I’ve got a question to clarify the purchase of alpha tests. If I purchase it does that give me access to all future tests? And are they rolling releases or do the tests last a couple of weeks then servers get shut down until the next test?

Phase 1 only has testing in the Weekends. Phase 2 will have 5+ days a week and Phase 3 should be up all the time

I resonate with that, I've wanted to get into MMOs for years but I've always had various barriers. FFXIV takes far too long to meaningfully progress and the graphics are outdated which is something that matters greatly for my immersion, can't stand the reputation with WoW and also dislike its graphics, BDO was simply too complicated even for a hardcore gamer like myself, plus a huge barrier to entry for my more casual friends who don't have the time to commit hundreds of hours into a game just to get into the meat and potatoes

depends on how things go, tbh. as far as what I've heard, they supplemented some issues in the current classes with parts of rogue. if that's true, it'll take a bit to figure out rogue. then you've gotta make sure it balances and works well with party synergy. then there's summoner.
tbh, I'm equally bummed but not entirely upset. without lag and bugs, fighting seems to feel like it works well. gotta consider that the more there is, the more difficult it is to balance and make fluid.

Why is there just a strong randomization of mats. Finding copper and ruby is impossible while iron and sapphires are everywhere. I think there needs to be more stability with mats.

only way I found the 2nd one is that it was close enough to an iron for me to visibly tell the difference

Here. They are sometimes very hidden (behind trees and other stuff). They spawn everywhere on the right side after you cross the bridge in the tunnel. Its worth to climb down to the water too and continue there. Ive found shit tons of ruby there. I always check it when i walk by.

P2? They will wipe as often "as needed" They are wiping just before it. They want to keep progression for people, but have expressed the reality that depending on circumstances may have to wipe without plan. It is an alpha, you keep nothing for release anyways, so don't get too attached.

Hey I just wanted to ask a kind of specific question.
So me and my wife watched some Streams and video's and read a bit through the wiki and found this game very interesting.
My question would be is it possible for me and my wife to get our hands onto a Freeholds player housing.
Also would it be possible as 2 Players to get through dungeon's not as 2 DPS but through Classes/Archetypes System filling out the trinity.
For example a Tank/Cleric, with a Hunter/Bard, maybe also filling a role with the Pet System.
Of course I don't expect to have the same speed or difficulty as a 8 Player group but at least a chance through Planning and Skill to get even through 8 Player Dungeon's as 2 ppl.

Flax can be found in the world. Unlike snowdrop or daffodils it doesnt grow in the little patches. It grows as a singular flower (like the higher level ones)

Im talking about being able to trade them to other players, so that I can move them for them.

Example being, I have a buddy farming glint and he buys commodities and trades me them so I can move them for him, or he can trade me the glint and I can buy and move them. This opens up econ where my guild can offer caravan services to others where we sell commodities for them and give them a cut of the profit. Since you make 4-10x the glint value w/ commodities even at a 50/50 split it would be super worth it for someone who doesn't wanna run them themselves.

Yesterday I had an issue where I as a caravan defender was killed by flagged players and I got corrupted, even though I didn't kill/loot anyone. There was a ..glitch let's call it.. where the attackers were able to go in and out of pvp flag status making it impossible for us to kill. I think during one of these instances where they unflagged I healed them either aoe or directly, thinking I was self healing and then when they reflagged my HOTs kept ticking racking up corruption on my char, and xp debt I'm assuming. Idk how corruption works but I'm suddenly 35k debt and literally couldnt grind it away cause I've become a free loot pinata etc. This is the best explanation I can think of... regardless of the why, I'm not logging into this char until corruption is gone.

I don’t believe use of 3rd party applications is approved at all. Pretty much, if it’s not built into the game, it shouldn’t be used.

I’d read Steven’s comment. I think macros are likely undesirable because “when does a macro become a script/bot action?” < this is up for interpretation and can lead to disagreements

Good to know. If I am unable to setup mouseover in the game menus then healer will never be an option for me sadly. Clicking individual targets to heal them is painful especially in raid settings, party isn't as bad . I've grown too accustomed to mouseover for healing and dispelling lol. Addons I can live without mouseover I cannot lol

Vaknar, is there any observations being done regarding ore respawns? Not sure if every server is experiencing it, but copper seems to be a major shortage in Lyneth. It takes hundreds of copper to hit apprentice in arcane, and I can barely find 3 in hours of dedicated scouring of the lands (you don’t have to be specific about anything if you don’t wanna)

@spice cobalt there is also defensive (forgot the second word) that let's you basically have two targets. The mob and a friendly at the same time can be targeted and anything that can be cast on a player will be cast on them while you continue your dps rampage

Yes .. it has some weird quirks like the friendly target not being able to be switched to someone outside your group unless you clear both targets

That's nuts. I've known small streamers that try to dox people.... One of the ones I knew got banned because he tried to hide the fact that he threatened the dude he was trying to dox. They are obviously not in my life now.

But if its a streamer you can just have real proof of what he doing with his pseudo/server in game easy, or you do only in game investigation ?

yeah its fucked. we have the clips of the dude and afaik hes a somewhat "popular" streamer in the ashes content sphere.

we reported him on twitch as well as on the website now. hopefully something is done. the dude made a new character on a different server too due to the backlash
