Ya it can't really be solo farmed early on as it costs roughly 20 gold to hit 10 unless you wait for buffs and maximize everything.

Carpentry would be more useful if caravans were worth doing right now but they aren't because anyone who wants to do PVP is in gear that's good enough to blow out a caravan easily in small groups and there's not a ton to do so they're all super excited to kill caravans

simply said, if u want process 5x wood to lumber u DONT NEED to wear it the 5 minutes long as it takes to process ! but if u craft stuff and before click the button u need to wear it, at processing its enoung to gain the XP .. rarity , etc. if u just wear it before u click on the button to gain the prosessed lumber into ur inventory

in general u have in this game 4 possible benefits , XP gain, rarity gain, quantity gain and as last speed gain ...

all depending on which of em u want to focus on

nope, rarity and quantity aswell ...... for example if u process 10x legendary wood, its a very welcome benefit if u get out 11x (on quantity if the bonus procs) or, u process 10x epic wood u get out 9x epic lumber and 1x legendary lumber out (if the rarity bonus procs)

NOPE ! U need to wear a specific stuff to gain a possible bonus proc, of buff food. IF u wear , for example a quantity shirt and use a food buff for the same quantity it can happen that they both add together and u get even more or rarer materials out , but the tresholds for these bonuses to proc are relatively HIGH setted to have a real benefit on it, in other words u CANT count on em in real, only guaranteed bonus u get for the XP boost and speed, not for quantity and rarity

metalworking is processing that means the same as on wood, u need to wear em ONLY before u click on the receive items button. Same result u get for fragments , ingots etc. .....

Just wear it at the start, before you hit submit. You’ll get the xp and all other rewards regardless of what you wear at the end. Unless they changed something in the past few months.

My experience in alpha 2 wave 1 was that I did not get extra xp if I only wore the clothes when I picked up materials.

I needed to wear them at the start.

I processed so much in wave 2 that I did not bother to check again.

Then process a 250 batch with clothes at the start and take them out while naked, then try putting on the clothes

Depends what exactly you are looking for.
The leveling experience is much closer to L2 than to GW2; at least for now. Doing quests is, like in old L2, pointless.
The flagging system is also something you will be familiar; the colors are the same and work the same way.
Instead of Karma, there is Corruption, instead of PK points, there is Blight, but they work the same way

In addition to that, when you are corrupted, your combat-efficiency is significantly reduced and you are receiving increased XP debt.

Very roughly,
0* - 1* are considered solo mobs
2* are small group
3* are full group
4* are tough for a group, but still possible
5* are mostly raid-sized enemies
however, this depends on the organization and the equipment of the group; there were instances of people beating Firebrand (5* dragon, you can imagine Valakas) in a single group of 8 people. This was, however, before several nerfs were pushed thru.

From Asia. Servers come up Friday 1.30 AM, stayed up got in server played for 3minutes, servers went down for critical bug fixes. Ok go sleep, wake up 11ish AM, play for 30 minutes, servers go down because people found a bug and where printing currency all night. servers down for 11hours, will come up 1.30am again (saturday). Servers will go down on Tuesday 11.59AM. By default this choice turns 5 days test period into 4 days to anyone who playing from this side of the world and with these bugs it cuts it down to 3, rollback needed to happen i understand. Why are servers goin up and coming down with a 12H time difference?

With large things like a mmo with many interacting parts, this can take hours, and normally you never even know that it happened, cause companies don't show you that time. You can try that. Again, what I have seen (an I've seen a lot) is that you will most likely end up at the point of a complete uninstall of everything. When you first log in there are various starter weapons littered around the first area you zone into. Choose your playstyle (you can use any weapon, recommend a wand for your ranged) and move down the hill to further in the starting zone. Find the person that gives the "Sweat of your Brow" quest that will introduce you to crafting. From there explore and enjoy. Ashes humanoid mobs drop gear, "animals" drop other stuff. Enjoy.

Sounds like you turned corrupted. I would submit a bug report if you hadn't killed anyone. Might be a new exploit people have found how to trigger corruption without death in others, similar to other exploits they have had where people can cause others to flag without attacking back.

Could be you damaged someone earlier and they finally died and it credited you with the kill later.

when I kill a mob normally I get xp for the kill and xp for both my weapons ..I am now seeing in the chat log I am only getting xp for kill and my main hand weapon...is this a bug ?

Turning shadows down to medium (if set higher) will remove the fog and automatically adjusts the contrast so the world looks a lot better
