It's a known bug which will be fixed in a future update

It is normal for those channels to have a lock symbol next to their channel name, this doesn't necessarily mean that you're restricted to type in them

This error is generally caused when trying to create a character when you already have too many on the account. During Alpha Two the maximum number of characters on an account is 10. If you do not have 10 characters across all realms you can open a up a support ticket and we can investigate your situation.

You maybe can try designating the inventory bank bag as lumber. That will stack. Otherwise nope. Unless you level lumber jacking and get next level bag. They stack more with higher level bags.

hey i have a question, i bought an alpha 2 account about 1 week ago and started the game, i currently own a cleric at level 10. but i'm currently struggling with just being able to grind, since neither crafting is really possible nor are there any other ways to get good xp. So I'm not sure if I'm playing the game wrong or if it's just because it's still the alpha. Because it's quite monotonous to kill the same enemies for hours just to get 1-2 levels and I personally need the quest like WoW for example has that shows you the direction, and yes I know it's two different kinds of MMO's. Yes there will be more flushed out quest lines. They are not currently in the alpha. They will come later on. The game encourages grouping up. There are points of interest and dungeon type areas for groups. Solo grinding is super slow, and even at launch solo play will not be as efficient as grouping up.

Levelling is grindy and long by design, even in groups. There will not be fast levelling.

Right now at lvl 10 you can go to Highway Man Hills. That is north east of the starting area. Find a group and as a healer shouldn’t be too hard. As you level there will be other areas to go to for groups. But right now grinding mobs is the only way to level.

Ok, so looking at the Guild Progression, my guild has 5 members and in order to meet that goal of 4,548,952 points would take about as long as it took for this game to release. Each of us would have to collect 90k of those guild tokens (using simple math) for us to get to the first level for the guild. I’ve been playing the game for weeks now with constant lag and choppiness using a 3070 TI assuming that it’s something that everyone is experiencing but I just got finished watching some PVP videos and these people’s gameplay extremely smooth almost no chopping no lag and I just can’t understand what the hell is going on.

Does anyone know what the biggest factors in reducing lag in this game are?

I have like 32 gigs of RAM a very powerful I7 chip, my computer is formidable. Just sucks to see that it’s gonna be so much harder for me to win in PVP because I have to deal with the screen just freezing constantly when I’m trying to rotate my camera, etc..

So I am able to log in and get to character select. When I click Play on the character I want to play it starts to load and then just poof gone. For most people Error. Code:7 clears after a little bit of time. Logging all the way out, waiting for up to two minutes, and logging back in gets many people past this error.

If it continues, I'd be curious if it's an error for a specific character. Can you test logging into a different character and see if you get the same error?

- Disable VPN/Firewall Temporarily

- Run the Game as Administrator

- Try a Different Server (If Possible)
→ If the game allows it, switch servers to see if the issue persists.

If there is an answer somewhere I couldn't find it and want to say sorry in advance for asking a repeated question.

When I log into the game I get a message that says something along the time that my CPU and the game have issues and will cause random crashes. I am given a link but that link takes me to a page on how to fix this issue in fortnight and is NO help for AoC. It says to use DirectX11 which as far as I can tell is not an option for AoC.

My game does crash and when has it has locked my system and I had to do a hard reset of my pc (hold power button)

So my question is. How do I fix this?

The reason you get a link to the Fortnite page is because it was a universal issue for Intel 13+14 gen CPUs for Unreal Engine, and Epic Games, the makers of Fortnite, own UE. You can safely ignore the warning most the time though. The crash issue though a lot of people have experienced. It's not necessarily any issue with the CPU, just that the game is currently very unoptimised

You are correct about AoC being DX12 only. The issue is with intel CPUs. There is a partial fix if you update your motherboard bios (not saying it will help with AoC crashes).

Steven said in his last twitch livestream that they will also be a very rare boss drop. He also said you can sell the flying mount too so there will be other ways to obtain them. But still reserved for very few people

The boss egg flying mount drops are also time limited (a month max) and last we heard there'll only be about 10~ of those at a time

So it's not like a year or 2 into the game everyone will have acquired a flying mount egg as they'll die within a month

Being in Alpha means there's a very large quantity of bugs and features to get in the game each week. From the outside, 3 weeks seems long, but internally, there are an enormous number of fixes and other work for new content going out each week. Everyone at Intrepid is working very hard to get things in as quick as we can.

As far as flying mounts go, those are primarily intended for mayors of nodes. While there might be other ways to acquire these, they will be very rare. The vision has always been for journeying in game to be a more 'realistic', where it could take hours (or days) to travel between locations. It's meant to feel more like an old school adventure, and less like a world you can traverse quickly by teleporting and flying.

This is maybe a dumb question, but given the disruptive ability of a flying mount and how it trivializes map design, and the miniscule number of mayors that will exist, why even have flying mounts

Hey everyone, I think I know the answer to this but I'm going to ask anyways. I daily drive Linux. However, a cursory search shows that AoC doesn't play nice with proton/wine. I don't really want to mess around with workarounds that may not work. I'm thinking that the best option would be to set up a Windows VM. But before I do that, even though the game's in Alpha, are there any plans for a Linux build, better proton compatibility, or Steam partnership? Essentially, I'm just hoping to avoid maintaining a Windows VM for one game or having to tinker with something when I just want to play it lol. Thanks everyone!

I find with melee classes, you're going to want to use a bow to soften up your enemies before finishing them with your melee abilities. Doesn't feel good for the class fantasy but it is quite effective.
