You can buy noob bags from equipment vendor in any town or in the crafting villages.

You can buy better ones once you upgrade your mining/lumbetjacking/ ect

I recommend going with 2 mining bags. They are the easiest and best to use at the start along with your default bag

If it does fail, there is a weird delay when closing the launcher and in steam. It hangs. Processes still running. If you error out make sure you check task manager and kill all aoc and steam processes.

Reinstall steam and aoc fully. Run verify files just for fun.

One more thing. DNS? Is it updated? Sometimes it’s that.

so emberspring or briarmoor farm i like to think of the half way homes (east and west of starting area in riverlands), they have all the professions there you can get the certs from to level up. However, your node eventually also get's these "shopkeepers" so to speak and you can buy from them, just zoom right into to the map to see what shops etc you have, if you don't have any in the node, go to one of them (assuming you're riverlands) otherwise im not too helpful

For your melee, any weapon with good intel/wisdom is ideal. Try to find one with healing power or crit healing. A 2H weapon is also easier, because you don't have to also worry about getting an offhand.

For ranged, if you want to AoE, use a book. You can burn or slow enemies with it. You can also find some good intellect wands or bows, but those are more single-target focused.

If you're looking in a settlement, you'll only find one if your mayor has built that building. Mayors are limited to how many buildings they can build, so it's more likely that any given building isn't in a settlement. The spot I marked on the map is the spot on every server you can go to promote fishing. It's very close to Miraleth

Yea, the first thing I did was clear my log then restarted my client. Came back and same issue so I took some other commissions while waiting for the reset timer, came back and still the same thing. I think I'll try just completing it since it's an easy quest and see if that works. I remember the requirements for it. If anything else ill just clear my log, go mob grind, then come back again once it resets again.

Credit is given to a combo of things. First tag generates a lot of who gets credit, but getting over 50% of the damage is also important. It's very possible to take kills from groups as solo even without the tag if the player's power difference is high enough

It's generally called a stat stick. Basically the stats you see on the weapon are always applied when equipped. You do not get the benefits of the weapon's skill tree unless actively using it

EAC 5 is usually a conflict with other security features. Make sure to turn off any antivirus (if you for some reason run McAfee remove it entirely) or if you have games with other anticheat, those may conflict too. Make sure to run the game as Admin through Steam. There are a bunch of possible solutions to fix that have been given for that particular error.

I have always struggled to like MMOs, I tried LOTRO but it had such a massive button bloat I couldnt continue, it was nightmarish. I don't know what you are specifically talking about keeping, but as a good rule, none of these iterations, especially for macro systems will be kept. Settlements are only partially done, there is much that will be added, like the other 3 elections types. @floral comet Realm servers are separate. The only possible cross realm interation mentioned may be for an arena mechanic waaaaayyyy down the line after launch.

Not to start a discussion, but will give a little more clarification to answer. The half size of the map, the current single election type, the limited settlement layouts instead of the variations planned, problems with content/vassalization/mob density and poi spread are all issues that they are working on currently. Since New World was basically Ashes with 10% of the systems, I can understand the feeling. Let them cook and see what happens. I realize this was a subjective answer, but it is the best I got.

In less than 48 hours, every single profession building in the Anvils was demolished with no way for players to stop it from malicious, exploiting players. Is there any way to get the materials I was processing back from the now demolished tables?

it wont because a major part of the game is transporting goods to other nodes, you cant even get grem skin in anvils for example but some recipes like crownbreaker require anvil essence and grem skin 😢

Having a global AH literally goes against everything the game is trying to achieve. Different regions give different materials / gear / craftables... You can play the market by transporting these items to different towns.

Its not verifying on the actual button, when u click install to install the game he verifies the files on that folder.

better gear for your level is crafted but by the time you find the recipe and the emblems for them you will be long past that and into Adept gear... and the same goes for Radient , so yeah you should just use what drops

I had the same one, also struggled and wasn’t able to complete many commissions because couldn’t find mob spawns or they didn’t count, i don’t think that one goes away. You can abandon it and do it later in case it’s bugged or something now.

I would like to report a serious storage-related issue that started after patch 0.18.6.

Problem description:
After installing patch 0.18.6, the game intermittently crashes to desktop during gameplay (usually while gathering or moving through the world). When this happens, my secondary NVMe drive temporarily disconnects from the system.

Symptoms observed:

The game closes to desktop without a game-specific error message

Windows Event Viewer logs storage errors related to
\Device\RaidPort (I/O timeout / controller reset)

The NVMe drive disappears briefly and then reconnects

This behavior did NOT occur before patch 0.18.6

The issue only happens while Ashes of Creation is running

Storage device affected:

WD Blue SN570 NVMe SSD (1 TB)

Firmware: 234110WD (latest)

Health: 99% (Normal)

Temperature under load: below 55°C

Drive is not close to full capacity

System details:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600

Motherboard: Gigabyte B550 Aorus Elite V2

GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3070

RAM: 16 GB

OS: Windows 11

NVMe drives are using the standard Microsoft NVMe driver (no RAID, no Intel RST/VMD)

Additional notes:

The SSD is fully functional outside the game

No BSOD occurs

BIOS always detects the drive correctly

Stress tests and other heavy games do not cause this issue

Multiple players are reporting similar storage-related problems after patch 0.18.6

This strongly suggests that patch 0.18.6 introduced a disk I/O pattern (heavy streaming, caching, or patching behavior) that can trigger NVMe I/O timeouts on certain systems.

I am happy to provide additional logs or system information if needed.
