Their is a couple reason I can think why they doing the jumping, but in this games case when using jumping while having a bow out you end up moving faster while attacking vsus attacking and moving on the ground. Will the devs address this? maybe, I highly doubt they will as it only really affects certain aspects.

Now if there jumping without being in combat its probably cause dwarf and flips or they bored.

@eager tusk Keep me posted as able. Basically, you're going to enable the GPU and crash logging as I've mentioned, start the client, which will likely crash and generate the logs.

After that, go into the launcher, clear your game cache (same screen as the crash log options; the button below them), retry the client which might crash again. This is where I'd like to hear the result of whether it loaded or not.

Is your BIOS up to date? I had a similar thing happen in other games ways back and it turned out my BIOS was out of date.
When updating BIOS though (when it is out of date only, when it's up to date already leave it be), use caution and follow the steps to do it EXACTLY as you might brick your rig otherwise.

Updating your BIOS is not quite straightforward as other driver updates and the way to do it depend on your motherboard, so you have to find out what motherboard you're running to do it.

I would look for this in your Windows installation list (apps, updates, etc.) try to uninstall it, reboot, then retry the launcher

Two major things: 1) if AoC is not installed on an SSD, you're gonna get some serious chunky behavior, because even with an SSD and whatnot I still get load stutter quite a bit; 2) depends on various factors outside of the client, such as if your computer is also taking up resources for background tasks, other programs, below specs, and a whole list I can't really enumerate here.

As others are indicating, there is a backlog of tickets right now. They will process your refund when they get to it. It was filed within the 90 days then you are good. They look at the ticket creation date, and are fully refunding people regardless of playtime atm. You can look these statements up from mods if you like.

Zinc and copper are relatively rare. Basalt and granite do have a chance to give some if you mine them however. They also have a chance to respawn as zinc or copper once the node respawns.

A friend and I have seen people playing this game so bought into the Alpha. We just had an experience that we can't really get our head around. Essentially a max level player kited mobs to us (we are level 5) to kill us on purpose because we were killing a spider he wanted loot from. Is this normal practice in this game or is that griefing?

Hey just got the game last night been trying to play it all day from when the servers came back up and have gotten a total of maybe 5 mins of gameplay, I keep getting either no character listings found then crash, lost connection to realm then crash, or it just crashes about 5 seconds after i can see my character in world. I have a 2080ti and 17 9700f so im sure it's not my hardware, I have repaired. reinstalled, tried all the servers, rebooted my pc, ran cc cleaner, reinstalled my drivers, changed all the settings to low, and bumped my resolution down as well tried the different windowed/fullscreen modes. Sorry if this is the wrong room t ask this in but does anyone have anything else I can try I really want to try this game out

It's a way to avoid corruption, it's cowardice is what it is. It's party of the game to fight and contest resources, however the price of that is supposed to be corruption.

well for the first 2 it will pop up the message of either "no character listing found" or "lost connection to realm" kick me back to character select for about 1/2 a second then crash, as for the 3rd I'll see my character for at most 5 seconds then just game closes back to launcher

Not a Guru, but it may help to close the launcher once it launches the game. You should be able to exit the launcher once easy anti-cheat starts. I second the ticket.

Xp debt is the punishment for dying. Its xp you have to repay before you can progress again. You should see it as a red meter overtop you xp bar at the bottom.

No, best bet is to go caravan master and select the recover option. It will delete your loot, and probably unupgrade your caravan but you'll have it.

yes. that is absolutely reportable. it's especially good if you can take a screenshot of the people doing it to send into their official report link, sometimes my so and I take a short video with screen capture on windows if someone is harassing us with that behavior a lot.

Not really. Just don't log out while being attacked. Your character persists in the world for 15s after you log out, this is a measure to prevent combat logging.

It can also affect you if you log out in a place mobs can wander into. It’s certainly possible to be gibbed before you finish logging in if something nearby agros on ya.

TLDR find a safe spot to log out nearby and don’t grind mobs up until a server reset boots you offline

Zinc can be found anywhere, their is no specific spot for it. However if your mining granite or basalt their is a % chance of it drop zinc/copper each time.

Code 14 used to be for having a full set of 10 characters when there were only two servers available. So might have something to do with player counts, even though you are not near the limit. Maybe a server load verification thinking you have too many. I would logout, give it 5-10 min, and come back. Like most things customer service, sometimes turning if off then on does amazing things. Or it might not.

You would see the fuel go away for sure. Last I had read leaving a station during processing or even the server down then up will not lose you the mats. If you know for SURE that you lost materials and not a feeling then /bug it. Or do the same again and keep track of the amounts and if it happens again definitely bug it.

Yes, many systems for nodes are in a basic iteration state. The current market is just a temporary measure during testing to give people functionality to sell items to others and does not resemble planned systems for later. The same with many other things like all mayors having flying mounts at level 3 node, the voting all being scientific node based, freeholds just requiring level and gold and first to click on the well. Many things you will experience right not are not what they will eventually be. Read the wiki for further guidance as to what is meant to eventually be implemented.

There are many ways to sell items to others. As I said, do a deeper dive into what is planned. You could get permission to set up a player stall for example, then go to a military node and set up shop.

All nodes do have the ability to spawn player stalls. If you're not an economic node and you don't have a market- that's essentially your unique building- then you can construct essentially what is I guess would be called a... marketplace; and that marketplace will then come with certain services and it will come with a certain number of stalls. The economic node as I recall has the ability to construct an auction house and the auction house serves through the economic means the ability to list and sell items and that comes with additional stalls as well for the players.[6] – Steven Sharif

If you report it as a /bug and then do it once to show the repro steps no. If you do it a 100 times and flood the market with tin ingots and get gold for it, then yes. If something feels like you are exploiting, you probably are, and if you continue to do it beyond the "discovery" phase, you are going to get a slappin eventually.

You can see and buy from a certain node range of the built up center marketplace, but still have to go physically pick it up. It is called "emergent gameplay" If you are mad that he is killing faster than you, bring friends. Better yet, bring stronger friends and kill him till he leaves. If you are trying to out solo someone for mobs that is higher level, you are in for a hard time. Now if he is following you just to kill what you are killing and it is obvious to anyone who sees it that is the case, then they may or may not act on it when reviewed.

It is alpha two so it will change quite a bit as time goes on. People do get punished for griefing and exploiting bugs. And the gameplay these others are describing is not intended. High level players are not meant to be getting anything out of lower level mobs so that's good feedback for the devs

Yes but griefing is not, harassing lowbies is not, doing things that intentionally lowers game quality for others is not, hence why I'd honestly report it. I'd even do a bug report just saying what higher level players are doing

If they're getting frog hunts to spawn, the devs may look into moving them, that's the only reason I can think of why a high level player would be there

Lots of people want them to fix how and where apprentice and up nodes spawn, if there's hunts there that would be another good one for them to look into moving is all I'm saying

As a Linux user myself, whilst it would be nice. It isn't mainstream yet. If the game opts to use EAC, then they'll need to enable Linux support in the SDK or go through Epic's EAC Cloud Servers.

Depending on how they choose to implement EAC will dictate whether Linux support is even possible.

Coal is not in the game to my knowledge, but what would you use it for anyway? Crafting fuel is usually gathered lumber from any type of trees, with different trees giving different fuel amount, if that's what you're wondering.
