It's based on number of unique materials and not overall material count. It currently is more efficient to make hundreds of the least material dependent novice craft both because of resources and gold cost. It's kind of a shitty experience right now

I am kinda glad they've said they're going to revamp the whole artisan system because like... leatherworking and tailoring specifically are killing me. It's almost impossible to get enough leather materials, and then of course with tailoring, dumping all of my money into farming to turn things into flax is just prohibitively expensive.

There is no slider. Part of the reason the most efficient leveling is through the least resource intensive crafts. It's not a great system right now.

Any help guyss Every time I switch characters or log out, my action bars reset. When I log back in, I have to set up all my skills again.
This also broke sport fishing for me. The fishing skills don’t show up in the skill book, so even though I spent all my money on it, I can’t fish at all.

I wouldn’t say that. I do think their new player experience needs a bit of polish — the initial spawn is pretty well guided and liniear, but it can get a little unclear once you’re out of the starting area precisely where to focus your efforts. But mostly the game sets you up to “Do whatever you want!” pretty well, and the core premise of the game isn’t narratively driven like a lot of other modern MMORPGs (I personally prefer that b/c I thnk MMOs suck at storytelling, but that’s mostly a personal taste/style choice). But you can get right into killing and crafting and exploring pretty quickly. 🙂

Grinding stones have no use. Ashlar blocks starting at slate level get uses in weapon and armor molds, but they are rock specific and not the generic one

Since the latest update the game has been really laggy for me. Before the latest update the game ran really smooth. Now it lags a lot when I render terrain or go in to populated areas like cities.

What I've tried:
Turned on Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling and added this game to the list - This made it a little better but still not enough.
I made a clean uninstall of NVIDIA drivers with DDU and installed new drivers.
I've reinstalled the game completely.
Restarted the PC a couple times (Yes I did that).

What is weird? The game ran really smooth before the update. Now it lags a lot and it's barely playable.

My specs:
AMD Ryzen 5 5600x 6-Core
RTX 3060
Seagate BarraCuda 120 SSD
16GB RAM

Graphics settings in game: Default. Note: It was Default before the update when it was smooth. Now it's still Default settings and it lags.

It’s probably the game. Lots of times I’ve had to adjust things that worked prior to updates. They do update things behind the scenes. Tbh 16g is not a lot of ram for the game. It’s a hog. Can use 12 just on boot up.

You did all the things tho. The only recos I have is limit fps in the nvidia software. Also, not sure where you are but there have been big laggy rubbernbanding issues for people in the us east coast. Using vpn helped. (Not a game thing).

Annnd server workers can be very laggy at times depending on which one you are on. Press page up you can see what server worker you are on. The towns and popular POIs can be laggy on and off.

It really sucks as a new player to be riding around on a horse, wolf, or bear, and see a super highly detailed rabbit (way more detail put into it than in game mounts) run by that you can't even purchase. There is zero indication in game that its a skin, or a mount you can actually still get, which makes it worse.

I'm all for exclusive items, and enjoy limited time / flex items, but I like limited time items to be in game obtainable via in game currency / or tradeable skins rather than items released years ago via super obscure means (require kickstarter account + pre-order + having bought it during a 1 month limited time window in 2021), and the skins aren't even tradeable on the in game market, which is dumb.

The most current iteration of store mounts, I'm sorry, are just extremely lame compared to the previously released skins. A chair which makes extremely annoying sounds and has your character spread eagle and a generic looking frog mount.

Guilt storage has been buggy in the past. They disabled right clicking into it and you have to drag and drop. The fact that this happened when you were right clicky equipment is very sus.

Theer is … I forget what it’s called…a setting where the OS and GPU software will actively power down/spin down the GPU when it’s not being used for actual 3D rendering (Eg, when you alt-tab or have the game out of focus or minimized). You can turn that off, so that the GPu continues to stay fully powered/“hot” even if the game’s minimized. I’ve heard people talk about that feature having weird outcomes sometimes (eg, creating stuttering or other weird utilization behaviors when not expected). Mabye related?

Beware of Discord + New overlay. This is known to create bad performance on AMD hardware, for sure, but I’ve seen epople even on nVidia GPUs mention it. If utilization isn’t it, and you’ve tried other things, try straight-up closing Discord and seeing if you notice any improvement in overall game experience.

What do the devs think about macros in this game? I have it set up so when I press 1-6 or auto attack it also uses my F2 key. And my F2 is bound to target nearest enemy.

How do I place crates into my caravel?
I have tried dragging crates from the storage at the harbour to the crate slot, to crate storage (which prompts if I want to destroy them) from my inventory to the slot and storage, I have tried dropping a crate next to the boat and using the load cargo skill.

I have researched this on the discord and on reddit, and the answer is just drag from the harbour master so I must be missing something?

Exploit seems like the wrong word.... there used to be a lock out for this but there was a clear choice to remove it. I am having trouble linking my Steam account to my Ashes of Creation (Intrepid) account and cannot play the game.

