Gear is hard to come by, but also doesn't do a whole lot at low lvls. Just gotta play safer. Fight things killable. Join groups. Bank/sell when you have a good amount of glint.

im still rocking white gear at level 7 cuz didnt know any better when picked light armor from safe fast sure, so now im stuck with mage's gear as a rogue. lvl 7 can barely kill a gryphon. A grind of 2-3 hours worth of 10 silver gone cuz apparently its 50/50 whether i can kill a gryphon or not. Join group isnt an option, whoever farms just rejects the party invite idk why, i guess they had a hard time and want everyone else to have the same

If you open the Node window, it will say paid there. The message is automatic and doesnt dissapair even if you have paid.

oh, thats a bigger issue. Make sure you have all the node tickets in your inventory.
The overview window also says doe soon, its a general massage not just for you, if you move to the 3rd ( I think ) It should say paid there.

Hello fellow travelers and devs. I ve been playing the game quite a lot (to my standards) so i can give some feedback and ask some questions. First of all i dont consider this a "game" yet. It is not. And i write this under that thought. So far what i ve seen and experienced is that the community is mostly helpful which is very encouraging. However, the devs seem to favor some players who do use the holes in the system. It happened with the gold farming and the items farming. So this has created an imbalance between the community. Secondly there s no propper information from their side with the patch notes which leads me to think that there are not transparent with us. For example when the bug came out with the crates having increased gold given,there was nothing in the patchnotes that they will change/fix that npc/side. But they did. So they either have different teams working and the teams dont talk with each other, or they are not telling us everything. I preffer the latter since the first is just toooo bad. Thirdly, i still doubt that the devs ever played the game they are creating with no help. Like i did. So they see the holes in the game. One of them being the no balance between crafting and acquiring gear. You can craft iniate gear that is useless after 2 hours of gaming. And then go to lvl 20 until you are able to gather the mats and the gold needed to lvl up to apprentice. Meanwhile you have the option of farming to the max and being able to loot the items. And if you are one of those who want to spend time in crafting, there s disappointment coming! Once you craft a longbow, you can trade it through all your chars and just use 1 bow. You wont have the need for a second one, but you will need to craft like 1000 to level up the proffession. So you just spend all your gold, effort and time for what? I havent heard addressing these issues.

Well unless I misunderstand basically whatever spell you use last your auto attacks will match and stack their dot on the target. Also prismatic beam will match that element. Sometimes I have a icey looking fireball that will stack the fire dot and the ice slow at the same time

On the Ashes of Creation website I am currently logged in and trying to create a support ticket for an issue.

I am logged in on the site, however, when I click support it brings me to another page, where I am not signed in. When I click sign in, nothing happens. There is no window or anything that pops for my information, nor does it use the stored information for logging into the Ashes site.

Furthermore, when I select the type of support ticket I want to create from the drop down, nothing happens. There is no input box, no further selection or other window that comes up.

Does anyone have a solution to this? These are the steps shown in the Ashes of Creation support request e-mail where they tell you to go through the steps I've stated above.

If you go north from lionhold there is a woman who will give you a quest to get 6 parcels. They are along the main roads. Sparkles purple things. Get them. Head to a town. Look for the guy in front of a tent. That turn in will give you 3 pieces of green gear.

You can also go chop trees and mine rocks and make a weapon or two. Takes some figuring out but will help pew pew.

You will also get more power just from a. Few levels. Grab commission quests from lionshold. The mailbox looking thing. Do some of those. Will help you level. Up.

Refer to the livestream from hours ago. They have actioned thousands of accounts according to their own statements. Just because something is an issue and may not be seen by you as having solutions worked on, does not mean it is being ignored. To save you time, it was towards the end.

Citizen reputation with the settlement. First, become a citizen. Then press N and look at the bottom left. You’ll see your reputation. Each rank you go up unlocks some benefits, like more storage and additional tiers of certificates.

Reputation is gained through mayoral commissions, buy orders, and (I think) construction crates. Buy orders are the fastest but make sure to turn them in one at a time for 250 rep per turn-in.

If that’s all too much work, you can buy commodity certificates from other players. Legendary ones are usually about 75s.

It’s a work in progress but the short version is that they set a blanket rule that if the craft uses novice materials it uses novice pricing and novice reagents. The LW bag is tanned grem skins, so it’s way cheaper, since those are novice.

Same reason it’s much cheaper to process dried ash boards (a JM craft using novice mats) than to process willow boards (an Apprentice craft using apprentice mats).

I’m not saying it’s designed well but there is a logic to it.

