the name will clear in this spot) and always make sure to pop a commission scroll of adventuring xp before turn-in.

Guys i have a bug wjere i cant craft JM scrolls of crafting. I have the recipie, its listed its lesrnt and even when i look at a new recipe in the AH it tells me i have learnt this. I go to Mira master scribe station, i see all my other journeyman scrolls i can make like gathering, but crafting isnt even listed as an option, why is that? A friend of mine had the same issue with an armor. He had the recie but it didn't appear in the JM crafting station. The issue was that, to craft that item (rosarium shoulders) he had to move to a Master craftstatoin (Halcyon or Kal Thorum).

bots are part of the ecosystem in any MMORPG... you can't completely remove them. You just need to keep them undercontrol xD

In some cases, bots/farmers can even be useful... imagine a server with not so many players, and 90% of players are already geared, and they don't waste time gathering... but the server still has demand of Epic/Legenday metals, basic white materials etc.

Those farmers are doing the job no one else wants to do, and keep the economy alive (happens in real life too lol).

Again, you gotta keep them under control still, or it will break the economy, instead of help to sustain it.

I'm not saying "yeah, just allow bots and do nothing about it". I'm just saying that in some cases, they can be helpful so the economy system doesn't get stuck, where no one gathers anything, but there's still demand for materials. They are the "providers".

I haven't, have just hit level 25. As the GM I spend a lot of time helping out members and a majority of that time is not out killing stuff. I don't do pugs too much, so have been focused on helping build a communicative core group

Bard 100% shortbow for finisher. I just got the ars book was using laurelstring shortbow on mage before. I have formed an opinion on what I like best yet

I have both bard and mage. So for 70% of the cases you are there to provide mana for the group. You either do that by Saga or melody. The finisher from melody is absolutely crazy with shortbow cause you fire so fast. Ideally if you go damage you want to melee

ngl I personally fail with the mana part, have not figured out the rotation to make saga do mana, I just belch fire like a dragon; I don't think it has clicked in my brain, the 'orbs' thing

3x blue orbs = mana saga

in groups you run mana song, if the resonance procs are enough to keep the group topped off, I usually use red orbs (chaos generally), but if the group needs more mana, you have to switch to blue orbs to boost your mana output by 30% and enable mana saga

3x blue gives mana saga. But for the finisher when you're on pensive you pretty much smash keyboard and auto attack

yeah but how do you get the 3x blue? is that a rotation issue on my end? which is totally expected at this point.. OH it's likely my build if Chaos gives the red orbs, I'm guessing I should do Wonder?

until you run out of resonance stacks yes, why is a shortbow better for spending stacks? just because you dump them a little faster, say dump all 10 stacks in ~2-3 seconds instead of ~3-4 with a book or something else?

If you manage your cooldowns you will never run out of resonance stacks. Also you can save a team swapping to healing if needed and you have more healing output than a cleric with shortbow finisher with full resonance

so say you have an ability rotation that makes 10 resonance stacks.. 2xjest/1-2xflourish/dances/hymn/anthem/serenade/orb of your choosing. you use all of those abilities back to back, make 10 stacks. now you have to dump them.. first 3 procs consume 3 stacks each, the lat proc consumes 1. if using shortbow you dump it all in 2-3 seconds, 3-5 seconds for a slower setup/weapon. you dump your stacks, but the mana proc is based on magic power, so shortbow (being lower magic power than say book or longbow) pushes out less mana for those 4 pensive procs than a book would, it takes you ~2 seconds longer to dump stacks, but you still do it all before cooldowns come back up, when you get 10 more stacks and repeat. how it shortbow better in that scenario? as far as I can tell, shortbow is just better at actually dumping the stacks, but since the amount of stacks you can generate is based on ability cooldowns, what makes shortbow better?

I will say the 1k+ magic speed on shortbow does let you actually use those 10 abilities a little faster, so you can use all 10 faster than you would use all 10 with a book, but you still have a limit of how many buttons you can press to generate stacks

also, on that note, book skills give you access to Perfect Timing, which can also reduce ability cooldown, granting more stacks over time comparable to the benefit you get from magic speed
