It's more useful now since you don't need to go above jm on anything technically. When higher levels are needed it'll be less useful

This. Exactly how I want to go into Ashes while it’s still in heavy development. I know some people don’t like to stop and smell the flowers. Hello, I just purchased the game on steam, unfortunately - I am getting a AOCLauncher.exe EOC Error: 5 - I have tried deleting the Exe file, turning off AV and FW, reboot, uninstall/reinstall - all the standard bug fixing that i can think of.

Another example how badly Corruption works, it seems there are so many easy ways around it, it is just dumb. Of course some other dudes (even when they might not be with him) picked up crates of that guy, maybe I would help him more if I would pickup one for him and drop it, that trying fight that ahole... This is exactly case of classic "PvP" player, they do not want fair PvP, just easy griefing. I am pretty sure he would not attack lvl 25 just like that, but 11, yeah he was brave enough for that.

Also why is player Corrupted just after kill and not directly after attack? If you are solo outside, you can be simply killed by someone without being able do anything, if you fight back, you get PvP flagged and he can kill you without any setback, if you do not fight back, he will kill you and get Corruption, but how exactly that help to you when you are already dead lol?

The magic bows power still scales off of magic power. Longbows are always useful in PVP because of the extra 5 meter range they have. Wound comes from bows, which reduces an enemy's ability to heal. There's lots of reasons. But know you're not losing out on any damage by using bow over a wand. Just depends what you need when

The AOCClient.exe seems to be caused by 3rd party AVs that are not updated to not block AoC. Not the first time McAfee has caused havoc. The hackaround is to uninstall McAfee or whatever is causing it. Usually works for that specific error message.

You can upgrade your apprentice mining at the "supervisor" of that profession. Then you can equip an apprentice tool. Crude pickaxe is still novice. You will need to either level your weaponsmithing to make apprentice OR buy from market (they are cheap)

The combos aren't in yet. Only only only buy the ALPHA access if you do not mind buggy messes with minimum quest content that does not hold your hand and grinding mobs. This is a true developmental alpha and your characters could be bricked, your PC might hate it because it's not optimized, queues happen in towns because of how their servers are set up to work ( but you can get in if you don't log out in busy areas like towns without a queue), PVP does happen with some idiots griefing because the system isn't fully implemented, along with other issues. Though tbh most people still enjoy it as is

At the starting area is a repeatable quest that is good fo rleveling. But there is a bug right now where one of the guards occupys the spawn. It usually belongs to the guard group (3 guards), is there a trick to reset it to its position? Looks bugged

That looks alot like UE errors being caused by memory leak. What does task manager say when it crashes? I have 32g as well and for a while, back last phase, I would crash every 1 hour like clockwork. I had to:

• Roll back my driver.
• Fresh install it, not update, deleted and redo
• Cap frame rates IN the nvidia software to something low, like 60 or so. Even lower to start. I would try and run it, and wait, does it crash? no? good, increase it.

4. DirectX 12 / frame generation / ray tracing edge cases

Try a different upscaler mode (DLSS/FSR off → then try DLSS on, etc.)

5. Shader cache corruption or driver cache weirdness

Try:

Clear NVIDIA shader cache

Windows Settings → Storage → Temporary files (or use NVIDIA Control Panel options depending on driver)

Also delete the game’s shader/cache folders if they exist (often under AppData for UE games).

6. Windows GPU scheduling / MPO issues (can cause driver hangs)

Two common stability toggles:

Disable HAGS:
Settings → System → Display → Graphics → Default graphics settings → Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling OFF → reboot

Disable MPO (more niche, but helps some people with UE + NVIDIA). If you want, I can give the exact registry steps.

7. Power / transient spikes / cable seating (less common but real)

4080-class cards can spike hard.

Quick sanity checks:

Make sure the GPU power connector is fully seated (12VHPWR especially).

It has a limited time based on the game play available. You can burn through the level span in a month just casual playing, much faster if your hard core.
Outside of that, there is making more characters, or farming gold to be able to craft 1 item.
and the patching, only screwing with one time zone, shows real bright bulbs run it, as they should be able to patch UE on a different time than US so less people are affected.

hey all, i see we have melee and ranged if i dont want to use close range is the options to have just 1 weopon or both range

you have both, you also get the stats from both types of weapon . always equip melee + ranged even if you only use 1 type for the stats and the weapon skill points
