Hmm, I have an issue on Linux with Pax Dei where I get exactly that message, but the problem is that due to the Intel A770 Linux driver, I have only DX12, not 12.1... that's what triggers it for me.

If you're running Windows, then probably you should make sur eyou have the latest Nvidia driver, 566 I think?

I'm running Ashes on a 1080Ti, in an old Windows machine that lives on a shelf in the garage, and streaming it to my main (Linux) desktop... as I'm not sure if Ashes supports EAC on Linux and 2 days isn't long enough to debug any issues... so if my 1080Ti works, then probably a 1050Ti should... although you'll probably need low settings?

On my Linux system I found that UE5.x has an issue and displays that message if you don't have have DX12 extreme or whatever MS calls 12.1, so it could be a driver problem.

Pax Dei works on my AMD and Nvidia running Linux, just not with Intel GPU... but I've not tried Ashes yet, it should, UE5.x works on Linux, but it will need Intrepid to tick the box for EAC support or I'll get booted.

Nvm - for whatever reason launching the game with admin perms caused the character to go away but than launching it without that it seems to have brought my character back, though all of my previous 3 characters are still gone.

I was looking forward to Alpha 2 for quite some time as an early contributor, but I fear I may not be able to play.

To no fault but my own I am limited to MMO movement styles similar to WoW. With having a mild handicap I play mostly with one hand, allowing normal camera movement with standard WASD.

Camera movement with mouse is very hindering for me. And was reason why I cant play other select titles unless they offer controller support.

Right now I can get movement going with mouse, but takes away from actioning keys like Quest interaction.

I have not tried, and to be honest I don't run Windows at all, although this game interested me enough to set up a game streaming server just incase Intrepid decided not to tick the "support Linux" box in their UAC config.... however at least the 24H2 version of Windows 11 uses virtualisation based security for everything... so it will likely be slower than Windows 10... And then there's all the extra privacy invasion and adverts....

No. You keep the abilities of your primary archetype and they get modified in some way by the secondary archetype. For example clerics have 'bless weapon' maybe a cleric/rogue has 'bless weapon' add shadow damage instead of radiant damage but they keep the spell 'bless weapon'. A Rogue/Cleric might have something like 'poision weapon' from being a rogue, but they don't get the specific spell 'bless weapon'

Edit: just read your note. I’d try deleting it (and all related items) a second time.

I wouldn't call that normal. (Make sure to bug report). I've heard of people being on the wrong server with that as a normal thing (Some random server changes going on). Lots of things that cause characterrs to become unplayable (which often leads to manual deletion) but havn't heard much about completely missing characters.

It’s a small light purple cluster of flower that can be picked… if you really struggle to find it, you can buy seeds at the agricultural vendor and plant em. Bring some droppings and matching quality daffodils… and silver to buy seeds/water with you to make the fertilizer.

Solution for game client crashing every 2mins: I reinstalled game on a SSD disk with 350GB space for AOC and it works fine - no client crashes. ( looks like SSD disk is required )

the launcher uses 100% of my SSD, if you install on HDD I can imagine it's gonna be tough
