each archtype has 4 schools of augments. for example lets say Cleric has holy, death, healing, and anti-healing augments (this is just an example, not actually in the game)

if im a tank, and choose cleric as my secondary, that means I can augment my skills with those 4 schools of augments. So maybe I can add holy damage to some of my DPS skills, and self-healing to some of my tank skills, and so on

we dont know that much about augments yet, and how much they will impact your original skills. whether it will be mostly changing the damage type, adding additional effects, or changing the skill drastically (turning an action skill into a tab skill. Or making a single target into an AOE)

How is class versatility looking? Like will only the classes with the Tank class be able to tank, or will a fighter be able to act as a tank as well if equiped with a shield?

You would just choose a Tank Class as your Primary Role and then as your Secondary a Fighter Class. The Tank role gives you that tank vibe where as the fighter role in theory should give you the versatility of that class (Though the Secondary Role hasnt really been gone over in any real depth yet other then it adds to your primary archtype in someway whether its cosmetically, or skill related.)

Nope, not even Intrepid knows how long it might be, because it is there to address problems with systems and mechanics they release and test. Testing goes good, things go fast, testing goes bad, things go slow. A major core infrastructure bug is found (as happened in A1 testing) then it goes even slower. So your answer is.... No.

Anet looked at doing it years ago and it's not just not profitable but you would have to restrict open world and WvW access because the consoles still cannot handle it, just as TRAHA had to limit console world interaction whereas PC is unlimited. WoW would have more limitations on keybind support and how builds are developed afterwards which would affect the game more than the playerbase would want, for WoW its more about money though.

Xbox is a PC under the hood and when a new generation releases, it's literally cheaper to buy it for the hardware itself than you could possibly build the equivalent pc for.

Something you're forgetting is network interaction as well as port interaction when online servers connect to consoles versus PCs (Which objectively have more power with well built ones) that's wherein lies the issues even longdale said so because WoW, even now having microsoft behind, would have an insane time trying to port the game. Its just physically not feasible and everyone in the industry has said so, starting from scratch is the easiest way and its not worth it in the end.

Hiya, I have a request! So I've been playing WOW and they have a thing called 'engineering' that crafts one time use items ranging from bombs to statues that take aggro. My request is that I really like the idea of consumable items that can change a fight in a instant that isn't just a passive buff. I think this can be done by having each crafting discipline be able to craft a unique type of consumable item like alchemists can make poisons that you can throw the bottles to spread a small area of poison or a grease bottle that will make a grease puddle or a temporary slowing terrain. Also like gemsmiths can use special shiny baubles that attract wild animals if it is in the sun or like a weaver and glass worker/alchemist can make Molotov's and so on. I think having things like that would be super cool and fun haha

No, I guess I'm mostly curious why they chose to visually represent the bags this way compared to how it's usually done. This way takes up a lot of visual real estate.

Beyond that, I think it could be more interesting if they took it a step further so not every herb is a 4 block square and you gotta tetris it a bit.

You do have to tetris it. Herbs are 1x2 while ores are 2x2, so for example you could put herbs into the ore bag that was shown but you could not put ore into the herb bag that was shown. Different bags will have different slot configurations making it easier or harder to store different types of resources in those bags.

I guess, I missed the part of being able to put any mat into any bag. That usually is restricted. Still though, you'd generally just put herbs in herbs for the added stacking numbers.

yeah we don't really know that but just based on this stream it looks like the current implementation has all the resources of each type being the same dimensions. The logs take less space than the ore though so if anything is nerfed by that it would be ore. But there's too many other factors like how much of the resource type you get, how useful it is, etc

Or is the signature thing just for any wearable item a player can craft?

It is a massive desire, and they will have a huge animal system through summons, mounts, and cosmetic pets so it is not really a huge deal to add. You are misinterpreting. The 250 or 375 pack give access to the same thing. A2 is A2.

There was no "spot testing access" sold. Participation in spot testing before the official launch of A2 is completely up to Intrepid as to who is let in and qualifies.

Hey Yokai, it's likely we do both. There will be plenty of time during Alpha Two where players test like a new player would normally play the game. There will also be specific things we want tested at specific times during Alpha Two.
