Question about scepter (craft) :
For the "Brooksteel scepter" why does it require a lvl 20 (radiant) to equip ?
that doesn't make sense it looks like a lvl 1 scepter

For the "Mistwood scepter" it shows "require wilderness", as a result I don't see the craft in the station near lionhold (it's in joeva territory, and it's "wilderness" on map), so where can I craft this scepter please ?

This is what killed Throne and Liberty - a PvP focus at end game breeds toxic competition. The players who don’t want to be a part of that need something else because, as made evident by TnL, toxic PvP players don’t make up the majority they’re the minority. Choice is important, if they can cater to everyone then they’ll strike gold, but if it’s just a rush to get to endgame for PvP (like every other failed PvP focused mmo) then the future of this game will not be a good one in my opinion.

I was forced to play 20hrs a day to keep up. It took a lot of flipping on market, open world bosses, events, dungeons and instances... I was keeping up wiith the chapter release flow with top gear and we were foroced to fight in smaller numbers against x10 guild which were server hopping and taking over servers.

Couldn't enjoy content, just speedrun to keep up.

The best build is really the one that feels fun and works for you. At the moment, there isn’t an “official” or definitive build guide made by Intrepid Studios. Most of the builds you’ll find online are fan-made, created by players who experiment and share their ideas. If you’re curious, you can check some of those builds on community websites, just be careful, as they’re not official material. I’d recommend trying out different skills and combos until you discover the style that fits you best!

I was somewhat interested in the project back in 2016.
We have 2025 and the game isn't even in early access, which is worrying.
I recall some dev streams from 2019-2022 showing off newly added mounts. (not yey)
I went through the wiki a few times, including a month ago; and played the arena demo.

Is this game shady or does it have a chance to become a decentish MMORPG? If those 9 years were spent on hard-work on core concepts / politics / node development / engine improvements then maybe it will be fun; but many similar projects wasted money and time and end up having nothing but promises. If I recall right alpha is just a leveling zone to test quests / standard combat / leveling and doesn't have any more complex mechanics implemented. Does Ashes have potential?

in short yes this has potential and although it might sound shady, so far I personaly do not see anything wrong with the process it is taking. Usually for MMOS time range of their creation is around 10-13 years, given how big and ambitious this one is trying to be I would not be surprised if takes longer for release, even though they said few times they are hard at work so they dont take too much time....not really early access but already more than a year there is "open" alpha 2 which you can join if you pay. No it doesnt mean you should pay, what I mean is there are many many people streaming and many many vids on what the situation is on youtube. I suggest check the newest vids and check in with streamers who talk about the game.

May be something blocks the game from properly initializing. A couple of things your friend can try:

Check GPU drivers → Make sure they’re fully updated.

Run as Administrator → Right-click the launcher and game executable.

Verify files → If he’s using the Intrepid launcher, run a file check/repair.

Background apps → Disable overlays (Discord, GeForce Experience, etc.) since they can cause black screen issues.

DirectX / Visual C++ → Reinstall/update them, sometimes that fixes it.

Firewall/antivirus → Temporarily disable or add exceptions for the launcher and game.

If reinstalling on SSD fixed it once but now it doesn’t, it might point to either corrupted cache/config files or a driver issue. He can try deleting the game’s cache/config folders.

If none of that works, best bet is to send logs/screens to Intrepid’s support team so they can check deeper.

creative you get everything given to you, no thinking about what to farm first, not thinking "do i prioritise food or iron for protection."

survival you have to be cautious not to lose items, hardcore you have to be cautious about every block and mob so you dont lose everything.

Anyhow, its the details that make the game, when processing stuff for my gear in game, i have to prioritise which metal to cook up first, do i cook up the copper to craft quick set of rings to get more small bonus stats quicker, or focus on big gear and smelt zinc to get my chest plate

end of the day, the games playstyle isnt for everyone, personally i like the grind, i like the punishments that are there for your actions, i die because im stupid? i get xp debt. I kill a farmer cuz hes bugging me? i get corrupt

It's a timing thing. It only effects when the servers start up and everything is impacted. The more the population advances and spreads out the better the respawn rates will seem. It would be nice if it could adjust per population...

The rarity(Actually Quality) of a craft is determined by the Rarity of the materials used and the Quality Bonus of the crafter who does the craft, which comes from gear/food/potions/townbuffs/guild buffs

If you want good gear, use good mats

If you want to level, use shit mats

Play with all display settings (except DLSS). Move settings up and down. Sometimes Medium is actually worse for some reason. That fixes it for most people

Yes, it is like this now for testing. There is meant to be an "account closet" as it has been described in the past. You go in, pull something out for a character, want to use it on another character, take it off and put back into "closet" sort of thing. But for testing, they go with what is already made and easy to implement.

Don't worry about best or quickest. It is a test environment that is going to be around for a good long while. Take your time, enjoy the ride. You only get that "new car smell" once. After that it gets musty.

Yeah, not really an issue. Someone is always doing something. Just do your thing, if others are in the area and they are interested, they will send an invite. Just don't be a dick, like irl, and people will interact with you. You can also watch chat, most are just using global for everything and see if someone says "looking for someone around X level to do X thing"
