I am aware, but if death penalty is 4 times and he gets killed, he will drop whatever he had from that player anyway. And as far as i read, there is no timer you can wait out corruption, you have to be bounty hunted. So why go corrupted in the first place?

To take peoples stuff. If you kill someone to steal their stuff you're not planning on being killed and having the stuff taken back off you. Corruption is bad though, the idea is that there is no incentive to go corrupt - but people will be people, that won't stop them from wanting to be corrupt

Yeah unfortunately, we live in a world where people enjoy griefing and corruption, even with penalties. It provides a whole gameplay loop for bounty hunters though so many argue that griefing is a positive thing

Yes, if you log out or are server disconnected there is a bug where packs and such have zero trade value. /bug it in game, the more they get, the higher it will go on their prio list.

It's a pretty dangerous path up there with all the mobs near the roads. I've found the far east* side by the, or even swimming in it, is the easiest path down. For @hoary nova there is no fast travel in the game.

Another reason I think it might not be working 100% correctly is both the common and rare have the same stats in the character > artisan > crafting > carpentry profile. For whatever reason, right now the artisan tools and clothing are not showing the waterfall stats, please /but these. And your shirt isn't the same as common, it has a couple of points higher in each stat*

It's just that novice has such small points on it to begin with, the rarity doesn't change it much. For apprentice, the difference between common and rare is between 10-20 points higher instead of 2-5 like novice is

Unfortunately for now the only recipe a fire rune is used in is a chest piece. I believe they plan to change crafting to include things like runes to match their description. Regardless, it won't be like slotting a gem, it will be crafting an entirely new weapon to use that rune

Mats quantity is not the problem. The problem is you cant craft antthing by your own. You need to gather, process, craft and you need other People to do it. And theese People need professional requirements. And they need to be in a exact place and time. And you need to trust him. And Pay him. We need People can estabilish their own vendors ans processing or crafting station like npc's bur for a fee for Players Professions.

There are so much Progression barriers. We need more autonomy, even if we use Services from other players. They need tô be more easy to acess...

I'm a jewel crafter, and can make a lot of stuff myself but not everything. Currently no planned wipes for phase 3. But they have said they can if there is some issue that needs to be addressed.

With that, I believe there is a wipe into the beta, or hopefully you keep your character into the ptr conversion. But ptr gets wiped regularly now, so no clue that far into the future

Heyo so i've been playing a couple hours a day solo as a Cleric. I started in the Anvils since its new to me and I've been having fun.

But, I've spent a few hours a day the last few days in Vhalgadim trying to level it up from Encampment and I feel like I've made ZERO progress. I assume other people are leveling it as well because i see them around often, but the node is still only up 2% since last week. I have also contributed to finishing a few tables and now there are none left to add crates to.

Really feel like i've hit a wall in the game, can someone tell me if its a bug or something more that needs to happen?

Settlement xp is bugged and seems to be resetting. They are working on a fix.
If you are also talking about how much xp it takes to lvl a Settlement, the answer is a stupid amount that increases each lvl it goes up.
This is the approximate amount of time it should take to get to each lvl so Encampment to Village could take multiple days of a lot of people(100+ I think) to upgrade, if things are working correctly.

If you are around level 10 in most things go south. Don't take materials. Stick to swimming if you can. Riverland is where to be. Kor T and the Eastern city seem to be leveling at a snails pace. 🙁 The commission boards in the North are not running the same as the south and make it harder to level cites. I think a lot of population headed south as well

You could also just start a new archetype in the south.

Windows Sandbox is a Virtual environment that could help you determine further the issue

If the launcher runs in there, then you know it's a software PC issue and not something with your internet

You can't run games or anything in sandbox but it's good for troubleshooting/testing

Are you sure you can't craft the for other reasons? The unlearnable recipes are acutally one shot recipes and yuo need to be at the bench in the correct region. I haven't had an issue crafting besides just gathering the materials.

For initiate and adept yes they are there. However the Radiant default recipes are missing entirely at the Woodshop building in Joeva even though there is a default recipe for a Riverlands crafted bow.

