@summer lynx I'm not talking about out-competing for mobs. I'm talking about a group 20+ yards away from where the group is pathing through with what they are pulling and specifically going out of the way at a sprint to kill the group so they get the XP.

So I've been running ranger with ranger weapons and haven't been noticing much benefits to the Archetype in comparison to those I've encountered running cleric with ranger weapons. Is there anything I'm missing to the archetype that makes it beneficial? I do believe the camouflage ability would be useful for ambushes, but it doesn't seem to do anything for NPC combatants.

Who thought it was a good idea to put 3 day expirations on all items you put up for sale in the Marketplace?

All that is going to do is move sales back into global with people spamming global to sell stuff. Itā€™s already happening. No one is going to waste money on putting items up for sale just for them to expire so quickly. Two weeks (14 GAME days NOT calendar days since there are two days/week of down time) is a reasonable expiration time. Three calendar days is utterly ridiculous.

hey everyone,
just wondering if this is the channel where I ask about issues?
I have a i7-10700KF // 32gb ram // 3060TI
and everyone time I try to enter lionhold my screen goes black and I get a "Connection to the realm timed out" error message pop up and take me back to the login screen.
The game runs fine prior to this, I can run around and kill goblins without issue / use abilities etc.

Fair warning, you should be able to just move the whole files, the launcher will prompt you for a new location/path and you can just change it to where you've moved it and the launcher will figure it out.

Right now a lot of questing and other ā€œsoloā€ or small group things are not in this alpha version. They will come later. Grouping is the most efficient way to level.

The game is being designed to focus on group play overall.

With that said there are lots of players who dork around solo (Iā€™ve done a lot). Itā€™s just slower.

Also keep in mind that this is testing. It is not a finished game.

Just logged in and played a few levels for the first time this phase, but the game is running worse than ever after PC upgrades.

Any ideas as to why I'm having extreme lighting fluctuations and stuttering issues all of a sudden on:

RTX 3070
32gb DDR5

Low/med/high seem to all have the same visual effect. Only noticable diff is the low seems less "sharp" and more blurry

Mobs in-game are also low-mid level. I can't think of a single MMO that has complex open-world mobs mid-way through the leveling process and I've played dozens

it was fine initially (maybe until level ~15), but dang after hitting cap and looking back, it never changed or got more engaging.

group just stands there semi-afk doing the same thing forever. tank is the only one that kind of has to push buttons differently.

Is there any plans to rework the size of ore? currently as a journeyman miner i can't even loot all the ore i mine because i get too full (with 3 JM Bags)

Then to process all the ore i need 3 storage tabs, not even including all the fragments / clay / mortar / dust i have to store after.

Not everything is placeholder Looking The combat isn't placeholder for example, the networking isn't, the assets (mostly) aren't, etc. it's just that none of the systems are done so it's early iterations of them

Specific parts are placeholder so you can properly test the other parts. It's scaffolding so the thing can stand and be tested without needing the build the entire structure only to find out that one chunk needs changed which will propagate out and cause an entire rebuild.

Once axe has been around a few days the willow price will crash in the exact same way being able to harvest t3 iron etc made lower rarity metal nodes more commonplace

Also there are some issues with willows grown in freeholds being common everytime instead of growing at random rarities. You can proc a +rarity increase but with no gear they come out common everytime (I hear)

Because each area right now almost feels 'zoned' for lvl grinding. If you can handle 6-10 and suddenly there's a lvl15, you're dead. Starred mobs promote cooperation and reward with more xp and loot.

Just some feedback on the Ranger.. I think the ā€œMarksā€ raven, tiger etc.. should just mark the target for its duration but lower the % effect.

What is also bit frustrating is once you select to Mark the target you are in auto combat . Hurting your opening move.

Best thing to remember is this is an alpha and that means a buggy mess with things disappearing, your characters getting bricked, unexpected downtime, and systems not being fully implemented so they seem to be broken. Is this does not bother you then go for it. If it does waiting never hurt.

Im a lvl 22 Tank and in found tanking Funny and challenging. Intrepid changed something with the last Patch. Now, i can only tank half of the mobs then before and die more often. Iā€˜m grinding BiS Gear right now for becoming more tanky and doing more dmg, cause soloing is more efficient for me and makes more fun. Really sad. @obsidian knoll

Before server was shut down i was trying to launch ashes on my wife's pc and i failed so miserably. 3 days i was strugling and can't find the issue. I reinstalled fresh win 11. Installed latest rtx video driver. Downloaded the game everything is ok. Logging to the game. Everything is ok. Since loading is done and character in game the screen freezes. Ok i reinstall game, reinstall drivers. Start launching still at beggining game freezes. Ok so i had reinstalled windows again checked if card is ok on benchmark, downloaded throne and liberty (Runing no problems). Then start Ashes same problem again. Ok i lover resolution to lovest same problem. Fix dll files, same problem. Im in dark alley and have no idea what else to do? pls help someone

No. Players only lose gear if they are corrupt, which means they killed a player in PvP outside of a PvP event where the killed player did not fight back.

Current design is that there are tiers of corruption that you get depending on how many targets you killed that didnā€™t fight back. At first tier of corruption, if you die then you drop 1 piece of gear. The amount of gear dropped increases with the higher tiers.

they said they dont plan on wiping, not that there wont be any wipes. and know that it is an alpha, and it is shakey and there are problems. everything is subject to change, and nothing is truly safe. including your inventory, or things like caravans. bugs can cause you some serious hurt and you have to be prepared for that if you're gonna play an alpha test hehe

This is interesting, but nothing takes space in that folder, there are no "crashes" folder btw, only "Saved"
If anyone will have the same problem in the future, and found this comment, just look up your %localappdata% folder, and delete everything that you dont use anymore, I found files like f*kin pubg holding 600+mb files and baldurs gate 3 save files over 7gb, not talking other random old files that are not on the computer anymore taking up ~10gb file, it should be enough.

The drops you are missing come from the sighted mob and the enthralled echo mobs. The great evil is referring to cursed ankhs etc, and the ancient items are called "ancient x". The drop rates are wild though. first time I did it it took me 6 full wipes of the church to complete, I just did it the other day in like 5 minutes...

Best way to get tons of copper and zinc is treasure maps. But for getting them through mining, mine all the granite and basalt, they have a chance to get you some of those when mining them. They also need cleared out so more copper and zinc and other higher materials can spawn

guys, a question regarding performance. just logged onto A2 for the first time today, the graphic settings were pre-set to all ultra, the game is running smooth, apart from frame freeze/stutters every so often which seems consistent. no setting change seem to fully help. the system is an i9-14900K, 32GB 6000mhz OC'd RAM with a GTX4090. bios and drivers are up-to-date. I totally and totally understand its an A2 and optimization isn't the focus here, but I just want to make sure there isn't anything left that I can try to make the gameplay smoother for the time being, and just wanna know if this is normal for everyone. anyone having similar problems or is there an optimized settings majority uses? anything helps.

Realistically you ignore that entirely and you just buy the scrolls from the vendor unless you have a guild funneling you mats because you also need Herbalism to gather materials for Magic Powder, Apprentice Metalworking to smith Tin, Apprentice Stonemasonry to cut Emeralds, and Apprentice Alchemy to make Green Ink

Log out away from it (out of render distance) for a 15 minutes. Go back to the caravan and you should have a recovery option. Recover it, and place it on land close by. That should do it.
