Most of the PvP in this game has come in the form of either scrims or scheduled events like node wars and sieges. The amount of organic PvP that happens in the open world is scarce, especially on land.

I genuinely came into this phase purely to check out the gathering rarity and crafting changes and to experiment with the new set bonuses. I had zero expectations that PvP was going to be a thing.

We got a couple node wars in at least which was fun, but the game really does need to change.

Honestly the thing that cracks me up more than anything about all this is DA got trounced so fucking badly in New World that he fled to this game and used it as a means to rebuild his Enveus roster. Except we showed up and beat his ass again in alpha 3 until his guild fucking dissolved and folded into Polar despite having years of experience over us from playing previous alpha phases. He knew he could never really compete on any realistic level, so his only option left was to grift. I at least respect him for knowing how total his loss was to us across multiple games -- especially after Enveus deliberately avoided playing TL with the intent of focusing exclusively on Ashes as "their future" -- even if he was so blatantly obvious about the grift from P3 onward.

That's why I'm not honestly sure if I believe that Tmugsy screenshot, but if true, I find it even more hilarious that Polar was that bad at figuring out what the rest of us knew all along. I'm sure he'll clap himself on the back as will others for making a small profit off Ashes, but I still find it endlessly hilarious he and others took years of their life prepping for this game to be their big return to form, and this is the result.

Polar? Sure. Though I think most of Polar would agree Epherium/Dopamine vs. Polar was very 50/50 and both sides won and lost fights in both P1 and P2. Classic does not sell credits that you can sell for gold. The highest tier of p2w you get from anything in the credit shop is a red freighter upgrade (whoa, 2 extra minutes of eco-fuel) and convenience things like anywhere mailbox, anywhere warehouse. The least p2w of all archeage experiences.

From what I've seen so far. It's fine, and this guy sounds a little bitter. The game is 10 bucks, you'll be surprised how often you see something that looks like it was ripped out of ashes, but actually works in Quinfall.
