With Cleric, I hope when "target healing" a teammate there is an icon next to the players name that they're being targeted. When teammate was hidden by mobs (out of view), players name disappears and there doesn't appear to show any indication that the player is "targeted" for the next heal. There was never a quoted "maximum of 10 skills" In fact quite the opposite is true. They have maintained for years that there will be around 35-40 abilities per archetype and you would have around 15-20 active possible at one time. As with anything, before setting mental images of how you think things are going to be in Ashes, consult the wiki.

Players can build their characters with the active skills they want on their action bar (hotbar).[33][34][35]

The maximum number of skills a player can have on their action bar will be around 15-20.[36][37]
Each archetype will have roughly 35-40 skills to choose from on average.[38]
There will be an option to include multiple action bars (hotbars) on a player's UI.[39][33][35] For example: One Fighter will be different from another based on what active skills they have chosen.[37]

This is something that came up in the q&a portion yesterday and the short answer was (in my words) “that part is very much u finished and a work in progress at this point”.

From my pov the look of the game belies the fact that it is an alpha. Meaning the core mechanics of the game are in flux, and the overall state of the game only needs to be in a state where the needed things can be tested. Not in a finished game state. And it makes sense that they want to get a pretty good idea of the skills and abilities that will be in the game before licking down how the targeting works exactly. Right now it just has to be workable.

I remember this as well. The question was in regards to skills being a curated portion or not I believe.

But regardless, the answer was not intended to be a specific number, but rather something like “you won’t have 30-40 skills you can use at one time, it will be less, closer to 10-15”. They where very non committal.

Keep in mind you'll only get the new cosmetics from your increased tier level.

So, there may be gloves as part of a full body costume that are red and made of cotton. There may be gloves that look very close to those that are blue and made of leather, are a single piece, and can be used for transmog. But you will not get the exact same thing. Another example is the otter mounts. You will be able to tame and breed otters of various colors, but you will never be able to get the skin of that particular shade of purple with the bamboo barding saddle in game.

So if you were to assemble a full set of a pre order set as an in game reward it would most likely just be all in different colors and not match?

And materials. Now could you dye them all to a particular shade. In some cases yes, in some cases no. Simple fix for Intrepid to make those individual pieces not dyeable in certain channels (consult the wiki on how dyeing works) and thus you are never able to get an exact match to a pre-order cosmetic. Basically they have said no, they are not going to let people earn the pre-order exclusives in game in any way that would be interpreted as "reducing their value" to those that got them. Since all cosmetics are account bound, not like anyone can sell them for RMT or in game advantage in any case. You skin something, and then sell it to someone, they get the base item, not the skin. You dye something and sell it to someone, they get the base color when you transfer it to them. All sorts of loopholes they are closing, and when any more are pointed out, they close those.

There is some clarification needed on that one. You can use the skin on any character on your account, but only one at a time. Think of it like a closet. You can take the pink sweater out and put it on one character, if you want another one to wear it, you have to put it back in, and then have the other character take it out and put it on. So you will not be using say the same horse skin on every character at the same time.

Maybe a question that has been answered elsewhere, but if nodes have specific levels associated to them (i.e. X node is for players level 10-15), what is the motivation for higher level players to level up the node? Wouldn’t the progression of these nodes drastically slow down after the influx of newer players has diminished? Would only the nodes that are closer to cap levels be the ones that see serious progression? Apologies again if these questions have already been answered, but couldn’t find much on the forums (though these might be answered with this months livestream)!

nodes will rise and fall due to player activity moving around the server. some will be sieged to unlock new content in surrounding nodes. others will become less populated due to higher taxes, or seasonal changes changing crops and access to resources

nodes are a core dynamic element of the world, basically most things are triggered by nodes either leveling or being destroyed

and of course nodes have superpowers when they reach max level, these will benefit the citizens and surrounding regions

and will also make the node more of a target to other competing nodes

Lets say I’m doing a raid with my friends and a pvp group comes to us but they don’t even attack us . They Bring a lot of mobs pulled from somewhere else to ruin our experience. In ArcheAge although you're able to change into any spec in the game at any moment realistically it's not something you can actually do because it does not change your gear. And the problem comes from this is you can't really change your class because that's four to five months of grinding due to how gear works.

The combat looks ok, time to kill seems really really long. Imagining myself fighting these minotaurs alone looked.. very time consuming (unfun). Unless ofc, the drops are really good and they balance the time investment vs crafting materials for each mob, maybe it works.

I really hope they get it right in the end.

My opinion is, I believe most people want to FEEL powerful, I think about it like tug of war, normally games have us trained where like 10+ minotaurs could be on one side of the rope, and on the other side is our OP selves, within a 30-45 seconds you could clear 10 of them and it's so satisfying. So this this livestream showing 3 people ganging up on 1 minotaur and taking like 30 seconds to bring it down was, at the end of the day, not really what I was hoping for but we'll see what it turns into over time.

That's just a rumour. Plus all cosmetics work on all races, and there will be plenty of cosmetics to come, both for sale and earned in game. My advice would be save your money and put it to better use. Or spend it if you reaally think it's worth it and forget about the key which was free to begin with. Sad we can't give it away. Personally gonna keep my cash n use it elsewhere. 250/375 waaaay too much for just cosmetics imo.

No u cant. Since every Server may be different from each other and some items dont exist in one of them, this wouldnt make sense.

Presumably (my guess) is that they will sell access to Betas just by itself and also sell individual cosmetics that aren’t exclusive to the month they launch - but we will see

Anything involving buying Alpha 2 keys will be gone after the close of the September pack. There is no guarantee that you will be able to upgrade, though any upgrades with the Alpha 2 attached will be a definite no. There 'might' be an opportunity to gain an Alpha 2 key if they decide, during Alpha 2, that they need more testers, but again that is not a guarantee.
