Archery skills need to be improved there are a lot of light effects, I think there are too many glaring missing skills. You can weaken the slots as well as wide area skills such as a rain of arrows. Team of 4 cuts hard

However since they are closer to some of the pre-set node locations, some nodes might improve faster than the others, which are going to be locked because of these closer nodes to the starting points.
Isn't that creating a bit of pre-defined world structure regarding the politics etc. even before the start?

Ashes of Creation will be on the higher side of difficulty when it comes to engagements.

Does anyone have info on what a Node will look like transitioning from 1 stage to the next? Will we see buildings get constructed or will they magically appear? What happens if a player is inside a spot where a building needs to be for the transition to be completed? Alrighty, last question for probably a while as I got work in a few, but I know you can set AOE spells to not hit combatants and you can set AOE heals to not heal combatants so that you don't get flagged, but is there a way to disable single-target spells from hitting combatants or anyone for that matter outside of maybe a corrupted player? I push buttons pretty quickly and don't want to accidentally target someone and misfire a spell into their noggin and then just get erased from the gene pool right after

Because Baldur's Gate is in no way comparable to an MMO that requires server infrastructure to host thousands of players and for AAA games it is actually harmful to let too many people try out game content that is unpolished

Baldur's Gate is also not exactly playable, getting to max level was easy, replay value non-existent and lots of game mechanics were very buggy for a long time. No way AoC should ruin its polished image by handing out access to a game in that state.

Hey I have somewhat of a question-suggestion regarding the combat abilities of the fighter class

So far we have see I think two abilities from it. Those being the spin and the hammer. I think they look nice but when I think of the fighter class what abilities come to mind are more of actual combat animations rather than a spin or the energy of a hammer coming down.

So my question is, what kind of abilities should we expect on the fighter class? And my suggestion is that as the name implies the fighter should be a fight expert as in being able to swing super fast and efficiently, the spin is fine but it gives a doll feeling since for me it doesn’t show that It is a combat expert but instead a casual swing of a weapon for damage. I hope you guys can understand although I do realize it might be confusing. For example an ability could be something like a quick attack were depending of the weapon you are holding the animation will change: daggers attack fast short and precise, greatsword attacks with big swings range and more all over rather than just hitting one point, spear is fast precise and it has range so something like multiple front stabs, sword and shield a combination of fast swings from the sword and blunt hits with the shield, hammer or mace crushing hits not so fast not slow but big impact

Exactly. I don't care if the game is ever supported officially, it doesn't need to. Just as long as the SDK is correctly configured I can make it work. Essentially, just about every game works under Linux where EAC doesn't get in the way.

In 2018 people said that the "before 2020" date was too far away and Ashes would be dead before that

In my opinion, alpha 2 won't be this year, so no problem if it doesn't release in the next 12 months

It starts with ludicrous skins and devolves into the WoW Token. Even having premium skins to begin with takes away from the creativity you'll find from skins earned in-game. They don’t add legacy roles anymore. I had to make a new account and they didn’t re-add them either. It really doesn’t matter.

The only one they’ll add is Alpha 1 in order to access the spot testing channels and for that you’ll have to file a ticket assuming you actually have A1 access.

That is the current plan yes. Downtime for patches, server restarts and rollbacks but will run till launch and then be converted into a PTS server for future patches and any possible planned expansions.

Sometimes this error message comes up because of a bug. If you're impacted by this bug, changing your email address (and changing it back) is a workaround.

Well you see, a crossbow has a mechanism that holds it open until you pull a trigger, a bow is pulled back and released without machanical help

So far the only instanced pvp they’ve revealed are indeed arenas but we don’t know if there will be other modes and if any of the other pvp events (castle sieges, node sieges, etc.) may have parts of them be instanced content.

Keep in mind they haven’t mentioned anything about cutting off A2 sales and during A1 you could still buy A1 access for a while so there is no rush to get any packages

Where can I find the timeliness for warring in AOC?

Castle sieges can happen from node lvl 3 (min of 1 and a half weeks of lvling a node) and up, correct? And then if a node wins a siege they are protected from another declaration for four days? Then the preparation stage begins for another day or two before battle where enemy players can freely target eachother in their node areas and defense/attack preparations can be done.
