For me it’s the file operations part that takes forever, and it makes any other running programs on the drive laggy and awful to use while it’s doing it (though that’s probably more of a thing with my machine)

But I want to move the game onto a new drive where hopefully this won’t happen, but I can’t even uninstall it without having to patch it first? I’ve never had a launcher where the game version has to be current to uninstall it, seems like an oversight that should be corrected.

Honestly, as frustrating as it is, Steven DID go out of his way multiple times to warn us that alpha testing =/= playing a game, every crash & inconvenience we deal with is work towards protecting players at launch from suffering so that's a happier way to think about it

Also for what it's worth, these guys are working nonstop on Saturdays and Sundays which is pretty wild to imagine, idk probably worth cutting them a bit of slack

And there is just no way to truly fix it other than try to give more resources to the worker, but I'm not sure what are their limitations, truthfully speaking they probably can't fix it untill dynamic gridding is in and they can make workers be a smaller area

Just passing along the screenshot from the Intrepid site. If you receive 30 errors from inside the game, then that may be server worker number related. Outside it is a connections communication issue. Turn off VPN if you using one has worked for some, no external SSD, and a bunch of other issues people have reported cause enough of a communication dip that Intrepid doesn't like the connection on their end. Good luck.

There are 4 quests that give coins for fairly decent starter gear in the camp areas. You can only choose to do one side or the other. So if in Lionhold, dont go swapping to the other side, it will just break your questing. You should end up with 12-15 coins which gives you plenty for gear from that vendor.

Yes all weapons count. yes scepter and focus for melee to start. which usually results in the most spellpower. Depends on what you get dropped as well as you go.You want weapons with spell power and int ect. You dont want anything with physical power. It does nothing for you.

As for gear, you want gear with spell power, int, wisdom ect ect. Usually light gear, but again, depends

Do the "get 6 parcels quest" and you can get green chest, pants, and boots. Then fill the rest with Surplus gear.

so im doing the stony roads commison were you have to fine 20 basalt. But even tho im getting 5 per node its only counting 1 towards the quest. Is it supposd to say mine 20 nodes for the road or 20 basalt?

AOC is a PvX game, which means it has both PvP and PvE elements. PvP is fairly common, as one of our design pillars is 'risk vs reward'. That said, you can find ways to play that significiantly minimize your PvP interactions. If you play a lot, you will find that you can level fairly quickly with the right strategies, but XP is commonly earned by grinding mobs while we keep developing other systems. You will need gear to be competitive with other more hardcore players, but you'll have a good time earning it. FiLoving
