hello! i am not able to finish the quest at the church from the 7. "Of Wicked Intent" - i have collected ALL 7 Pages and searched the church in every spot - even the mountain around. Tested the Pavillion with 7 other players. placed the pages in all possible squares and forms in my inventory. But i am not able to combine the 7 Pages to the book/ bible - which is needed for the quest finish. What can i do to finish the quest?!

You can't have them all maxed out, since higher nodes will restrict nearby nodes' level. There was also some talk about node upkeep but it is not confirmed, in case it's implemented a certain level of activity would be needed in the node otherwise it will crumble and go back to zero. There's also node siege which basically destroys the whole node progress via pvp.

They do work but unlike in the pre alpha test if u tried using them there novice scrolls now only works for gear that is below lvl 10, so if its for lvl +10 gear you need apprentice scrolls and you also need to have the equipment in your inventory and not equipped for it to work

Right now, it seems that invites people to not help each other, but instead wait to loot their stuff. This very much seems like a game catering to classic MMO enthusiasts that miss the old-style group grind, but I have found a lot of people complaining about it for that reason. Has Steven mad any comment on whether he intends to stray from this? the current game is super grindy as quests dont give enough xp and are broken / not worth doing. group play even at full balanced launch will be needed, and its supposed to be a 60% quest 40% mob grind to max level split, so no campaign that will take you all the way

every thing is bare bones systems that are working and low xp for testing, makes people grind and find bugs and errors etc

this is grindy as hell especially the professions

Not sure how I feel about the 60/40 split for quests, never been a huge fan of quest focused MMOs, but I also realize that many favor that.

As long as the quests are more than "be a messenger back and forth" and more "go kill a bunch of these mobs" or "go kill this big boss that's been plaguing our town with your friends", then I'm okay with that.

they are actively developing the alpha- they got a lot of info from the last weekend of testing. if they allowed downloads now, you'd just need to redownload again once they made further changes. Sometimes the build isn't available until a couple hours before testing.

Before the last access wave started, they did a stress test event the day before (on new servers that they then wiped). Unsure if they plan to do something similar for this one.

nodes are pre determined sections of biomes and as you do activities in the nodes area it will lvl it up, the density lvl of mobs and activities in a area is determined by the level of the node also( in a2 this isnt as prominent) , starts at 0 wilderness and each time it levels up it turns into a bigger village / town / city, the higher the level the more buildings you can build and more housing etc and tis where you your crafting selling etc, think major cities in other mmos. its got so much mechanics to it id read up on the node wiki below

I would recommend watching some of the showcases and familiarizing yourself with the idea of the game before considering it, and to be aware that it is very much a testing period and NOT a full playable game. It is going to be buggy, it is going to crash, it is going to lag, it is going to have the servers go down, you are going to lose loot, you are going to see character wipes. This testing period is so that when those happen, you give detailed bug reports and allows Intrepid to collect data so that this stuff can get fixed.

A2 runs at an absolute minimum until May 2026, but realistically is likely to extend beyond that by quite some amount. It isn't out of the realm of possibility that it lasts until 2027 or further. The game may very well not be out until 2028+.

So, it was my understanding that mobs would drop mats to make gear rather than gear itself.

This weekend grind groups would gear themselves up with dropped gear in order to progress to higher levels. This meant that gear low level crafters could make was mostly for personal use and was quickly replaced if they joined an xp grind group.

My question is this: will the loot tables at launch or in EA be adjusted so mobs drop materials instead of actual gear?

I’m pretty sure I heard this stated once before.

But I think the bigger change will likely come in the form of revisions to gathering/crafting system which is pretty barebones and needs a lot done to make it reasonable

How do we feel about passive hp / mana regen? I think it should be buffed or maybe merge some perks so we can get the obvious choice coupled with some mana/hp regen aura.

I think it's too much downtime waiting for mana and hp early game. I don't want to make potions and stuff useless with too much of a buff but early game I think it makes sense to improve the regen. Like level 15-20 is where I think the potions and food should jump in and be a user's sustain but from 1-15 I'm too broke to consider potions if I choose to be a different artisan from alchemy.

Currently Alpha Two channels can only be typed in by people who have the ability to test in Alpha Two. We haven't added First Wave to these channels yet.

The dev team has it set up this way, so people giving feedback there are confirmed to be people who have the ability to be in weekend tests.

So basically, starting as a non-combatant, you can kill one other non-combatant and an infinite number of other combatants without ever reaching corrupted, but if you attack a 2nd non-combatant while you are a combatant then you are marked as corrupted? Am I understanding that right?

My understanding is this:
They attack you, you dont fight back - You die, they get corruption
You attack them, they dont fight back - They die, you get corruption
You attack each other - One of you dies. No corruption.

Just wanted to make sure I perfectly understood. The open world PvP in this game was my biggest concern going in to it (I usually don't like them), so I'm glad to see these mechanics in place.

I think they might have changed this as players were definitely attacking non-combatants and getting the killing blow and not turning red. Either they changed it so it takes more than one kill, or someone found a bug. 😉
