No, beyond an /unstuck command that kills you and has a cost in exp and materials. And that just teleports you to your last saved location, not between.

It was not implemented with a cost to stop pvp. It was done to stop people doing runs and then teleporting back to town with no risk. It is a temporary measure until they decide how they plan to handle it going forward. That is how the change was explained at the time.

Youll survive. At least until you hit the 50 different errors and the queue. Though I'll tell you now do not log out in towns. Do not so much at look at a busy town during peak hours. You will dc and the queue is based on server workers not the whole server.

To see what sw you are on (and to know what to avoid in peak hours) you click pgup. /Bug as much as you can even if you think is insignificant. Also if you end up under the map you can either wait it out, autorun and wait it out, unstuck and die losing mats and going into exp debt, or some have luck logging out and getting a free VPN if it happens too much

Yeah, as far as I understand it, there is a threshold which determines the rarity of the crafted product. The rarity of the materials used are added up, along with any quality on gear and boosts from consumables and town buffs. I think you can find calculators online

They haven't announced any wipes besides before the next large phases and before launch. Zero dates on those either. Their philosophy otherwise is wipe as little as possible but as much as necessary. So always have the mentality you can lose it in a wipe eventually. You'll save your sanity when a bug destroys it that way

Most of the times when I reach a settlement or a “town” like Aven’s End I see people teleporting, skills not working, I cannot use the benches, talk to NPCs and then I get teleported back to where I was prior or kicked from the server. It really looks like a widespread Easy Anti-Cheat / software conflict, not an isolated case.
Hopefully the devs acknowledge it soon, because troubleshooting on our side doesn’t fix it for everyone.

You check #alpha-two-news for server status issues. Code 30 errors are communication errors. Either from you or from Intrepid. 37 for example means the local server worker your character is on has shit the bed and will probably be back in 5 min or so.

Some of us suspect a post-patch server / routing / ISP-related issue (I’m on Orange, for example), but nothing is confirmed yet.
At this point, it really looks like a patch-side issue rather than something on the player’s end.

Just to consolidate the reports: since the last patch, multiple players are experiencing instant crashes or login failures (sometimes character- or zone-specific).
It’s affecting players across different ISPs (Orange, O2/Movistar confirmed so far), and not only users who had LagoFast.
Most standard troubleshooting (cache clear, file verify, reinstall, EAC repair) doesn’t resolve it.
Looks like a post-patch issue, possibly server / routing related.

PTR allows Intrepid to push builds for specific testing and data collection that they dont want to push to live servers. Often it also will have boost vendors for lvl 25, max level gear, and professions. It get wipes often, almost daily, which also would not be well received on live servers.

I discovered that I can use any weapon with any class.
So, I'm a mage with a two-handed sword and a bow in heavy armor.

For me, this is a serious question about class design.
Will there be any restrictions, such as preventing a character with a bow from using magic spells? Preventing a rogue from using a two-handed sword? Or is everything designed as intended?\

It didn't fix it for me, I actually had to do a file integrity scan on Steam and that fixed it.

It is by design that all weapon types have a physical and magical dmg version. Different weapons, have different skill trees. A short bow does faster pew pew, which triggers effects in the short bow skill tree, fast. A long bow, does similar things, but differently, and, slower. The same for a 2handed sword. Good for cleave dmg. A wand? good for ranged pew pew fast, and its finisher can be very powerful.

Armor is similar. Heavy = All Phy resist, Med = Phy and Magic resist, Light = all magic resist. Mix and match to what you like.

Stats matter. There are heavy pieces of gear that have good magical stats, which feels weird as a mage I know.

There are also bonuses to wearing 5/5 of an armor type, you can see them by hovering over your item, and locking the window so you can then hover over the underlined spells/info.

As a mage, you will be mostly ranged, so you will want a wand/bow/book. Books do some AOE dmg, wands are like lazers, and a bow can be fun. That will be your main use. The Melee weapon you use, will be mostly about the stats on it.

The game is good. I played ArcheAge for 10 years, and I liked Ashes, but the problem is that now I don't have 14 hours to play all day. We're in alpha testing, so why don't you create a server where everyone starts at level 25? That's all. Honestly, leveling up a character like this is boring and time-consuming to reset. Let me suffer leveling up when the game launches. Create an end game server to test the content and mass PvP level 25 and weapon and class balancing.

After monitoring my system and checking the Windows Event Viewer, I found a memory corruption error (0xc0000374) in ntdll.dll caused by a conflict between the two anti-cheats. The EA service seems to be 'locking' system libraries, preventing the AoC installer/service from launching.

Make sure to go to #read-me-first and follow those steps too to open up the rest of the Discord.
