Loading Screen is cool gets ya hyped. Quick load into game. Visuals are really nice. Like the combat systems and visuals for my special bow shots. You’re probably not but try playing with the DSSL settings. I have found in some games it’s pixelating for whatever reason. Also it’s an unoptimised game so it might be something to live with until closer to release.

No. You can get 5 to Apprentice. 4 to Journeyman. 3 to Master. 2 to Grandmaster.

The 2 you have at Grandmaster will also be 2 of the 3 you have at Master. The 3 you have at Master will be 3 of the 4 you have at Journeyman, etc.

The queue should give you an options to spawn in a different server worker. if the current one you logged off in is full.

That’s actually the idea of dynamic gridding - once a server worker is full or under a lot of stress a separate server worker will appear to reduce the load.

That’s not in yet, though. As of now, server workers are static and cover the world in a grid layout. Everyone in the same area is under the same server worker - you can’t pick and chose bc its location based

Well if you're planning to upgrade to "Braver of Worlds", that would include Alpha Two access, KS backers afaik don't have the option to upgrade via the keys like evreyone else as they can upgrade their packs.

The "Founder" Pack would be the cheapest option KS backers have to get into A2

So the map is supposed to be a (total) of 1200 square kilometers. WOW (azeroth) is only 50-60 square miles, but traversing it takes significantly more time than even our currently accessible play area. There are a million ways to make a server more efficient so they can have more people without issues. They can't do this without pushing the limits to see what areas they need to address. It isn't a simple 1:1 conversion.

Restart the launcher if it hangs for any point for more than 15 minutes. Make sure you got all the things. Like installing on SSD instead of HDD (more common issue than you would think) and all that stuff. Various setups have experienced different results when installing. Realize the progress bar will "hang" as it unpacks various files, so it may appear to you to be not moving. But it won't hang for "hours."

This is also a game that has seen dramatic fall off a month or two into a wipe. So having too many players at the beginning is the only way to ensure it will still have enough players in 2 months to where it isn't dead.

Very tough question to answer... let's try to break it down into more bite able chunks.
Reducing ping.. tough one. What's your Internet speed? What country do you hail from? Wired/ethernet? Are you seeing reports of lag from other users?

Mobs.. Dying to mobs can be infuriating. What level are you? What level are you fighting? Im assuming you are ranger?

Bans.. I don't think has been any official statement of specific use of vpn means immediate ban conditions etc. If someone uses that vpn that you use and gets banned. You might get tied in. Some people use vpn to get around some error etc since the game is still got some kinks to work out.

Due to the mega server as many are calling it.. in the starting areas and regions will be alot of stressed server workers.. which is good at this stage for data and performance improving.
All I can say is.. its being worked on day in and out. More regions servers have been said to be discussed and later phases or betas to have more regions. Its just a matter of if you can ride out the bumps till an update or something on your side can help.

Around that level doing quests from the commission board in lionhold or Samias hope is good. There is a “get 6 parcels” quest that can give you 3 pieces of green gear.

One starts in LH, then sends you to 2nd Sword outpost. The other stats in Samias Hope, then on to Miraleth. Sometimes, tho, its not clear, you need to farm to get a rando drop to turn in. Highly recommend watching a video (they are short)

There will eventually be controller support. It is not a priority atm. But I have tested Ashes in all the phases since the beginning. Sometimes a controller works, sometimes it doesn't. Third party programs may run afoul of their detection software and is not recommended.

Cloudflare infinite human authentication loop resolved that comes after clicking Login. Seems it was an ISP issue of some sorts. If you are experiencing this then there is some sort of an IP problem it seems, I disconnected my modem for 15 minutes, unplugged it too and then replugged and restarted it and the PC. Mobs are just too grindy/ tedious! If they made it so they could be killed quicker it’d be better. Also the whole waiting to proc the first mob that spawns while 20 others do the same isn’t enjoyable. And yes I know partying up gets around that, but it should be whoever hits the mob and contributes to killing it should get credit, similarly to guild wars 2. I’m sure others feel the same, maybe someone brought that up in the forums 🙂

If you are talking about the server connect 30 series errors, then those have various voodoo fixes people seem to like. Make sure that you are not running a VPN, that your router is good, all that stuff. The 30 series means communication errors.

That is usually seen when not enough data is getting from your computer to their end. Most who play on external SSD drives or have installed to HDD after being told not to have that. But there are other reasons. Most are hardware on your end based. Good luck.

That is usually because the server worker where the character is located is broken or extremely busy. Usually have to wait for Intrepid to restart that server worker or a realm restart to occur. Or you might get lucky and it is just due to volume of people in that area and it clears up once it is less populated.

Focus on your ram and cpu if you want that, game is way more cpu intensive then I would expect. A decent GPU 4080 or more should work, but confirm with others. Some is expectant on FPS, and "smooth" is going to always be questionable on an alpha.

Eventually the idea is for there to be a mix of mob levels in a node. POIS and mobs spawns are affected by a nodes development, story arcs and other factors. But it is meant that any zone will have a mix so that you will even find low level mobs in a T6 metro node.

if you've got your autoattacks set to auto, remember that most spells you use can interrupt the combo chain so you should still pay attention to where along the autoattack combo chain you are. You alternatively can manually autoattack to make sure you keep track of where you are in the combo.

best practice would probably usually be weaving a full auto attack combo somewhere in your rotation while most abilities are on cooldown, some shorter cd abilities that are still high damage might be worth breaking a weapon combo, If you need to actively manage your mana it's probably more worth it to let more combos fully go through. Have fun exploring the optimization ;p

you can leave auto activation on and just not press anything for a bit to get a auto attack combo off when nothing else to press for example

Right, you need to pay attention to the auto attacks, I guess the equivalent in WoW would be something like every 4th-5th autoattack from a hunter hitting 5x as hard and triggering bonus effects if you didn't cast anything else from autoshots 1-5 while casting something resets it back to one

Yea first time playing for me as of 2 days ago, mobs make the game feel bad. And I’ve enjoyed fighting mobs in other games, bdo guild wars 2 archeage, each one made you enjoy killing mobs in some way, for some reason the difficulty of the mobs make it feel not the greatest.
