I solved the problem, just have your friend log into the account on their device, then restart your device and it will work without any issues.

I'm curious regarding the recent showcase of summoner, I saw that the major playstyle showed off only has one summon active at a time, I'm curious if there are thoughts about any of the "subclasses" (combination archetypes) that will allow you to control more than one at once?
also speaking if which will each combination have unique abilities or will they just have a mixture of abilities from both classes?

I have been playing from Japan for years. No noticeable lag depending on the test. Usually it is stuff on their side. So while your performance may vary, it is doable by many from Asia.

As of rn your gear will have minimal impact, nodes have a static rarity defined and when you harvest them your gear rarity might make it proc higher, but the treshold are huge past rare

I might be wrong, but I think they have tried to replace the static rarity but it didn't work. I like the wiki as it provides the vision and fragments of what they have stated about certain subjects. Thanks for asking. I am still excited for the vision Steven has and I get the idea behind most of the game designs. But I guess for that vision to come to life the Alpha has to progress further and needs more time. I see myself as a game tester. So I signed up to report on subjective aspects of the game like class feel, quest design, game pacing, and maybe report on some bugs. But as AoC presents itself right now I would have to invest some serious time into progressing in an Alpha that I am simply not willing to invest. Just wanted to make sure I am using the system correctly. As this is the case I will come back to AoC at a later point in time when Intrepid has hopefully progressed their gathering and artisan system to a more enjoyable state.

Of course the Alpha has to progress. If it were already his vision executed it’d be a launch not an alpha xD but I understand your frustration. My suggestion is to consider using mats to run trade packs and buy what you need if you’re feeling frustrated. Also grinding steel bloom is a good way to get some foundational gear drops and other drops to sell to buy baseline gear for Carph grinding

"Fluid and fast paced" and New World is your example?

Ashes combat is fluid and fast paced, but I've always said NW combat is slow and sluggish. Animation locks on every attack, barely any abilities, etc.

If you're asking if it's tab or action combat, then it's mostly tab combat with an optional action camera mode, but that has nothing to do with the pace or fluidity

Yeah it has lock on and they took the combat from Witcher 3 so it feels like an action RPG I don’t use heavy weapons in it so I can’t speak for greatsword but at least for the spear my attacks are so fast and feel like they hit

Then I tried a few other MMORPGs and it just felt bad

But the map size of ashes of creation is what is enticing to me

you will see 3 categories in here: those who will over hype, those that just have a normal life, and the doomium gang. it's just personal expectations in the end, how you are as a human being. there are so few ppl that really test this game, most of us (yes, me included) are rather spending time in game in our interest. I was just watching a dude on the internet, how he played for 100hrs but not once did he show the intent of this phase: reporting bugs. just complaining that thing is boring, that doesn't work, that is that.. whatever, i did not think that aspect was fair, but, it is his opinion.
I wouldn't ask for validation in this aspect to be honest, it should be a decision you make, willing to lose the investment, meaning after the 90 days that you have for refund, on the 91th day you decide this game is dog shit and it's not for you after 2184 hrs of playing/testing/whatever.

Me personally, it was painful the first 2 mins after buying the game, my wallet was sad but that was about it, counted as lost money so that I can't get more disappointed than that 😄 . I really enjoy spending casually some time in the game, I report whatever i see/feel/think it might be a bug, join a party whenever I can spend more than 2 hrs online. so far, I am very happy with what I got for my money and i'm always happy looking back at phase 1 and see the progress

The Anvils is very tough to level for new players, not as developed as the Riverlands. The towns are probably not as built up. ect.

Hello guys. I have seen the new differences about the crafting which now players should craft gear and not expecting to drop from mosters or buy them from vendors. I have very rough time to craft even the most common item in the game. Im not familiar with other mmos such wow and I feel lost. I really do not think there is a more "in depth" video that that. the game is not yet at that point where ppl are investing that much time into content that might change in 1-2 months. but till someone can help you with that, you said you want to explore. Yes I believe there is none detailed video out there. For example the streamer shows step by step how crafting one specific item. He go to this kind npc, he do that, he go there etc. Specific locations, what he open, where he find the spefic pages for something etc. Videos are some kind compilation for all things which distract me and also are not cery detailed for my problem. They speak for elixir, for buffs, for general infos but not show step by step how craft something.

I guess I cant progress the game atm and I need to w8 which is sad. Also I find the crafting so hard core for niewbies like me who have no big experience from other mmos. The game looks gorgeous but the crafting bringas me a headache. I feel I need to take exams to get a doctorate

What it sounds like you might be missing when you are exploring is talking to NPCs. When you are out exploring next time and you find a new settlement (any kind) talk to every NPC there at least once. This is how you find vendors and quests in an RPG. It will be one of your foundation skills. I’ll give you a place to start so you can see what I mean in action: from Lionhold head west and you will find some NPCs on the map that have names like leatherworking vendor. NPCs that you want won’t always be named this, keep that in mind when exploring further 🥰

When it comes to learning crafting. Ashes takes an old school approach and won’t hold your hand. When you find a crafting station. Look at the info in the screen for the item you would like to craft. Find out what materials you need, how much it will cost and then think about where you will need to go to get these things and try there.

So I have been super interested in this game for a while, is it worth the money right now to buy it? I know it is in alpha still. I just wanted to get some opinions from people currently playing.

but if you really want some context

you will see 3 categories in here: those who will over hype, those that just have a normal life, and the doomium gang. it's just personal expectations in the end, how you are as a human being. there are so few ppl that really test this game, most of us (yes, me included) are rather spending time in game in our interest. I was just watching a dude on the internet, how he played for 100hrs but not once did he show the intent of this phase: reporting bugs. just complaining that thing is boring, that doesn't work, that is that.. whatever, i did not think that aspect was fair, but, it is his opinion.
I wouldn't ask for validation in this aspect to be honest, it should be a decision you make, willing to lose the investment, meaning after the 90 days that you have for refund, on the 91th day you decide this game is dog shit and it's not for you after 2184 hrs of playing/testing/whatever.

Me personally, it was painful the first 2 mins after buying the game, my wallet was sad but that was about it, counted as lost money so that I can't get more disappointed than that 😄 . I really enjoy spending casually some time in the game, I report whatever i see/feel/think it might be a bug, join a party whenever I can spend more than 2 hrs online. so far, I am very happy with what I got for my money and i'm always happy looking back at phase 1 and see the progress

It checks when you put it in but keep in mind processing rarity doesn’t work like Crafting quality. It just gives a small chance to upgrade mats. And it scales inversely with rarity, so if you’re using epic mats, your odds of upgrading to legendary are very very very low. But with common mats it will upgrade plenty of them to uncommon.

1st: FIND and gather materials (no big deal)
2nd: i have to SPEND MONEY to process the materials, AND i have to BUY Items off a crafting vender that have NO OTHER VALUE just to process the materials.
3rd: If i dont have the silver/gold to do that i have to spend time gathering that

And in the end the result i get is a bow thats not even worth vendering for less silver than i payed to make the darn thing.

Well my feelings on the PTR are quite mixed to be fair. I understand the mentality however just like Flanker said. I personally dont believe the whole "it is a test", I believe that this is a product I pay to be a part of which is classified as a "video game" thus the game might be in a developer determined "testing phase", however it is a video game. So having an auxiliary testing environment, where there is already testing is redundant to say at the least. So no need to spend more time on that I think.

There should be an npc near the bench that will do it for you... for cooking (since thats all i can see where i am) its called a Cookhouse Executive chef, but they do more than cooking - fishing too etc. So look for an npc like that to get promoted
