Yeah, there is a player market in each town. There were some issues but it should be back up by now. Just look in the town square where all the people huddle together.

Alternatively treasure maps give a for amount of copper if you get the right pull. Low levels will give you one of like 4 difference resources; flax, rubies, zinc and copper. That's just from memory though.

It could be a few things, but if it's intermittent it's safe to assume your server worker is under a lot of load. When Intrepid implements their dynamic meshing system it should reduce a large number of performance issues

That is the intended mechanic. May or may not be implemented yet. Eventually as more of the artisan systems come online and are fleshed out, that repair at vendor function will go away.

If I had to guess, you're aiming wrong. Mouse mode let's you look anywhere you like, but that doesn't extend to shooting enemies through your back. Try locking onto your opponent first.

Monsters in walls are causing me a huge issue, invisible monsters popping out of nowhere and can't be seen or targeted while doing dmg. There is as well monsters stuck on trees that can't attack. It's highly unprofessional. The wording of the description of the issue is as well: "These errors are all time out errors. They can be caused by a poor connection between your computer and our servers. This can also be caused by slow response from your computer."

This is implying that the issue lies on the user side, which a lot of people are spending hours on fixing, like trying router restarts, networking adapter restarts. Some even go as far to say to reinstall the operating system lmao.

I currently have and am successfully playing a bunch of online games from my environment. The fact this one is consistently not working is a sign of a bug either in the application or in the server setup and it is, once again, highly unprofessional, to try to put the responsibility on the user side.

Clear nodes of basalt and granite. The same nodes spawn copper, and mining them has a chance for copper among other materials now.

If the node is destroyed, there is a window where freeholds can be attacked. If the freehold is destroyed, I believe last information is that the gathered and processed goods from that freehold would be thrown in "the pile" for everyone to fight over. Realize that crafted goods, and your housing layout are not destroyed, they are put in a blueprint and mailed to you.

If your freehold survives, but the node doesn't, there are other actions you have to take to keep it. The wiki has all of this. It is a lot of information to read, and then put it all together in a cohesive whole. Happy researching.

Gathered and processed materials within a node that loses a siege are put in "the pile" to be fought over. A portion are sunk (lost forever) and a portion are part of the spoils.

The only "safe" currency is shiny, shiny gold. Convert your glint and other assets to gold. This encourages people to stop having stockpiles of 100k lower tier wood that they never end up using, thus leading to database bloat that Intrepid has to maintain, slowing down game processes. Also realize that sieges are meant to be infrequent events, especially at higher levels. Testing frequency is bound to be higher, cause they need that tasty data to get them to work right. Live is stated to be different.

Looked at the "known issues" tab on the Intrepid Launcher, it's recommended to put the game on an SSD if you have multiple storage devices. The minimum requirements require an SSD, turns out. One of the devs spent two hours working with me on a call, trying various stuff, only to find that a single box in Windows had been unchecked. Once checked, everything ran fine. Currently tickets are experiencing a backlog. Anecdotally around 3 weeks response time. Finding out some users have issues is all part of the testing. Good luck.

The game also absolutely eats up your RAM and CPU so check both your temperatures and overall load in task manager while running to see if there's any underlying issues there.

Please remember before getting enraged at this or that mechanic that many systems are in a very basic state and in no way resemble what is planned for them later. Node wars will require substantially more effort later in the testing process, timers, cooldowns, and objectives will be clear to people. Node sieges have literal days of prep before they start (and you can bet when they hit testing soon, none of that will be there). While you may feel bad in this moment getting "bullied," it will get better as Intrepid gets out of basic iteration and starts to refine to what they have put down in their design documents as actual mechanics.

Thank you for the response. I understand the game is in Alpha and is still coming together. However, it is difficult not to be enraged at being ganked so frequently with absolutely no warning . Then you respawn and get killed over and over until you just finally log off for the night because your node cannot possibly gather enough troops to defend against 70 attackers because they are spread across Verra or not online (because there is no warning and no preparation).

