Highly dependent on peoples play styles. As always, tank, healers and support (bard) are in high demand though.

Don't be afraid to tank. Tank's are 110% crucial to 90% of PVE content, as well as being really strong in 1v1's or small scale pvp.

Fighter is in a rough state for PVP, but is great in PVE. Bard and Mage both are good PVP and PVE.

Typically, Steam does not allow for pre download or perches for Early Access titles and AoC is included in that. It also helps there servers have more of a trickle in of players due to the different internet speeds

yes, you can play. All weapons do is have different stats and a passive skill tree, don't define your class

There is no weapon type to class locks. Any class can use any weapon. You equip weapons for a melee and ranged slot. That being said, one of those ends up being your primary for auto-attacks. I.E. Rangers will bow, rogues use their daggers, etc etc. Each weapon type has magic and physical state varients. For example: Magic 2h swords and longbows, and Physical 2h swords and longbows.

However, there is a synergy to it. Some classes benefit more from some weapons. I.E. Rangers stick to longbows usually, even though technically they could use a wand, its not ideal xD

Your weapon that's not the one you would primarily auto attack with, ends up being a stat stick.

@ruby swift reason I asked was due to rampant macro users in Aion 2 allowing for perfect key inputs to maximise damage. Many also use browser tools for it which apparently they say is not as easy to detect. But hopefully they have a ban hammer ready. Issue with many companies is they like the bot subscriptions etc. so they give minor bans of 30 days etc. which artificially inflates their stats which keep investors happy.

Novice, so you talk about proffesions like gathering, processing and crafting i guess. They are called Novice apprentice, Journeyman and it depends very much on which proffession we talk about. It's complicated so you need to experiment in game. The first questline helps you and intreduces you to crafting

It is not 100% PVP far from it, lots of social and PvE things to do. The game has a fairly unique corruption system, which, while it allows PvP in most areas (except towns) it punishes griefers heavily. 9 times out of 10 you can run around the open world and not be attacked by players. Tbh you should be more worried about crows.

So in around 5 hours once you can verify your link with Steam, you will be seen as having testing access here. Then your account should populate with those tags, allowing you to type in the A2 testing channels that require that. Until then you can just look. There are other similarly named channels that are public that anyone can type in. This was to prevent trolling by drive bys and people who have not touched the client putting feedback that was nonsensical. So short answer, you got to wait to type in A2.

Which is likely to be the most -inactive- server? Like where the PVE/RPers might go. Ideally I'd like to avoid megaguilds and pvp-centric folks. Not that there's anything wrong with them, but I'm not here to min/max a testing phase: I'm just out to casual.
