afaik, summoners don't share hp with the summoner. It would be quite hard to implement since you can have up to 3 summons active at a time, and each summon can have different stats (there are tank, dps and support type summons available).

All packages at the moment are shown in a concept state. They usually show off the turntable when the initial model is done and then the ingame model months later when it's completed. (To be fair 99% of the shop items look like their concept) but by then it's been removed from the store.

How that new content will function while coexisting with the known alpha 2 content is also anyone's guess.

They don’t need to test every hidden dungeon. If it shares a vast majority of the code, they could keep that off until launch. WoW didn’t test the final boss of the new raid at all so people would discover the mechanics on the live servers rather than theory crafting during testing

And that can apply to things other than hidden dungeons as well

The more freeholds in the zone, the more expensive the next one gets. So, if you're not fast to placing one, you would either pay more or go to a different node

If you study the wiki entry, it should give you answers 🙂 1. Getting your own freehold will be designed to be difficult and something you need to actively work toward. So probably, not everybody will have one, but other means of housing will be available. 2. There is ample space in the world and limitations on where a freehold cannot be placed aren't super restrictive.

I'm really sorry to disturb guys, but i don't see the point of having a button that changes the playstyle.. I mean for the hunter for exemple, i guess that tab mean that your basic attack always connect (would also be faster since we don't need to aim)

A1 access was still available for puchase while A1 was running (up until a few days before A1 ended) so A2 access will almost certainly be available for purchase while A2 is running

But to 'answer' ur question : Its not like u can decide in what mode u r using a specific skill (tab/action)
Skills r predetermined in what mode u have to use them.
Example : Eagleshot (just out of my fantasy!) will be usable in actionmode... so u cant use it in tabmode
So u can either go with an hybrid build to use all the skills u wanna use or u just take skills (remember u have to go with atleast (max)75% tab/ (min)25% action or vice versa )
in ur preferred mode but may be missing out good skills from the other mode.
Also hard cc is just available in action mode (hard cc = stun, knock down etc)
Some skills may change their mode while leveling it up

Ok so, Steven has said "it will will be done when it will be done" The reason there is no deadline is because this is a self funded game. There is no publisher or big brand behind it. So the only thing Intrepid is "accountable to" is intrepid themselves AND the players. This being said, Its very hard to give a deadline when you make so many adjustments along the way, as they are diong. Theyr primary principle for making this game is "hearing out the community and adjusting". Which is why many things evolve and change along teh way, which is why it takes time. They dont want to pressure themselves with a date. If they did not have the cash for it, they would have to put a date down according to their budget. But that isnt a constraint for them at this point in time.

Just found out about this game a few days ago, looks really interesting. Gives me a bit of EVE vibes with the complex economy and what I understand as that the players have a lot of impact on building up the world. Just my first impressions though 🙂

1. Are the alpha testing available and on-going at all times? Or is it time-constrained during testing periods?
2. I would get access to the game and alpha/beta tests by purchasing one of the pre-order packs?
3. Any info on what the price will be on release? $75 is a bit steep compared to existing mmo's (given that most are F2P or P2W now adays). Not saying that price-tag is unreasonable though.

Not answering for Intrepid as I'm not working for them. But studios tend to have a fairly similar set of requirements for hiring so here's some suggestions to keep in mind if you want to get into the game biz

• Keep your portfolio up to date with your latest work. Either on your personal website, or on a site such as deviant art or artstation. You won't be invited to a first interview unless you are able to show some of your work in the application (a portfolio is a must have for any art related position)
• Don't overthink what the studio is looking for too much. Send in your application (CV + Personal Letter + Portfolio) and let them decide if you are relevant or not.
• I can't stress this enough: SEND IN THAT APPLICATION! You will miss 100% of the chances you don't go for! A no isn't the end of the world, if you are lucky you can even get some direct feedback from the studio to why they declined you which is great information for improving your skillset.
• For entry level positions you should specifically look for junior roles or internships, but don't be discouraged to send in an open application if a role at your particular level isn't available.
• Don't be too set on one specific company if this is your first job in the game biz. ANY experience working in ANY game studio will speak louder and once you got a foot in you can start looking for jobs and projects you feel more passionate about while also gaining some daily xp from your current job.
• All studios have their different culture, but some things are universal: 1) Be coachable/teachable, meaning that you are able to take advice and feedback from peers, managers and seniors. 2) You don't have to be a socially extrovert person, but you need to be friendly and ok to hang out around.

Some general advice from the top of my mind. Coming from a decade of working at different game studios and recruiting new hires.

They usually have their careers on their careers page but California recently changed one of their laws so job listings are required to provide the salary range offered for each role so Intrepid took down the job listings while they add the salary ranges. Usually though most the roles are "Senior" but that doesn't mean you can't apply anyway

Ok i am wondering about the Fighter->Bard that becomes a Bladedancer. When you take your secondary archetype, is that going to make you wear Dual Swords as it is in Lineage in order to Buff your party? How they plan to develop that system for the support, fighters. Any thoughts? ;d

Weapons are not linked to class. Your primary archetype determines your abilities and your secondary gives added modifiers to them.

A skill called "Intimidating shout" might give you +30 attack for 10 seconds. Your bard sub might have a mod to buff the range, duration, or give nearby allies a weakened effect (speculation/example)

Ok but they way they made archetypes you have 64 unique classes, but actually there are 120 different varieties after you remove the base combination for example Fighter-Fighter. Because most classes have actually 2 different Main archetype( Cleric with Tank augment/Tank with Cleric augment= Apostle). Excuse me if i am wrong D:

The secondary archetype gives access to 4 different augment schools, each of these augments can be applied to each spell. So you could roll Tank + Cleric and apply the Clerics Holy augment type to the Tanks Shield Charge, or could apply the Clerics Shadow augment type to the Tanks shield charge, etc.

If a player wants to achieve a freehold they can achieve the freehold, however the amount of effort resources and time that's required in order to achieve that freehold is a large amount. It is something that is a monumental achievement for you to to get that freehold.

Answers to questions are mostly confined to monthly livestreams and special AMA events. There are also content creator interviews that sometimes give information. And frequently in the past when Ashes had first entered development Steven would "leak" information and answer questions at his whim here. That has not happened in years now.