I bought Ashes of Creation on Steam, but when I try to link the accounts it fails:

On the Ashes of Creation website in Account Settings → Account Connections, I only see the option to link Discord, not Steam.

When I try to link the Steam account via the launcher or from the in-game prompt on the left (“Link”), it shows a loading icon briefly but then nothing happens — no redirect, no error, nothing. This prevents linking entirely.

Damn... but even if its supposed to just kill the ship, the design is so so so bad 😐 essentially dying at the sea equals losing your ship regardless if someone is willing to kill it x) since you will not be able to reclaim it other than manually getting back to it. #1365494991509782558 Need to fix cooking. Having to buy every ingredient is ridiculous. I enjoy the farming, but when you have to spend all the coin on everything it makes cooking useless. The amount spent for 1 recipe for a buff is not worth it. Make farm animals like Pigs, Chickens and Cows able to be found in the wild so we can aggressive pet them to either get the corpse which we can convert to hide or meat and the living ones we can use for butter or milk. Buying 3 cows for part of a recipe is trash. Also, make wheat and fruit grow in the wild and can be harvest from the ground or picked from bushes and trees. This will make cooking better and not have to buy everything. Currently the only thing worth leveling in cooking is filet fish since fish are useless as well. Make mkre recipes and cheaper recipes with fish. Most things require butter and wheat of a sort. Make them farmable and not just buying everything.

Many with that specific error have had McAfee running. Uninstalling that helped. McAfee has caused issues before.

Mods can definitely escalate it to someone in charge. The red name Discord mods are volunteers and not Intrepid employees. The orange named community managers are on vacation till Monday. But their boss is around. Report it as an exploit in game with /bug as others said. If you are worried about it, DM your favorite mod you see active and ask if they think it is worth their time to escalate.

There are several that have gotten the game to run with Linux. Realize the only supported platform is Windows, so if you have issues, you are on your own. There have also been issues in the past where Linux users got caught up in a ban wave because their setups had disabled EAC either intentionally (the anti-kernal level cheat people) or unintentionally. Haven't seen much reee about it since that incident, so them going to Steam may have help fixed the unintentional ones.

Error 5 is a conflict error. It is usually from antivirus (Avast and McAfee main culprits) or a game that runs a different kernel level anticheat that conflicts with EAC. People have had positive results removing/turning off those.

Wonder if there people have similar expirience to mine when it comes to Herbalism, which unfortunatelly I decided to main. Invested in heroic The Twilight and Journayman sickle, good bags, hell even tried with green salad. Results? White and Green, full backpack of common and uncommon mats. On top of that rare, heroic herbs are very cheap on the market.
Meanwhile with by basic mining skill and Initiate pickaxe, before I finish "mine 20 quest" I have plenty of rare/heroic/epic mats (due to some reason this particular gathering gives you extra mats...).

3. You can master 3 professions, and you can take two of those to grand master level. all other professions apart from those will remain under those

see my previouse question, you will not see much improvement for the money invested, but to answer your question you need quality (for more rare mats). Currently it's wierd because The Twilight sickle has the quality you need. But it's only Apprentice type sickle. So you may also need a higher version Journeyman sickle to pick up highier tier herbs, This one however comes with ... gethering XP and... magic power. 😅

im sitting at 470 and ive seen increases in quality , just not the way you would think. ive been getting way more unc and rare now that i have more quality, the stats working just not how we think it should tho. i think to see more frequent epic / leggo drops gonna need like over 1200 quality

I think ur just getting lucky, i've been mining for days and i saw no difference over a long period of time, i was getting luckier at 0 gathering quality than 800 now

@idle siren @tight gale (I am putting feedback here since I cant get access to feedback channel) Add a feedback page in game or on the website. Also,Need to fix cooking. Having to buy every ingredient is ridiculous. I enjoy the farming, but when you have to spend all the coin on everything it makes cooking useless. The amount spent for 1 recipe for a buff is not worth it. Make farm animals like Pigs, Chickens and Cows able to be found in the wild so we can aggressive pet them to either get the corpse which we can convert to hide or meat and the living ones we can use for butter or milk. Buying 3 cows for part of a recipe is trash. Also, make wheat and fruit grow in the wild and can be harvest from the ground or picked from bushes and trees. This will make cooking better and not have to buy everything. Currently the only thing worth leveling in cooking is filet fish since fish are useless as well. Make mkre recipes and cheaper recipes with fish. Most things require butter and wheat of a sort. Make them farmable and not just buying everything.

Nope, I have done Read me first 4 times now. News, Language and from link I have connected multiple times to discord and logged on through the site. Still nothing. Was told by @shadow bluff to give it a couple days. I gave it a few days and still I dont have access to feedback or bugs. Bug i am okay, I will keep reporting from game, but feedback should be able to allow us access to them. My account states its linked to Discord.

RTX 3090 crashing system regardless of settings. I've reinstalled the game, updated drivers, directx, etc. Turned off all extra graphics settings, have frame rate as low as 25, all graphic settings low, and still crashes repeatedly every 30 min to hr.