The wars do not have to be 'fair' to both sides...but it has to be reasonable at the very least. It is so far tilted to the advantage of the war declarer that it is just a toxicity fest. The answer I get is..well, you can just declare war on the other node/guild. So, node1 surprises node2 Friday night. Node2 surprises node1 Saturday night.....on and on. There is no real strategy other than gather your troops at the right time and overwhelm the other team by sheer surprise and numbers because they cannot possibly see it coming.

I hope Intrepid can find some way to lessen the blow until they can figure out a playable design. The only other solution is to denounce citizenship of all nodes so you don't have to worry about the node wars. Now we are not testing other parts of the economy by participating as a citizen.

Always be prepared for war. I enjoy this game for its dedication to realism as much as possible but still make a playable game in a high fantasy world. You ever hear of a surprise attack? Your guild leaders failed you and let you put your guard down. This is the politics side of things, not many games implement it. I hear they are going to put in a warning so you can prepare and stop whining about it but I for one am against that. Half the excitement is not knowing what’s coming and being prepared when your enemy thinks it’s a surprise. Be better and gitgud and stop whining.

I'm not whining...I'm expressing my opinion of this particular aspect of the game. You're opinion is different...it doesn't make it right or better.

If 50% agree with me then that is half the players that could leave the test because of this one thing. In fact, so many players have already left because of the zerg guilds and ganking. At some point, the game will have only hard core PVPers left. If this was meant to be a strict PVP game then there shouldn't be the need to flag up or go corrupt...just let everyone PVP.

Your statement about being prepared is my exact point....if group A has hours to prepare and alerts all thier people to be online at 7pm on Friday and ready to do battle....you're saying group B should always be prepared by having all thier people on 24-5, and always grouped together or near by in anticipation of a war declaration. Albion Online had a great system for Territory fights - Each zone had its own primetime e.g. 18 - So a Guild had to declare an attack on that territory between 18 to 21 the day before. If they missed the timer it would be in 2 days instead of the next day.

Even just knowing who is in your town from the different nodes would be helpful...an icon by thier name or something. If suddenly there are an abnormal number of people from another node, it would be a sign something is up. You cant tell right now...you're either a citizen or your not but it's pretty common to have tons of non citizens around. Then, even a 30 second warning of a war declaration would be enough...assuming they fix the notification problem.

I do get what you are saying but I stand by my statement about the politics. Of you have your ear to the ground you will be less surprised. Also get your friends and allies together and strike back. I also think the giant Zerg guilds ruin the game. But the cure may be worse than the disease here. People will tire of doing surprise attacks as it is a dishonourable act and shows desperation. Only a few are actually ok with it. I’d say most players would more enjoy an organized war. That way they can truly claim they are better or stronger through true victory. “Winning” by stabbing your opponent in the back just proves you were too weak to face him in the first place. Whatever you can constantly handle. It's a lot of trial and error on what kind of mobs you can take, and what level they are compared to you.

It's also dependent on your class, cleric is the best solo class currently and tank struggles

The difference is mainly player base, there's 2 servers based in NA, and 1 server for EU players, but you'll find both region players in either server group

Alot of the brittish players for example play on lyneth

But you can level up to 25. Sounds low but it will take awhile due to mob toughness, and there's pvp in the game already but not really structured

You'll want to go into this alpha phase 2, with the expectation that it might be buggy or even broken for a day or 2, the. You'll love it if you like the older style social mmos. One of the main reasons I bought into AoC was because they don't want anyone who has a main character, to basically go and fund Just themselves from that point onward

@idle siren What if all settings were class based, a continued abstraction of their play styles beyond abilities. For example:

Fighters/Tanks have less Max Zoom Out
Rangers have larger Max render distance
Or enable something like a top down view for clerics or summoners.

As a social sandbox, I couldn't think of a way to immerse the Military Node any more, than by doing this.