All weapons have a physical and magic variant. As a cleric you want to have magic scaling weapons. Other then that, take your pick

Use what you want. Armour, heavy armour leads physical def only. Light is magic resist, medium is half and half.
Again, there are armour sets that can focus magic or physical no matter its weight. Pay attention to the stat passives they give and try to focus magic stuffs and healing if you can, but something is better than nothing at all

CLASS: Fighter, SKILL: Blood Fusion. I am under the impression that over 6 seconds whatever damage I do is given back to me as 100% health and 50% mana. Get to level 10, then you can equip some adept gear. An adept weapon is biggest increase in damage. For armour, you can either craft it yourself, buy from other people, or hope you get lucky with drops in highwayman hills for example

Hello everyone, I use two monitors while gaming and the game runs in full-screen mode. Whenever I press Alt+Tab to look something up, and then click on the game icon afterward, the game splits into two sections like this. To fix it, I go to settings, click on Display, then switch to Windowed mode to disable full-screen, and that resolves it. After that, I switch back to full-screen mode. Has anyone else encountered a problem like this, or does anyone know a permanent solution while staying in full-screen mode? I wasn’t sure where to report this issue, but I’d appreciate it if someone from the team could look into it.

Wolf, bear, Pallas cat are all equal. Horse is worst. Scorpion Broodling is best, but is only a 1% drop chance I believe when hunting them in the desert. They’re also typically not super easy/safe to hunt solo unless you’re higher lvl

Disable power increases the timers. So incaps and the like last longer. Disable accuracy adds to the likelihood of the attack actually hitting

Sounds like you're opening the launcher installer or something. You need to open 'install.bat' it opens a command line and installs without any input from you.

No, I had a level 1 corruption and lost it on death but it states you can earn exp or die to remove it. If you can't remove it from gaining exp pretty lame
I earned roughly 20% of a level and it didn't remove it before someone killed me

I've read this article already and it doesn't state how much experience is needed, just that it can. And gaining more than 20% of a level and it not being removed seems egregious

Corruption is currently over tuned because people are less concerned about risk to their character progression in testing they know will be wiped and often is suddenly. As they get closer to "launch" it will be adjusted towards its intended targets to work off that corruption as a possibility before getting caught out.

Right now there is also the "kill count" mechanic of blight. That increases the severity of corruption gained for every future interaction on that character too. There will be a mechanic in live to remove it through a longish questing system to reduce your count. That is currently permanent increase on your character.

"Going red" here is never going to be a pleasant experience. And is not intended to be. All stick, no carrot.

Ultimately I just disagree with how harsh the penalties are. Understand the Pvx aspect. killing 10 people is literally nothing but that gets you corruption. Why not base it off killing the same person over and over.

I am running a new build with a ryzen 7 9800x3d and an asus prime 5070ti. looking at the windows 11 event logs the only thing i can see around the time of shutdown is an easyanticheat warning: File System Filter 'EasyAntiCheat_EOSSys' (Version 10.0, ‎2025‎-‎07‎-‎28T06:13:02.000000000Z) does not support bypass IO.
Supported features: 0x4. followed by several hhtpservice events. Is this a common error that requires a work around? Is anyone familliar with this error?

i'll give it a go. can you explain what the error may have been? I have eac installed seperately on it's own and did not recieved any errors prior to the reboot. everything was running stable then my system just rebooted. it rebooted just fine with no issues and i was able to log back in and launch the game without any errors regarding EAC needing to be installed/repaired.

The EAC from the files is specific for AoC and I do not have really details on it that can share, this generally seems to solve most of the EAC errors. ❤️

Correct. Flagged vs flagged will offer only the standard death penalty to the looser and no penalty to the victor. Except a like 2 minute timer before you can turn off the flag

Want otherwise relatively safe PvP? Go to a lawless zone, join a war, run a caravan ect

Doesn’t require same or even similar lvl. Lvl 15 and lvl 25 can fight. If both are flagged, there are no corruption penalties.

Killing people doesn’t give you their gear, only materials. And you can’t bank while corrupt. You have to work off the corruption by gaining xp. If you kill someone that is corrupt, you have a chance at getting their equipped gear. If you die while corrupt, gear in your bags will never drop, only what you have equipped. When you become corrupt, you cannot equip or unequip gear to game the system.

There are several quests in Riverlands that give starter gear. Look for Safe, Secure, something something in Lionhold. That gives you three pieces, there are others. Most people get theirs from rare mobs drops, and the truly dedicated craft em currently. But you will have outlevelled starter 0-10 gear by the time you can craft any of it well. But you gotta grind that out to get to the higher tiers.

You will never be able to mail items in this game. It is intended by design. There is a warehousing system for alts planned, but it is currently not in game. It is an alpha, you are not going to be comfortable.

