The best place for feeback is the forums as it is a static environment that the CM team look at for feedback and reports they generate. Steven very rarely takes random direct questions from people, he is busy running a company and if anyone and everyone could just demand pieces of his time with their personal burning issue, even less would get done. You can put your question in the monthly Q&A section on the forums for the livestream also. It might get picked. But remember, single question, clear and concise. They don't pick convuluted or rambling essays.

You don’t need to be in discord at all. You will have access to the tests no matter what. Everything is linked to your email and intrepid account. Alpha 2 won’t have an NDA so discord roles won’t really matter.

If they do matter, a mod would be able to help you.

Could someone explain to me how pet skins work in AoC? Looking at the Cosmetic Pets page of the ashes wiki, it says that cosmetic pets are available for purchase from the cosmetic store and can be summoned from level 1. But the term pet skin shown on official Ashes pages for bundles makes it sound like its a skin that would be applied to a pet type.

The pets sold in the past are cosmetic pets that simply run alongside you and don't participate in combat, they're not applied to anything

There's 3 types of pets in Ashes, combat, cosmetic, and Summoner's pets

Cosmetic pet skins can't be applied to combat pets or summoner pets

One can only assume it depends on the severity of the breach. A couple examples might be a warning for minor things and instant perma ban for sharing video footage.

I’m sure other less egregious offenses would also result in a permanent ban so best bet is to read/understand and follow the rules 😀

I had mine solved in a few hours, but I'd imagine support is pretty bogged down at the moment. Make sure to let them know you have the access you claim you do and to send a screenshot of your inventory/packs. The first time I tried had very little info from me and it didnt go anywhere.

The only access that would be relevant right this second is for pre-A2, which requires A1 access. If you do not have A1 access, getting roles will not provide any benefit until your pack's testing phase starts

Right now we're in a phase of spot testing, they add more people with A2 access in waves. So everyone will be in eventually, but not immediately. Once A2 begins, everyone with A2 access will be put in.

And even then, the first phase of A2 will be "weekend only" tests. Then later become 5 Day per Week tests. And finally, If everything is smooth enough, 24/7 Alpha 2 sometime in 2025.

But as others have said, this is a very early test. I would strongly consider poking around the dev streams and maybe watching some content when the phase 1 begins to see if an early test like this is up your alley.

first, thanks for the stream and the well done introduction into Alpha II.

In the Lion(s)hold part of the presentation, I recognized strange walking
animations by the char Steven played. It just didn´t look right and fitting for me.

The running animation was ok from my view.

This may read a bit nitpicky to some, but you look at the char you are playing
all the time. The immersion could break for many, if this isn´t done right, too.

It reminded me a bit of what I saw in Pax Dei, which uses the "unreal-standard"
I believe.

I understand, that this is the AlphaII and everything is in development status and
will be for a long time. I also understand that you have to actually play the game
to really feel it and I can´t wait to join you 🙂

We haven't seen a fully descriptive update to the mage archetype in a while. I believe the last archetype showcase for mage was April '23 and there was a tiny update during the midnight magic showcase in April this year.
Secondary classes/augments have not been shown at all yet to my knowledge and last it was mentioned I got the impression that not much time had been spent on that area of development yet.

Alpha 2 phase 3 has secondary specializations (which should include augments) for cleric and tank listed as additions. It sounds like these two are the furthest along in development.

Question about Nodes - I am worried about nodes closer to spawn areas becoming Metropolis first (due to favoritism from being easier to access) locking out any further nodes from becoming so on most servers. How does the design team view this problem, and how do they plan to circumvent the lack of variety in node progression between servers? Or is it a non issue and devs will let the servers run how they want even if they do end up looking similar in node progression.

Defensive target. You never lose your target on the boss when you target an ally, and you never lose your ally target when you attack the boss. Having these two separate makes healing/dps hybrids much more pleasant to play.

Depends on what you mean by "things to do". Dungeons/POIs - probably not at the start of A2 (otherwise they would be shown on the map). Mobs/resources - I would assume that most likely they will be there. In any case, I would expect other nodes to reach the same level of content density as others throughout Alpha 2

If you are corrupt, you are not safe from being attacked. You aren't getting griefed by getting attacked by greens as a corrupted player. You take a risk by becoming corrupted, 1 being that you receive stat debuffs, 2 being that you are now a free target. If this doesn't sound appealing to you, then dont kill green players.

From what I understand the dungeons will be like the Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) in that some will be open to the public and some will set in an instance. It's been awhile since I heard this so they could have changed their mind, but I'm with you in that I enjoyed repeating some of the dungeons in WoW.
