Wave bundles were always later, but it's only two weeks. Think of it this way, by the time you can play, the Kickstarter/Pack testers will mean that a good amount of things have been fixed, and you'll have a smoother entry. You're still testing and bug reporting is still vital, but there'll likely be a smoother entry.

What's the plan in regards to which countries will be part of OCE servers and which will be part of Asia/Pacific?

I fear that if OCE server only strictly includes OCE countries, then there won't be enough players for such a large map/game.

Ideally there should be a server for Asia (China, Korea, Japan, Taiwan etc)...

And then OCE and SEA (Singapore, Phillipines, Malaysia, etc) be lumped together.

I've been trying since yesterday to run AoC on Linux, trying multiple tweaks (changing runner, messing with libraries and dlls, changing installation method and environments), unfortunately, using only a Linux machine it seems that it won't be possible without further technical investigations.

There is a problem with the translation of the webview2 layer or some key dlls necessary to display the login window and to be able to authenticate after.

It may be possible with a Windows machine to bypass the login by transfering the login info once completed on Windows to Linux (even tho it seems that the authentification token isn't file based, maybe in the registry ?), but I don't have the faith that it'll run fine generally considering EAC will likely block any attempt to run the game afterward (I've seen report of people getting blocked by EAC while having Linux subsystem / Hyper-V activated, but I'm not 100% sure).

I will keep trying to make the game works, but you can all assume that it is currently not possible to play on Linux and maybe for the entirety of the Alpha II.

But if somebody did make it works or have some additionnal clues, don't hesitate to reach me, I'm interested.

I've run new world with hyper v running and they use EAC. I've also had new world running previously on Linux and I believe EAC actually supports Linux and it's up to the game dev to enable it iirc

The Pre-Alpha 2 stuff is just the stress test. I'd put a 99.9% guarantee that the updated launcher will show something new to select come the official release. So far the only version of WebView2 that kind of works for me under Linux are version 109. I got so far that the launcher installs the client and the button to launch the game appears, but the button does not start the game and no errors appears. What I did where:

1. Install Bottles with the non-GIT version in AUR
2. Create a bottle in Bottles
3. Before staring installing the launcher I installed the WebView2 under the Dependencies menu in the bottle.
4. Used Bottles to start the launcher installer.
5. After starting the launcher and clicking on the log in button, a window with the only content being black appeared. When right clicking inside the window near the right edge a black box appeared with the size a rightclick menu. Then I left clicked near the left egde and press ctrl+a then ctrl+c then opend a text editor and did crtl+v, and text from what looks like a log in page appeared in the text editor. The WebView loads the login webpage but does not display it.
6. Left click near the top left edge of the window, then I pressed tab and typed my e-mailaddress (note that sometimes apps under Wine does not like the "ALT GR" button on EU keyboards so chars like "@" as to be copied past from another program), then I pressed tab and typed my password, then pressed on enter and some seconds later the WebView windows closes and launcher allowed me to start the download and install of the client.
7. The download and install completed without any errors, and I get a launch game button. The button tries to launch the client but nothing happens with no errors. If I launch the AOCClient.exe directly with the same bottle in Bottles, the game starts with a outdated GPU driver warning followed by an error code 10, but I can continue to a transparent "Connecting" screen where I can see the character select screen behind it. If I wait long enough time I can get access to trying out the character creator. If the launcher are running while the game is running the launcher can see it.

Intrepid Studios is mainly a North American company based out of California. During their testing phases, they are going to try and keep them around the time their developers are awake.

They will probably expand those operation hours closer and closer to launch, but during critical test phases, they are going to want to have their developers around....and functional...to help with critical issues. It's not convenient for a global audience unfortunately.

The channels are ROLE based, and that is determined by the roles assigned to your discord account. your discord account does not Alpha Two to it. so that normally means you didnot link your AOC & Discord acccounts as per Step #3 of #read-me-first

so I ended up killing the background task in Task Manager. Then ran the launcher executable file and it gave me the options of Repair and Remove. I hit repair, it ran updates, then started working properly. I am currently downloading the game through the launcher. So fingers crossed that no other issues come up. Hope this helps

You should have access then. you can try linking your AOC account and discord by following step #3 here #read-me-first . But when you log into your account, you should have an option at the top right that says "GET LAUNCHER". This MIGHT be down right now for maintenance for preparation for the launch in a few hours.
