Hey all, for weeks now I've been having issues when logging in from the character screen to the game. It will crash the first 3 times, and when I get in sometimes crash again. Today has been the worst it's ever been. I've been trying for 2 hours to login. I've even made it into the game only to have it crash after a few minutes of laggy gameplay. My computer has pretty decent specs, not the best but def not the worst, and I've run the game beautiful countless times before. It seems to just be the logging in. Any insight or solution for this?

It was a combination of crafting gear allowing upscaling of rarity too much, making legendaries super easy to make, and the legendaries themselves being scaled wrong

Two star think of it as a small party is what should most of the time be trying to kill.
Three star is for a full group if you are looking to kill multiple of them. Five star is a raid boss.

Well the first bit was my own opinion. The 24ish hours is from polar. Both from the fact that by day 2 or 3 they were mostly max level (among other guilds on Vyra) and because the polar guild lead released a no life power leveling guide that claims you can manage it it 24 hours

there is a multiplier like that, but i dont know the specifics on numbers. it is based on distance calculated on node borders however. one node to the adjacent node is minimal but still a profit. the further you go the higher the multiplier.

But there is an interesting thing with Miraleth and Aithanahr currently, that gets quite the large multiplier due to mir and aith technically not sharing a direct adjacent border due to the lawless zone between them.

It is usual for (some) players to congregate in the largest/most powerful guild to ensure their own individual protection. That boosts the size and power of that guild - how do the devs see a balance being achieved?

Steven expects there to be lots of internal conflict within large guilds. We have already seen a lot of this already. Also, guilds will be given a point tree in the future where guilds can either choose to be larger or choose to have other benefits which makes having smaller guilds more appealing. Also, you can’t teleport, so a large guild can’t quickly round up forces if smaller more organized groups decide to pick the large guild apart. I’ve also seen a lot more aggression from smaller guilds than I have from Pirates on Lyneth. Pirates being the largest guild in the game by a large margin right now.

It depends on the rig, if it is your work rig and you got lots of RAM usages in the background that you don't want to close down while playing, then 8GB VRAM on the 5700XT + 16GB DDR4 will not be enough, I measure on mine about 24GB Total usage VRAM+RAM, might get tricky to even open Discord or perhaps a video while playing, since X-Mas. My rig is in a way the AM5 version: Ryzen 5 7600, 32GB DDR5 5600, 6600XT 8GB - going to get a set of 96GB DDR5 as I am sick of logging out to close 16GB worth of Chrome each time. 32GB in RAM is what I would aim for if you are a 1 monitor, 1 game user kind of type, and don't forget Windows 12 is on the horizon as well

Yes I’m in the server and town. Problem is there is some confusion in the community of this particular mount.

It has been referenced in the past as a cosmetic mount. But it’s literally listed in the AH Apprentice Stall in Halcyon (Lyneth) as a “tameable” mount.

So I was confused if it should even be in the game at all? Or is it cosmetic that’s exclusive to early supporters?

Hey, i have another question. I have a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti and use Windows 10 Pro. It looks like my GPU does not get utilized at all by the game. I am running on 50-60% CPU usage and 11-14GB RAM all the time with the GPU beeing at 0%. I read, that this could also be a windows display bug but it does not feel like it. Do journeyman upgrades still need the supporting building to maintain the journeyman upgrade?

I ask because it is technically not an upkeep cost to keep the building.

Example: New Aela currently has a Woodshop and is planning on the Carpentry upgrade which requires a Trade Bureau. After the Carpentry is upgraded will I be able to demolish the Trade Bureau and build another support building to force another journeyman upgrade, such as lumberjacking or lumber milling?

In the current state of the game, it's way more advantageous to loot our gear than to craft it.
I would like to know if this is a temporary situation.

I have a question regarding the TOS and software that collects data from the screen. So no datamining or anything since that is clearly against TOS but for example a little program that takes screenshots of the map every once in a while, and than creates a heatmap based on where you as player are often. This would be for personal use only but I as non native English speaker and the TOS confuses me a bit since it's written very broad.

The game Dofus has an interesting PvP mechanic in their Manichean approach (Angels vs Demons, see it as Horde vs Alliance just that it is not linked directly to your race)

: They can get contracts which will make players earning some Faction points. And these contracts provide the not-so-accurate location of a player, that they have to Hunt and kill - Obviously, players that can be the target of these contracts are affiliated to the opposite faction therefore, are aware that this may happen at any time, as there is a pvp system between factions that allow player to Aggro them without gaining corruption.

In this system, players killing enemies from the other faction earn ranking points, depending on the level that the enemies acquires within their faction (the more faction points you get, the less you win by killing player with lower ranking, and obviously the lesser point you have, the more you gain by killing the high rollers)

But when successfully filling their contracts they would earn some currency that they then could exchange, similar as what we have with the Node rewards for the citizen.

There are a few beginner quests that you should do, and it's fine to solo 1-8ish, as it goes very fast and honestly you might just waste more time trying to find a group. After level 8, there are a number of POI (Points of Interest) that are popular for getting groups (Church of the Fallen Stars and HIghwayman Hills being the most popular).

If you aren't going to join a guild, Tank, Cleric and Bard are the most sought-after classes for groups, and will make it easiest to find a PUG.

Hello to whom it may concern! I need a bit of help with a technical issue with installing the game, and any advice or help is greatly appreciated. I bought the alpha two version, downloaded the installer, but when i go to actually install it, it gives this error saying "DirectX12 runtime mandatory prerequisite was not correctly installed" (see attached image). For reference, I'm playing off a laptop that has a 4080 mobile GPU if that helps. I don't know technology lingo that well so I don't know what this means or how to fix it. Please help cuz this game looks super cool
