We will be lucky if it is 1 hour before scheduled launch. Last wipe (dec. 20th) they opened the servers 15 minutes early (which is complete bullshit imo), then closed them down and reset them and it took hours. They often don't meet their scheduled dates... I would expect them to be up at 8pm on thursday rather than 1pm est

Something small to add that I didn’t see anyone else say is that patching can often times take longer than a fresh download if it is a large patch or people haven’t patched in a couple weeks (which many people took a break and this is applicable to them) so the wave 3 key people being delayed more isn’t entirely accurate.

Also, make sure you have plenty of free storage space. I’ve heard people say recently that you may need 200gb of space. Previously it was 100gb for a fresh download.

If not designed for an incremental patch, yes, and generally for long breaks in between. But even in all these cases being described, the update could be done the day before.

It is always recommended not to do this for alpha testing as there can always be delays and major bugs. It is good to make sure the game is up and running and works on your computer first. I pray both are true for your sanity.

Hello DongLai! As of now, no, the old server version (used during earlier Alpha Two phases or internal testing) is not exactly the same as the one being used for the new phase (like the May 1st test or Fresh Start).

The server builds are frequently updated with: New features, Balance changes, Bug fixes, Network improvements

So while the core infrastructure might be similar, each new phase uses a more updated version based on the latest patches and feedback from the previous round of testing, If you're asking because you're trying to prep for May 1, expect some differences in balance, gear, combat feel, and performance compared to earlier tests.

It is a true alpha, it is not finished in any measure. While it feels like you are playing a "game" in some regards, alot of temp systems are in play, new things coming online, buggy weird stuff. If you arent into testing and reporting bugs and being patient about delays and new things added/breaking/testing more, then I would recommend waiting to join until Aug 4 when Alpha Phase 3 will start, or even wait longer for beta testing.

but you can have 2x 8 man parties in a raid group that are far from each other and not split exp

Cloud Services error usually clears after a little bit for people. You can try to log out of the launcher and back in. Also for some people, getting on/off a VPN can get them around this error

Yeah, it's a mini-browser that's used to log in. It was an installation option, but if it's missed I don't think you have to option to install again (from the launcher).

Could you please clarify — right now, a lot of the best level 20 gear for mages is unavailable, which creates an imbalance: physical power gear can be obtained, but magical power gear cannot.
Will you unlock the underwater room in Steel Bloom? (where we can get Bloom Warden set/ Rosethorn set)
Will the named mob in Gravepeak be brought back?(like Undertaker Zon / Tombstone / Cairn / The Corvid Lord)

This is really important, because without that gear, mages are extremely weak past level 20.

Common error with some apps. Saw it many times with EA till they fixed it.

You could try deleting the installer. Reboot (parade rest). Then reinstall the install app.

Referral Code Issue: I got my invite from a friend to join the new alpha phase. yesterday. Created the account with email and username, plus a password. the account was created just fine and at the bottom of the questions it asks (IE: country of origin, first and last name, etc...) it did ask for my given referral code. Doesn't really matter that I have 500/500 fiber optics going straight from my wall, if the server is located half way across the globe. EU been playing on US East coast servers since day one.
