I know the PvP aspect in the ocean is going to be rough, plus diving to the bottom for fish. So you rock drowning, getting merked and robbed at the same time. Unless you use the pot for breathe. But then just have to catch it and then swim for it.. I am no pro fisher, but if we have to dive let's get rid of the poles and just go noodling.

depends on how deep the fish sinks. you can dismount your skoalshipper and pick up the fish and get back on your mount i guess or will it drop the fish again because u need a mule ?

they said u can do a max of 3 fish so one your back should be possible

The OTP is not emailed to you, you should have an authenticator that gives you a 6(?) digit code to enter.

So I am requesting the addition of a Polish Guilds recruitment section on the Discord. On what basis do you consider whether a given language should have its own section? From what I know, we have 4 Polish Guilds, of which Dark Star is a really big and recognizable Guild. I suspect that the closer to the Early Access there will be more of them, so it would be great to have a Polish section.

I am a bit confused at what you mean. If you currently have testing access, nothing changes for you and you don't have to pay anything. If you have Beta 1 or Beta 2 in a testing package, you get access from Dec 11th without having to pay anything. If you are a new user, you will be able to purchase the testing until "live launch" for $42.49 usd till Xmas, $49.99 after that. At "live launch" the month of sub that comes with that, or any other sub time you might have from other packages will then start counting down. That date has not been determined yet. So basically, it is B2P for testing, then swaps to the sub model at launch.

There is no "open beta" The current model is that this is still "alpha 2" but since Steam does not have alpha or beta designators it is called early access. Once the game progresses to a certain point that they feel comfortable, it will then leave alpha and be called Beta 1, and after that Beta 2, then a final wipe of all testing, and live launch. Steam will call it early access throughout that whole process. You don't have to pay anything more for all that beyond the $43. And the $43 comes with a month of sub at launch (unless they changed something on the FAQ page since I last looked).

there's still alot of things that aren't fixed, alot of things that are and also new bugs. with each update, there's either more or less bugs but overall the game gets better really quick. if you have an issue with bugs, I'd say wait some longer before you join in

The game is mainly focused on PvP, but they will have instances. These will be closed off dungeons to only your party. About 15-20% of the game can be done none PvP areas, the rest is PvP. This is what I read. Mainly you're PvP though. I think they will remain at 25 until they start flushing out the 2nd arch types then boost it up a little. Level 50 doesnt seem like its going to be a think until it hits full release (unless youre on the PTR) this is just my guess for the leveling system. As for the PvP and PvE instances they will have some, but I am not sure if they are active now. All my information are from other people or reading through the Wiki since I wont have the game until it hits steam

Sometimes the linking doesn’t work for people the first time and they need to unlink /relink. using incognito mode in a browser sometimes helps that issue.

Intrepid still is going to have the issue they have always had of overloaded server instances in the starting portal area and beginning "zones". That helps them get people in and move them along out of the area. You will most likely see multiple server messages from them begging people to not loiter in those areas the first couple days.

I'm really starting to not understand this anymore. Up to 10%, it slowly ramps up to just under 300 MB/s, then it suddenly drops to around 7.2 MB/s, which is the speed at which the rest of the download is completed. It's just completely contradictory. It's as if the launcher slows everything down massively. Loading web pages hardly works at all during this time.
In Steam, I can update three games, watch YouTube and download large amounts of data at the same time without any problems. It only happens with the AOC launcher. I haven't been able to run any tests on the PTR yet because the download never finishes in time.

After the main node had been established, are the vassal states somewhat ran by another person/guild? I know they can’t turn on the metropolis etc
I’m trying to plan ahead for a medium group of friends and we can’t decide if we want to merge into a larger established guild or if we’d be okay running a vassal state? It seems really cool to us to ally with a larger guild for a common goal? But is that how this system works?

Each node has its own mayors that control the nodes, even if they are vassal nodes. But overall its not easy to maintain mayorship with a small guild

I want to say p3 most mayors were voted in with like 200-300 votes, but the last one in the desert no one wanted was like 28 or some wildly low number. It all depends on the player count, too, and the citizenship bugs. Less votes if people cant swap citizenship for every vote.

You never know how long the server could run for. There will settlements with less interest from others. The world building and the political side of ashes is sick. You could take that 12 man you have and join an alliance or something and take over lets say the desert or jundark. The figure head of the alliance would want the mayorship of the highest settlement in the vassal system, but you could have your own piece in this hypothetical scenario.

Originally it was done to keep people from buying the sub cheaper in one area and then using it to access the more expensive area. Steam already handles this pretty well. So they may not need to do that partitioning anymore. Imagine there will be an update to that information eventually.

Fishing, raiding, crafting, gathering. The game is PVX. It has both elements of a sandbox and a themepark to it. They are just more focused on the base mechanics that are generally seen as more sandbox atm, cause that is easier to put out and needed before narrative content is thrown on top of all those base systems, eventually it will all balance out into what their vision is. So yes, right now, the systems you interact with may not be to your liking, but the great thing is that stuff changes here.

I want to make sure I didnt miss anything so I am asking here. I am new to the PTR but back when I was playing in alpha there semed to be more quests around the professions at the starting areas and it kinda guided you through making potions. Now I followed the main quest and noticed I have the tools on me from the get go. I now have green tools from the quest but am I kinda free to wander from here? Also, I keep hearing about using magic bows as a bard but all I am finding is ones that help physical. Is there a starter magic bow early on?

They can't. They have a huge monthly/yearly nut that is bleeding them out. The game will release sooner than most expect and they have been preparing people for this with statements over the last several months.

There are several changes to the FTUE that guide you when first in game with the new Destinies system. Those quests were probably deemed redundant and moved/removed. Intrepid has always had a problem with new players clogging the "starter areas" and causing backups. Those changes now get people spread out quicker, so less queue and wait on release.

Yes, they have spoken that there will be various options for something like tanking besides just playing Tank archetype. Will they ever be as good as someone who say selects Tank primary and Tank secondary? No, but there will be other options that can fill that role in a minor way. Evasion Rogue tanks has been mentioned. Summoner pets have just been revealed. Remains to be seen.

Yes, there are no server transfers, so join the same one, and go to the same starting area (currently two options) otherwise it will be some time before you meet up. (the run between them is deadly, especially for those new)

Embers have always been said to become available after "live launch", not before.

Any cosmetics awarded through promotions or bought on the store will be just like all the rest. Ones earned in game may not make it to live.

They have not given a final location of where that regions servers might be located. It has flip/flopped between Oz locations and Singapore in comments.
