The wiki says “The user interface will allow emblems, logos and symbols to be designed in-game.” But the KS section of the same page says “Guild themed character cloaks were cosmetic rewards for backing at the Leader of Men level or higher in the Kickstarter and Summer crowdfunding campaigns.[45]” The former makes no mention of them being a guild wide feature which makes me think you can customize your own, but your whole guild wouldn’t have access to your design. Seems like a bad design, but the wiki isn’t clear on that

They have not spoken to that, but since it is still considered niche, and people have already seen that plenty of processing power is going to be needed to run Ashes in whatever form it "live launches" at, probably not.

Intel and AMD processors are generally X86 architecture where as ARM processors are RISC processors based on ARM architecture. ARM processors offer lower performance than AMD and Intel processors but, they also consume lower power. If you need a processor for a desktop, you have to go with INTEL or AMD.Apr 24, 2023

Weapon types have their own respective skill trees, so 1h swords will have a different weapon skill tree than staves would for example

Until recently I had considered this a lost cause. When I funded this back on kickstarter it seemed like they were probably going to be ready in a couple years. Then I think it fell victim to Feature Creep from all the media attention building hype around it at the time which put it into the Star Citizen cycle of endless microtransactions to feed the feature creep all in an attemp to live up to the hype that it never will at this point because of how long it has taken & all the promises.

My question is, will this even be the same game we kickstarted almost 10 years ago now?

When you funded it on KS they had like 15 employees. The issue with Ashes is they took a long, long time to hire the necessary people. For example they wanted 100 employees by the end of 2018, but didn't hit 100 employees till late 2021/early 2022. Now they're at over 200

Any roles related to held packs are still active. The roles that are not active are old tests, like Apoc, A0, and A1. If you are having issues with your discord bind, contact support. They fixed mine in a day.

So the point still stands, if you plan vacation/time off from work to match some date thinking you will be "playing" A2, you are setting yourself up for disappointment. With the artisan class limits, does getting grandmaster in one class count as an apprentice, journeyman, and master towards the limit? It seems crazy to me that you would get to be a grandmaster in 2 classes, and then only 1 class in each of the others but I swear I've heard it explained that way.

Just joined but been watching videos and streams every now and then whenever I have time. I got a couple of questions but if they're not allowed here then sry and feel free to point me to where I could ask them or just tell me they have no answers for them yet and that's fine lol

1. Will level mean anything like in older games or will it just be some pointless number like in most games nowadays?

2. Kind of ties in with the first question. If lvl is important then will it also be slow leveling so that a high lvl player will also be someone that can make an impact by showing up in a pvp war or maybe during a raid/dungeon?

3. What will be the max level or has it not been announced yet?

4. How impactful will builds be? Will you be able to truly be someone powerful or will it just be different playstyles from it? I'm asking this mostly because when I played early Archeage, I had created a nearly godlike build where I'd be able to go 1vs15 in pvp. Will I be able to create powerful builds like that or will it just be used for different playstyles so that pretty much everyone is different?

Depends what you mean. Levelling is planned to take a while, you won't be competing 1 quest and leveling 4 times for example. Max level is 50.

Housing is limited by intentional scarcity and there are different varieties, though there will be more available in the instanced variety (like an apartment). I believe the goal is every player can have some type of housing, though not all will be able to have the more elaborate over-world kind.

Regarding the yellow circle on map which represents the limit of organized Pvp as this screenshot from Nodes War livestream, do we know what would happen for people that are not participating in the node war? I mean if they are able to enter in the circle or not, and how does it work for them regarding Pvp tag or not?

They are not flagged automatically unless they are citizens of the participating nodes. They would appear as green targets with the normal open world flagging rules being applied. If they attacked anyone, they would turn purple and be able to be killed. They would not be able to participate in quest objectives for the event.

If you watch the node wars video, you can see that the opposing side has red health bars and a particular icon above them. It would be hard to claim that "oh, I didn't know they were not part of the event" and remember, you have to force target on someone to be able to damage them in pvp. So no "running through the bad" to get aoe tagged and cause issues.
