Right now Ashes of Creation is still using DLSS 3.7, which feels very outdated considering how fast NVIDIA is pushing forward with DLSS 4. As someone playing with an RTX 3080, it’s honestly frustrating not being able to benefit from the improvements that DLSS 4 brings in terms of image quality, frame pacing, and AI-driven frame generation.

Since AoC is aiming to be a next-gen MMORPG with longevity, are there any concrete plans to upgrade to DLSS 4 support before launch? Or will players be stuck with 3.7 for a while?

This feels like an important point for long-term optimization, especially for people who don’t plan to upgrade GPUs every 1–2 years.

Right now, no. It is not a priority. Literally everything they plan of a "minimum viable product" for launch will be tested in P3 and there is a vast amount of systems that have not even been introduced yet in a basic form.

Correct - they will offer both - but may bring down one or the other with specific instructions to help test dynamic gridding somewhere.

Really depends on what key you bought, the ones before the Phase keys will be getting a bunch of stuff (Cosmetics/ingame store currency/ingame time etc.) and the "wave" bundles that were released afterwards will get $15 ingame shop credits + 1month ingame time plus obviously access to whatever phase you paid for

Everything you'll receive should be listed on the AoC website either in your inventory or on the bundle you're after...other then that there hasn't been mention of anything else "exclusive" but as Steven always says - everything is subject to change

They have stated multiple times since they shut down the packages that had cosmetics attached to them that "exclusive" "one and done" cosmetics will not be a thing going forward. If it appears on the shop in the future, it can be sold at another time down the line. The exclusives are never going to be sold again. Now when evaluating things from KS/Summer you have to check if it was listed as exclusive. For example, the lifetime sub is never being offered again. But PI was not marked exclusive, and could be put up for sale again.

Intrepid has at various times awarded small cosmetic gifts based on their whim. For example A0 testers get a furniture knick knack for their housing of the "Windmill Boss" which was the loading splash screen that defeated so many trying to log in initially. They gave a similar item during Covid that everyone who had an account or created one during that time window will receive. So while it is possible, it generally is something they don't do often if ever.

No. It’s likely to gain in size a bit more before the end and the ptr is at least the same size. It’s also not healthy for a drive to have it used up so close to it’s capacity.

I'm trying to download the game via the launcher and it will not start the download. I put in my login information and it's stuck at the login screen... I don't even have the game downloaded. So the launcher is going to download an excessive amount of files, some of which you already have, those will require additional storage beyond the say 180g of final file size. Then after the download they're compiled, overwritten etc and it'll drop down to the final size of say 128g give or take, if you only install one of the servers. If you download phase 2 and ptr you'll be over 200g maybe 256 or more, I can't remember after I patched yesterday. You'll always need a buffer for the initial download

You can get around and do things solo sure, but alot of the content will be guild wars/guild/group things. Gear farmed from high level mobs you need groups for. Crafting isnt a solo person journey you need different crafts to make items. Ect. So yes, you CAN be a solo player, not 80% though.