So I have a question.. Granted I know this is alpha and not complete game. But what I struggle with is the money aspect, and at times it feels like a survival game entering with only a stick. . the fact playing melee you need armor but in order to get armor you need money. And if you don't buy armor then you're crafting but it takes too much to craft I feel if you're a metal worker then work metal to make armor or leather for medium. Cloth for light. But, just gathering is not enough. I just recently spent almost 6 hours to just get 15 silver. there is something wrong with that. Everything is being worked on. The latest livestream they addressed economy balance concerns and explained why things may feel "off" to people. They will work on the FTUE also so that people realize that armor and other gear is available through certain questing and not just mob drops or crafting. Each upgrade path is required for a specific thing to be able to actually craft items.

Example: Smithy

I was thinking about how players currently press the F key to catch animals. Instead of making hunting seem funny, why not introduce a trap system? The player could place a trap near the animal they want to catch. The trap would take a short time to activate, around 30 seconds. Then, the player could put some bait in the trap and step back. The animal would approach, notice the food, eat it, and enter the trap—successfully being caught. The trap could work differently depending on the animal; for example, a rabbit could be lured into a small box with carrots, while a bear might go into a larger cage. No, not unless they also have access to A2. So your "friend" thinks it is cool. They take images from your call and spread them. Your watermark ends up causing you account problems. If you have a question about "should I be doing this while under NDA?" usually the answer is no.

Yes, each rarity level increases the sell price. I’m unsure of exactly how much, but I believe each tier multiplies it by about 30%. So if a white is 1g, a green is 1.3g, and a rare is 1.69g.

I have a very strange question for the community here. A few friends and I have been playing since phase 2.0 and all we’ve been doing is grinding steel bloom for gear. I’m thinking this isn’t the right thing to do. It’s probably better to craft your gear, is that the consensus?

Like I would assume that crafting level 10 gear all heroic would be stronger than the common gear that drops out a steel blue. Am I wrong?

A level 20 common/uncommon is likely as good or better than a level 10 heroic, especially with the set bonuses. But some of the Steelbloom gear is craftable, and not that hard to get in Heroic, especially the ring/neck/earrings. I’d start with those along with crafting level 26 weapons for everyone.

Best I can say is yes I am enjoying myself in my own way in game.

But it is a complete mess with unintelligible changes at times but such is early alpha. Though they won’t be able to use the alpha excuse once they start marketing to new players in a month or two.

Our unflagged group is pulling mobs to kill. I am a cleric, healing the group. A rogue attacked a player in the group, my heal spells healed the attacked player before realizing this.

I am now flagged for PVP, even though I didn't want to be.

Is there a way to prevent this?

yes, in pvp settings.

currently, if you heal a flagged player successfully, you also become flagged. this is to prevent issues that happened in the past with players healbotting combatants outside of combat and pvp events without risk. in a moment i will give you a screenshot of what settings you need to change to prevent this.

If your settings are already this, then there may be a bug or exploit going on and you should report it.

the definition is a bit iffy and mostly unenforceable when it comes to mob training. these are my opinions based on observations of stevens ramblings.

if its to force you out of that specific spot, so they or their group can take over and then leave you alone after, no. this is more or less acceptable conduct in the eyes of steven. as well as if you attempt to take that spot back and it continues there.

If they are unsuccessful in forcing you out and attempt it repeatedly...iffy, but possibly fine still

If they are successful in forcing you elsewhere within the poi and continue to train into you in that other spot as well, still iffy. but maybe worth sending in a report as this tickles into harassment/greifing. but could be argued fine if say a guild was attempting to take full control of the poi.

If you are forced out of the POI entirely and they continue to follow you and attempt further trains or the like, or follow you at the ember to continue running mobs into you then at this point yeah definitely greifing and report that player.

the line between intended player friction and conflict, and greifing, is about as grey and wide as what constitutes war crimes prior to the geneva convention

First off, PTR is visual NDA only. which means you can still talk about everything you see and experience, but screenshots or recording must be kept to PTR channels only.

Secondly, what Sir healz above just found out. PTR opens in a few hours but you wont be able to download PTR till just before it opens, or sometime after it opens. you choose the PTR environment via the drop down in the launcher here

Lastly, do note that PTR is downloading the entire 100+gb of the game again as its a separate build than live alpha. so be certain you have enough space to download it.

i just recently became a citizen of a town, was waiting to do it because i was afraid of the costs
it only cost 1x tax voucher to join, and the sherrif said that the next payment would also be 1x voucher

but then in the citizen panel, it said it would cost over 60x vouchers the next time around. and i could've sworn it said the next payments weren't due for another 2 weeks

today (only like 3 days after i joined), i got this mail about the next payment. the price has gone up to 73 vouchers

also the mail says payment isnt due for about 30 days (nice), but the citizen panel says its due in 8 days
