There is a "soft cap" based on cost. Every freehold, in node house, apartment or inn increases in cost for each one purchased. At a certain point they become so expensive, no one will buy. Inns are the only "unlimited" type of housing.

Nope, that is all data they will be tweaking over the course of testing to hit their intended targets. <speculation> This node tier is optimized for 300 citizens. After it hits 300 the price goes up exponentially, where it went up less so in the first 300.

one would assume it would look something similar to how he camouflage mechanic looks for allies, in the caravan pvp update theres friendly rangers running around in camouflage that you can still see, while thats not true stealth on the ranger one could assume rogues true stealth would have a similar effect for allies otherwise you wouldnt be able to target and heal them etc ( unless thats intended). would have to wait for the actual rogue showcase to find out for certain tho

The higher the level of the mount, the further it can glide.

The most important group of people to you will be other citizens of your node. Citizens of a node will thrive together and they will suffer together. Guilds are also an important part of the game so I’d read up on them. In the end, you can play the game however you’d like. Being a member of a guild isn’t required to experience ~95% of the game.

I have a misunderstanding regarding the housing in ashes of creation. It might be due to english not being my first language. But from my understanding there will be fewer houses then players in ashes of creation?

so does it come down to a who first comes first serves type of housing?

There's multiple types of housing.

Freeholds are the houses that appear in the open-world outside of Nodes. These are fairly limited.
Apartments are instanced housing inside of Nodes that mayors need to build. These are fairly plentiful.
Inns are instanced housing that are in a node by default. These are the most accessible.
In-node static housing is housing that appears inside a node as soon as the node is built. These are probably going to be very limited. These houses get upgraded as the node advances. So if you purchase a house while the node is village stage, and then the node grows to Metro, the house will be a "mansion"

It's also not really known exactly how populated servers will be or how high players numbers will be, and it'll likely vary a bit by server, and also by location

I’d read the wiki page for AoC to get a feel for how AoC is going to work. It’s a PvX game which means PvP is essentially unavoidable.

Just for a little more info, sieges do have a cool down of 21 days and it is a pretty good warning time depending on what is being sieged, like multiple days. So truthfully it won't be and there are benefits to having housings in a node too rather than just an apartment

I wanna know if intrepid has any plans to promote an esports scene within the game? I know they already have a ranked arena system with potentially a spectator system, all you'd need is the ability to make custom matches for a good start, but things like Intrepid sponsored tournaments and events would go a long long way towards legitimizing a scene.

Obviously I don't expect this to even removing be their primary focus for the game, but do think it would be cool to see the best of the best Ashes players compete against each other.
