So to my understanding, any weapon can be wielded by any archetype. What kind of effect will this have on the archetype?

someone else might be able to answer better but my understanding was diff wep types have different passive skills and proc effects from their skill trees that enhance skills along with different waterfall stats so you want to mix and match your weapons to whatever archtype / skills you want. some weapon types might be better for a tank / bard archtype compared to a tank / fighter archtype due to passive skills / procs etc

Some specific skills require specific weapons, but beyond that there isn't any particular limit. Some weapons are a bit antithetical to an archetype, like a bow wielding tank, so I would definitely still think in the realm of what is or is not intended.

Certain class skills require specific weapons like rangers needing a bow or tanks needing a shield. You also have to consider stat pairing and how your base damage will be effected (magic based mage build wielding a sword will also have to get high str for his weapon DMG).

Update on the situation of the store.
Before it was not even possible to enter Pay Pal from any of the store options, now it is possible in Monthly Add-ons.

I played during Alpha 1 as an OCE on NA servers and i didnt have much lag during pvp and general gameplay. So you should be okay. OCE regions may be live at beta but its still up in the air. But it is confirmed OCE will be getting servers.

Ignore that guy. You’re not missing out on much. They’re weekend only tests and they’re to test stability. Game might not be very playable the first two weekends so it’ll save you the frustration. You can watch streams as NDA is lifting.