It's been many months since I last played, so I logged in recently to see how the game is now. To my surprise, it runs much more smoothly and with less lag. This might depend on the number of players online, but even the starting areas feel better, both in this respect and overall. The map is gorgeous, and there seem to be many more areas populated with mobs.
The grind feels about the same as it was for a solo player, which I don't mind as I enjoy a slow grind. The gameplay is still the best I've ever experienced in an MMO, and every class is a pleasure to play.
I hope the development team continues to improve performance, fix lag and bugs, and that the game will enter its final stage soon. This game should be released!

Probably not the answer your really looking for, but consider going up to 32 gigs of RAM if your motherboard supports it. It's decently cheap nowadays for how much it helps performance in a variety of things besides just AoC. You might be having a non-RAM issue and comp is just lying to you about it being the RAM and still consider the 32 ;p So, some alternatives, close absolutely everything besides AoC that can be closed on your computer (you'll need to get into task manager to hunt down sneaky background processes) to help free up some extra RAM. Consider running discord/youtube/whatever from a separate device.

Does anyone know what is causing periodic freezing for anywhere from one second to 3 seconds? And if it freezes any longer than that, you crashed the desktop with an error. I’ve noticed there are certain areas on the map that happens constantly. If you run over a certain area of believing this would be a server boundary.? is this something I can do to fix or is this a server issue? I have all the latest drivers. It’s just becoming unplayable because you freeze and lock up and a lot of times when you’re in combat you’re dead. I did not have any problems in 2.0 or 2.5.

Page up button to open some dev stats on your location. Pay attention to the server worker thing and if that note changes when you hit these issues.

If so, /bug to intrepid let them know the server workers seem laggy. More then that is up to intrepid to fix server and fend off DDoS ect

If this is happening when you arent crossing server worker borders then this issue is a performance or connection issue most likely on your side.

You have to turn in to any of the same named npcs just outside of any settlement, not the starting npc. They are usually in a tent outside the walls.

So those quests turn in to a specific type of npc that the world has several of, they're near-ish to nodes. I personally use the one at the end of the road approaching winstead from the southwest.

Yes, any future cosmetics are planned to not be "exclusive" or "one and done" Meaning that they may appear and disappear for sale, come back later, and so on. Any of the previous cosmetics that were marked exclusive (which is pretty much all of them) will never be available for sale again.

Can someone explain to me how I am supposed to make some serious coin in AoC? Selling gathered items to NPC seems wierd. Items heroic and above go into my marketplace. EVERY step in processing or crafting costs so much silver or gold that the final product never turns a profit. Running crates is only a small gain, as only one vassal settlement nearby has another citizen commodity trader. I haven't tried Caravans in P3, yet (anything new I have to take into account here?). Yea you might be able to make a little money with professions, but most apprentice gear is not worth the cost to craft right now, and it seems like 20+ journeyman gear will be not worth compared to gear from grinding PvE areas, the average player is in the teens now and adept/apprentice gear is flooding the market and worth maybe 25 to 50 silver on a good price

They messed up crafting really bad this wipe, it becomes irrelevant super fast and it's tedious to level at that

I kindly disagree. I know that things are subject to change. And I get it that we will see ups and downs and have to live through those. Better in Alpha than in Beta or even 1.0. But I have to agree with @sand dock , I think its an oversight that becomes obvious once you add up the simplest numbers for e.g. processing Snowdrop to Snowdrop Powder. I would get 1 silver for an unprocessed stack of Snowdrop. Processing it costs 5 silver for the crafting station and 6,6 silver for the Glowroot Grind, setting me back almost 12 silver. An NPC buys that processed stack for 1,4 silver.

I think if you pick a class that is not a Tank, you should be able to level comfortably. Not at a group pace, but definitely comfortably. As long as the expectation is slow is fine, then its still fun. I've mostly soloed and have been crafting and having fun. I've done the group exp grind, and its fast, and can be stressful, but its more exciting gameplay.

Old school grinders will love solo, because its a grind, which can be fun. The player intersection that wants to be fast, and intense, will not like solo grind. They will die much more often and lose a ton of exp and money.

I am sorry I read this. The casual player will have no shot at housing or farming and it appears to be all pvp areas. They cannot survive on pvp players alone. There has to be areas where pve/x players can go. Archeage could have been much better but there simply was not enough land and when you get to a certain point of rich you can start buying up everything. I guess we will see where this goes. I suppose if they keep server populations lower it might be ok.

This is not a live service game yet, so they will do updates when it is best for their company, and development. This is the way they have been doing updates over the last year or longer.
