Usually yes, if you bought a pack with A1, it also had A2 in it. If you only got an A1 key however (e.g. though a giveaway) you don't automatically have A2 access

You will be able to use all fighter skill abilities with dual wielding as far as we know. A wand is a ranged weapon that goes into your ranged weapon slot. If you use an ability that needs a melee weapon it will switch to what you have equipped there.

Almost certainly yes but we don't know for sure. Intrepid's intention is for every weapon type to be usable by every class, though classes may prefer to use certain weapons (and some skills may require a certain weapon like shield bash).

Depends on what you mean by actively participate. Nodes are intertwined into basically every game system. But you don’t have to be a citizen of a node to play the game.

Not being part of the town/main guild of the town. I know that most things that you do funnel back to your local node when you are a citizen, but if you aren't part of the main faction for a node, do you still get a "full" gameplay experience?
Let's use WoW guilds as an example. If you aren't part of a major guild in WoW, you still have plenty of things you can do on your own or with groups. If you don't want to participate in Node gameplay and just want to play an MMO with your group of friends, what options are there for content to participate in that aren't node related.
Citizenship still folds into node gameplay, I'm mostly talking about what will be there outside of node related stuff.

You don't need to be in the strongest guild in a node to experience the entire game. Aside from maybe being the mayor. Only a very select few will experience that part of the game

You need to interact with nodes to play the game. You're basically asking how you can play WoW without going into a city and talking to an NPC. Outside of the settlements/cities, there is combat.

Not specifically, but AoE attacks will not hit you if you are a non-combatant. Also players casting AoEs will be able to opt in to whether they want those to hit combatants

What kind of disability in generally? Iam social educator and also have disability as be full deaf. Fortnite gives a good example with the sound steps. League of legends added recently that really help with "Ultimate spell" that it shows icon on right side when someone cast this spell. Hope those was some good examples that can help with ideas to add better accessbility to the game 🙂

Hey all. I just watched the node war update. Pretty nice, as always. I wonder though: is it planned to reward participants in any way? I mean the winner of such an event obviously gets a reward (or the node does) but what about the loosing side? Any reward like glimmer, materials or any pvp currency?
Since the events do take some time to play out/finish, how would such rewards be distributed for people not attending the whole story? I think Trent talked quite at the end about something like a scoreboard, where he analyses some stats for the event. Will that be available as well?

It is extremely sad because porting to GFN is not such a big task as porting to say Mac, Linux or console. I love the project, MMOs are by far my most favorite genre, but I am not buying a 3 000$ PC only to play one game.
Plus Geforce NOW runs on Console, tablets, mobile phones, TVs and I think that some fridges and washing machines can run it as well. It is the ultimate answer to pushing to other platforms... While your PC gets older and loses it's value, my GFN hardware gets upgraded for free and I don't have to pay any electricity bills for operating such a demanding PC. The future is in the cloud and I really think that they are missing out big time.

There's currently no way to get guaranteed access to A2. They may be holding A2 giveaways as A2 gets closer, or during A2. They may open up sales again after Alpha 2 has begun, but there is no eta for this.

It would differ on a case-by-case basis but some examples would be that your node might have crafting buildings that you or your guild specifically use and the parent node might not have these buildings, or the metro node may be full up on available real estate thus meaning you can't own your own place and would have to bunk in an inn for citizenship. There are also quoted to be some benefits received by Vassal nodes from the Parent node even if the node types differ. Freeholds may also play a factor in deciding whether to move to a Parent node or stay within a Vassal node.
Overall it doesn't seem overly beneficial to stay in a lower tiered node, especially towards endgame, but there may be niche cases that you would choose to.

There's an element of horizontal scaling between nodes in regards to buffs, titles, reduced fees. That being said, you can still access a lot of the Metro/Parent node content without being a citizen, just at the normal rate instead of a reduced rate. A lot of the endgame content is locked into level of node but you don't have to be a citizen to participate in the content, with the possible exclusion of Faith Metropolis Megadungeon. It may not necessarily be hyper-efficient but endgame players can be in lower level towns without too much drawback as far as we're aware, depending on whether you're crafting focused or not. Once we learn more about the buffs Vassal nodes are given from their parent nodes, I think we'll be able to make a better assessment of benefits and demerits.

Has Steven ever talked about his vision for expansions and character development? More specifically, is steven thinking of totally changing the build balance to "force" us to rerol (wow type) or just do small boost/nerf (L2 type)?

Well, if you are wondering about balancing builds...He always mentions to focus balancing around group gameplay and that they aim for a rock, paper scissors approach.
Meaning, one class might be super strong vs a specific other class, but weak against another and vice versa.
Since we do not have too much specific infos on how deeply the augments will affect skill progression it is hard to know at the current stage 🙂

We are blessed by a community member Lex to have the AoC wiki - it’s a ridiculously well documented wiki that only writes info in it if it is spoken or written by an intrepid staff member so there’s zero speculation on it
Generally we recommend just opening the wiki and starting to dig in to whatever seems interesting. I’ll link a good starting page for that and then it’s up to you

Generally the wiki is up to date - only time it’s not is when we get a new stream or video from intrepid - usually takes a week or so for stuff to get updated
Another thing to consider is everything is subject to change since AoC is in development still lol

If something isn’t explicitly stated in the wiki, we probably don’t know for sure. But this is a major game feature like that I can say with 99.9% certainty that it will be available to all players no matter their citizenship status. We aren’t supposed to speculate in here, but a major system wouldn’t be limited to 25% of the population. You just have to meet the level requirement.
And yes, if something isn’t specified as being limited to a certain group of players, you can likely assume it will be available to all players

Unless you're a PI member, no, you aren't missing out on anything as yet. A1 members will eventually get an opportunity to spot test as well iirc. Spot testing will continue up until A2 launch, A2 launch is still on track for Q3 this year as far as we're aware.

ok well here it goes, I bought the Beta Access for $150 then they did the charity livestream and i was one of the winners of the Alpha 2 keys. My question is my account can still be upgraded for $100 will that give me another key that i then could give my wife to have access to alpha 2?

You won't get an additional key, no. You don't obtain keys when you buy things from the store, it's just directly applied to your account
The only things you'll get if you upgrade your pack is the cosmetics from the higher tier pack, extra sub time, and extra embers

27" 1920x1440 rez running at a good/fast refresh rate would be my choice -- most professional gamers will use the same.

someone once told me to look in one corner of the screen and you should be able to see to opposite corner through your peripherals. If you can't it's too big, that's what I've been going by for years cause it made sense being I care about situational awareness which is why the 27" is so popular.
