Quite literally nothing in the game is done atm, it's still at least 3+ years away from release.

Now, questing in Ashes probably won't ever be like what you're used to if you're a WoW or FF14 player for example where you go from point A>B>C>D>E>F etc. all the way to max level. The zones in Ashes aren't set at certain levels, rather every zone is capable of being a zone with level 1 and level 50 content which means you can't really make a questing system where you always go to point A>B>C etc. to level

Quests/commissions/story arcs/events etc. will all be tweaked and changed before release though, yes

That said, wave 2 involves servers being up for at least 5 days a week - so you should eventually be able to test.

Hmmm, I don't believe they can be player traded, but instead have to be put into a caravan at the point of origin. There was talk about being able to "rent" space on others caravans, so a caravan would be carrying commodities from multiple people, but I don't think they were things you "bought" from the vendor and were placed in your inventory. This of course would be different from commodities dropped during a caravan destruction and stolen commodities.

Ok, a couple things wrong with those statements. If you had bought P2 access, you would not have access to P1. If your friend had given you access to his account, he has broken TOS and most likely would lose the account if it came to light (and suprisingly, people snitch on themselves constantly) so anyone "letting you borrow" their account is risking their own money. And the clients are constantly iterated upon. Stuff that was tested today is not the client that will be available tomorrow. When Intrepid wants you to download P2, they will let everyone know. Till then, chill.

As far as I can find Intrepid has not confirmed anything that will be in the "launch" of Dec 20th. There are patch notes from the testing client yesterday on the forums that should give you a good idea of what is coming under "Phase Two Test Realm Update Notes - Tuesday, December 17" but none of it is confirmed yet.

That is what testing is for. As the testing goes on it will shift from more server side issues to content and display issues, optimization and others. Since we are at the end of their first big server push, to see stress testing is expected. If you think you are entitled to a smooth experience for the "game that I paid for" then you should have done better research and realized you are in for months of frustration. Enjoy.

I'm having issues launching from the launcher. I've always received a notice that my graphics card drivers are out of date and would I like to update them (this appears in other games as well). I hit no because they're not out of date. When I hit No it closes the game. This has happened before but usually a restart fixes it. So as usual, the new drivers won't install. I have a hard drive from a different motherboard that had an Nvidia 2080. I don't think that's the problem though, because all games tell me my drivers are out of date but run anyways. And this was coming up before (yesterday for example) and it ran fine. It did this same thing, but a PC reboot fixed it and I played for several hours.

What you are thinking of for racial bonuses is covered here during character creation under backgrounds. Races indeed are just cosmetic. Want to be dwarf that grew up in a tree? Want to be an elf that loves the deep delves? Go for it.

Artisan buildings have skill trees that get extra points in them when support buildings are made such as a factory, or farm. These buildings alone do not do anything but they add building points to the buildings they support. In a village node 4 building plots are available to build in. In a town if I remember correctly its 6. To achieve all T3 in a single building. There would need to be 2 extra support buildings for that specific node.

So if you wanted all T3 of metal, weapons, and armor smithing, You would need 3 artisan buildings and 3 support buildings just to achieve all 3 of the T3 services a smithy offers

of the 22 odd skills between gathering processing and crafting any five may be raised to apprentice. then of those five apprentice skills four may be raised to journeyman, then so on till two grandmaster skills. leaving 17 odd skills capped at novice level. you may respec in a sense, by lowering a raised certification, but doing so will likely forfeit all the exp you gained in that skill you lowered.

For example, if you lower a journeyman skill to apprentice, all the exp (and later skills) gained in journeyman will be lost. and if you later raise that skill back up to journy, you will have to grind it all out again

When playing in the 12/18 and 12/17 stress test, I had noticed that Oakenbane did not have any mobs in it at all. Is this a bug, or does Miraleth have to be a level 3 node?

Similarly, I had noticed a group of flayers west of Oakenbane spawn in when the servers start, but later whenever I would pass by, they never respawned. Is this a bug, or does the node progression remove them?

you lock your main archtype in at char creation and then pick one of the secondary archtypes to become one of 8 classes which can be changed, but the base archtype wont change unless a new char is made ( this is once they are in the game of course)

Assuming that’s a bug so I’d report it. You shouldn’t respawn as purple. Try waiting in corpse for for the status to fall off. Takes about a minute

Not sure if it falls off while dead though. Also, make sure force flag PvP is off with Alt+F

For now I am trying to plant something for around 15 minutes, whilst having seeds and water in my inventory. I could not find any herbalism vendor yet, so the seeds I have are Flax and Lettuce. Whilst I am lacking droppings (should they be required), I can't find any point for interaction, nor is there a menu for the frehold I can find.

Yeah that is sadly not the thing, but it is the farming station + regular crafting items, but you need droppings -> impossible to farm in a reasonable time with level 25

You'll have to do the tradesman quests if you want the starter mount, but once you have gold you can buy the ebon mount from the "Shady Lady" in each town, small building with a small shed attached ❤️

I dont think ive tried saving any char presets, but you could hit windows key+r and type in:
%localappdata%\AOC\Saved\

then look around to see if there are any that look like a char preset file
