The races are currently only cosmetic. Backgrounds cover most racial traits that you'd expect from an MMO instead. Racial ability augments are a thing that's planned but not implemented.

Yes and no, the system is a bit complicated to explain.

you can flag yourself by pressing alt + f - that will colour you purple and signal to other players that you are willing and ready to fight. When you are purple you can attack anyone.

If you choose to attack someone and they don't fight back you will colour yourself red, become player killer. System has penalties towards player killers - If someone kills you in that state you will drop gear, loose exp and drop stuff from your material inventory.

If you choose to attack someone and they also press alt+f or fight back they will automatically become purple as well, which in systems eyes is "consensual pvp" and there is no penalty for that. If you die you still loose exp and things from your materials inventory.

so generally if someone is attacking you and you wab't to avoid PvP the best thing is to not fight back. Player killers are a tasty snack to pretty much anyone and dont live long

This error is generally caused when trying to create a character when you already have too many on the account. During Alpha Two the maximum number of characters on an account is 10. There are many graphical glitches during character creation that sometimes even persist into the game. It is based on your individual setup, graphics card and others. You may just have to deal with it for now, make your character and see what it looks like once in game. Then /bug it, and grind in your clown suit. The more content you do, the bigger your name, the more you will be seen, thus motivating them to fix those issues. Have fun.

as I understand it, the location is determined when you start the map. i do many of these, and yes they can be difficult to find. especially if you have a rare with 4 circles -- and the location can be on the edge of a circle, not always in the intersections of circles. you may have already gotten the suggestion to lower your graphic settins to see the marker. it looks like a oblong piece of dirt. it may be cliipped by the land maybe. I (helped others) find their a location for a rare map yesterday and it did take a bit to find it.

yeah. you can mix and match a full rainbow in actual crafting. result is based on a breakpoint system from material quality and any other applicable (you likely will have none for tools) buffs you may have and is not random.

But all processing actions with multiple items must be the same rarity.

• Find exploit
• Do exploit until you have reproducable steps that cause it
• Make detailed report about exploit
• Stop using the exploit and delete anything gained from it, because otherwise it shits up gathered data

What is happening is:

• Be part of a zerg
• Find an exploit
• Identify how to do the exploit
• Tell your zerg how to do it and that they shouldn't report it and everyone should do it a ton
• Abuse exploit until cheating makes up for skill(Never)
• Be aware that you will get punished at some point, pre-emptively make mule characters and trade your ill-gotten rewards off to others so that you can keep them, level up alts so that you won't even have to re-level when it comes because last time they just wiped the cheating characters to 0
• ???

Finding and reporting exploits is good and you should be doing it

Finding and then rampantly abusing exploits and skewing the rest of the gathered data in a way that taints the whole point of this alpha even existing is bad, and when people get punished for it and banned for being stupid they lose any right to complain

And it's largely the same groups of players doing it as in P1, which were the same groups with a reputation for this type of behavior outside of Ashes, and primarily big zerg guilds because that's just how zergs operate

It's why Resna was awful, it's why Vyra currently sucks, because the servers are largely dominated by guilds full of exploiters that are completely incompetent at the actual game and can't even build a town correctly

Eeeeh, honestly I think condensing down the playerbase was important for gathering data on how people will interact in a confined space, it's just that unfortunately there is an innate problem with zergs because they're the equivalent of a kitchen drain catch. It's just where the worst players end up accumulating. Happens in every game that has large group sizes.

Realistically speaking I think the only way that they can actually "solve" the problem is if they have realms that are designated as the equivalent of Rust Solo/Duo/Trio servers, where you can only actually have one guild worth of people and if you're found to be doing the sort of Guild #1-30 stuff we're currently seeing, your characters on that server just get deleted and you get a warning to move to a large group server.

Any in-game means of solving the problem quickly gets rendered little more than a logistics and organizational issue.

Part of the issue was that zergs can hoover up resources. If they made resource collection fairer, then honorable pvp over other limited resources would be more common. Instead, they incentivized mob leasing and looting, and ganking other people's resources cause attackers always have the advantage.

It's why a lot of people aren't running caravans until something is done. And that messes up a lot of the testing of that mechanic

Sometimes you have to log in and out for the circle to appear.

If it's not showing in your active quests at all, you may just have to cut your losses.

turn your graphics on low. I did have an issue with one not showing (pretty sure it was clipping under the map like the trees) but no issue ever since they did the updates. Heroic map is a big area and hte more likely scenario is you jus thaven't found it.

I do not think they share spawns with mobs, they’re their own spawns. I could be wrong. Could t say an exact location but I have seen a much around the rivers on the western side of the map
